Villa Golden Blue is a private home situated on one of the prime knoll tops on the East end of St. Croix. It features a magnificent vista to the North Shore including Buck Island and the St. Croix Yacht Club. To the East is the iconic Countessa’s Castle and unequaled expansive views of the rising sun. The Southern terrace offers mesmerizing ocean views with the sounds of the ocean waves on the coral. At night this terrace is superb for stargazing.
The large free form pool is surrounded by native flora. Open, large doors create breezes to make outdoor living indoors. The property has plentiful patio space surrounded by flowers and palm trees for private reading and relaxing. The kitchen is fully equipped including a commercial gas range. All bedrooms are equipped with a/c units. Newly installed ultraviolet water purification system.
The closest beaches are Cramer Park and Jack and Isaac's Bay located 3 - 5 minutes East respectively to the villa.

Perfect Getaway

This property was amazing, and the views of the North and South shores were spectacular. The property manager was great to deal with and made checking in a breeze. The house came with everything needed to make our vacation easy and comfortable. If you like to cook like I do, the kitchen came fully stocked with all the needed utensils which was definitely a huge plus. Highly recommend booking a stay here.

Loved the property. Worked well for 7 of us. Char, the property manager, met us at Ziggys and took us directly to the property. She gave us a quick tour and explained some of the things we needed to know. When we contacted her, she was very quick to respond. It is nice to see someone doing their job the right way!

Beautiful Home with Stunning Views

The house is great! It has everything you need.The views are absolutely stunning. We loved the pool and swam in it every day, despite there being an issue with the pump which was corrected. Stephanie, the property manager was very responsive. The only negative was the driveway into the house. We rented a van because we had 6 people and luggage. Really need a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Ended up parking at the end of the driveway; otherwise we'd bottom out. That said, I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Dream family vacation

This property is amazing. It h has everything we needed for a wonderful family vacation. The pool was the perfect temp for nighttime swims! I guess they talked to the iguanas because they were all completely well behaved (much to our teen boy’s disappointment, lol!). The perfect location to easily get to Jack and Isaac bay, Christianstead, and point Udall. Cane bay was worth the drive, highly recommend you do that as well! This home is equipped with everything we needed. We loved the open doors and the breezes that flow through the house. The views are breathtaking. House was clean and updated. We will DEFINITELY be back. Thank you!!

Wonderful place to call home on vacation!

We had a wonderful week-long stay at Villa Golden Blue in March 2024. The home is on a hill with incredible views from the expansive outdoor areas. The pool was beautiful and large enough to swim laps. We enjoyed the indoor/outdoor living that was possible when we opened the huge doors on the main floor living area. There is a cross-breeze that makes air conditioning unnecessary, although we did enjoy the AC in the bedrooms at night. The house is a short 15-minute drive or so from Christensted for dining and shopping. There are also numerous restaurants and bars within a couple of minutes' drive. Most of the beaches we went to are a little drive; Rainbow Beach and Cane Bay Beach were our favorites. Our experience with the property owners and the property manager were nothing but positive. They went above and beyond to make our stay as perfect as possible. I wholeheartedly recommend Villa Golden Blue!

Wonderful Family Trip

My husband and I rented the house for a two week stay with my in-laws, my parents and our 4-year-old daughter and everyone agreed it was wonderful. Pros: The house is spacious, as is the pool. The beds, linens, and furnishings are quality and comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped. The outdoor spaces are endless and a huge boon to the property. The lounge deck at the pool, hidden hammocks and outdoor eating off the dining room are beautiful living spaces and the patio space on the other side of the second floor is the BEST location for open ocean views, night star gazing and the perfect way to spend evenings with a drink. Grocery, beaches and Christiansted are nearby by, but you get the secluded peace up the hill. Char is excellent house manager. Things to know - and, I say this because none raised to the level of a Con for us but they may impact other travelers depending on your preferences: Iguanas are present and animal's poop :0 In our case, the daily iguana visits to the pool were a highlight for my daughter. She equally liked the small lizards only 2 of whom we ever saw in the house - we expected this, and it didn't concern our group. The bedrooms have splits, and the AC made the sleeping areas plenty cool. The main areas of the house are not AC'd. We found that the open air set up and ocean breezes made it comfortable. Water temps got warm but not HOT. We adored the island and the space and will be back next year!

Beautiful well-appointed home with great views and a large pool, plus great service!

This home is everything the pictures show and then some. Really large pool, many patios to choose from to enjoy the views to the north, east and south, large bedrooms with a/c, and one of the best equipped kitchens we have experienced at a rental. The property manager, Stephanie, met us to show us to the home (private addresses are not easy to get to via google maps) and show us around. She was incredibly responsive to us via text, whether giving pointers on things to do or answering questions about the property. When the propane powering the gas range ran out, she was there within 15 minutes to switch it out. We tried a few grocery stores during our stay and found the Cost-u-less to be best suited to our needs — they are a warehouse store like Costco but also have smaller quantities of produce, dairy, and baked goods; the produce seemed better quality here than anywhere else we shopped. Duggan’s Reef, the restaurant right at the bottom of the hill near the property, is adjacent to a public beach that we didn’t discover until several days into our stay — we recommend it for a very nearby and easily accessible beach experience, complete with lounge chairs and a couple of tables. (Park by the restaurant and the well maintained walkway will take you to the beach. We had a good meal at the restaurant too — they serve dinner only and you should make a reservation a few days ahead if you can.)

Amazing house, incredible views!!

We spent a week at this wonderful house, three couples. Everything was perfect. The house is plenty big enough for eight people but they were just six of us. There are beautiful views from every angle. The patio area was amazing -we spent the entire week sitting outside chatting, using the pool and just visiting while looking at the ocean . The kitchen had everything you could possibly think of. The air conditioners in the bedrooms worked well and the cross ventilation in the rest of the house was fine as long as all the doors were open. There were plenty of towels for both the bathrooms and the beach. The house also came with beach chairs and everything you would need. We had a few small issues but the Stephanie , the property manager and Dennis, the handyman were fantastic. Anything we called about was taken care of within a few hours. The pool was a great thing to have. The small section is not available as a hot tub but we knew that when we rented it. I got great advice from both Stephanie and Sara, the owner. If you have any questions just ask they can give you great tips about the island! I highly recommend the house. We will probably rent again for next year.

St. Croix Feb.3 - Feb.10 Our yearly family/friend's vacation:

PRO's: The property itself was stunning. The views of Contessa Castle and the Carribean were unmatched. This was out second time in St Croix. The ability to have both sides of the house open for crosswinds really made it feel like indoor/outdoor living. It also allowed both sun & sunbathers to enjoy the views. The generator sure did its job when we lost power during the unusually outrageous 3 days of wind/rain that wreaked havoc across the entire Carribean this week. Even with the weather, St Croix is breathtaking from here We loved the mini fridge and the Gourmet stove in the kitchen and appreciated the beach chairs, and towels you had for us. CON's: The house is showing its age. cabinets in kitchen broken, doors knobs loose, not closing or getting stuck (had to help several times with the upstairs bathroom to get our friends out). The front door lock had a glitched that ess locked us out one night. My husband had to fix it. The outdoor hot tub and outdoor shower were not working, nor was the master bed jet tub. *There are several areas where the bricks are worn and chipped leaving a very uneven and significant trip hazard. There are soo many light switches, you have no idea what turns on what, some appear to have no use whatsoever. It would be so helpful if they could be labeled. Even after a week, I had no idea what some of them were for. *With all that being said, it didn't ruin our time there. I just thought being thorough would help others. It's hard to pick a VRBO

Dear Jennifer, Your 2 friends were checked in and had ALL the pertinent info regarding the house- we are so sorry they didn’t share it with you which caused you to leave a less than perfect review- which is rare for us since we strive for great reviews and great stays for all of our guests. We do not advertise a jetted tub in the primary bath and the property manager explained that to your friends that checked in since you weren’t present at check in- ask them about the unique story regarding the tub! We do not advertise a hot tub or a second outdoor shower- we only have a sitting pool attached to the main pool and the 1 outdoor shower by the pool which was all explained at check in. We are unaware of any broken kitchen cabinets or door knobs but will check them. The Danish bricks have been there many years and are a piece of island history! We are sorry about any problems you experienced but again they weren’t reported during your stay so that they could be addressed- you and another person in the group had the managers phone number and never said a word about anything at all. When the property manager texted you mid stay asking how everything was- you never responded (except with a picture that was probably accidental) so we had no idea of any issues or that your friends didn’t inform you of these items. Many of these issues would have been addressed or fixed by simply contacting the property manager- we also have a handy man that would have come right out. You booked and paid for only 6 people and you had 7- maybe that’s why you avoided communication during the stay and waited until the review to report anything.

Wow factor went away quickly

It was a disappointing experience for most of us. We could have looked past most things, however communication with the owner was basic, sometimes disappointing also. Communication with the property manager became uncomfortable once threat of a tropical storm came. From there confusion set in, and caused our family another day and a half of stress and inconvenience as we had to promptly were told to find a different place to stay. No storm ever hit btw. The animals up there are a bit out of control. The iguanas took over the pool every mid day, followed by large piles of excrement. They werent afraid to swim with us, but were..There is a bird that also cqme around throughout the day and left his "tracks" behind. He was in the house daily. Also a cat, it too felt the need to zoom in long enough to get into our trash and urinate on some of our towels. I was so excited to cook meals for everyone in that beautiful kitchen, how's there is no central air in the main house and not enough breeze can come into the kitchen to cool it down enough to cook. A med size oscillating fan on the wall gave momentary relief , mildly. The back patio has several broken bricks and most all of us got a stubbed toe before it was a shoes only and watch your step scenario. The views were amazing, but I also went on to stay at 4 other VRBOs before leaving the island, and I can definitely say there is something better on stx at this price point, with same amenities.

Amazing House!

We had an amazing vacation at this house! We were met by the property manager and shown around. She answered any questions we had and was very quick to respond. The house is incredible! Beautiful views, so much space, comfortable beds, and decorated beautifully. The pool was also amazing. Very impressed with how well it is maintained. While we enjoyed exploring the island, we were just as happy staying at the house lounging on the patios or in the pool! We've stayed at quite a few rental homes and condos and this house was the BEST stocked house we had ever stayed at!!! We had a fabulous time and would definitely rent again!!

Vacation in St Croix

This house was amazing! We loved the outdoor living spaces and pool but most of all the privacy. We weren’t sure about the “open air” living space but it was actually quite enjoyable with the constant breeze. So glad we had nice air conditioned rooms to retire to at night. We found this property to be the best stocked VRBO we have ever visited. Loved this property!

what a spectacular place!

Such a beautiful place, you can see both sides of island, get great breezes. It is a beautiful home, all the amenities you would want, well stocked kitchen. felt very at home. Loved the pool, kids did too! The only thing to beware of is the Roads on st Croix are a pot hole nightmare. But getting around was easy. people on island are very friendly. If you want a Buck island tour plan before you get here! There were 7 of us and I called the next day we got there and just managed to get a half day tour.

Amazing Pool!!!!

This pool was the best. We visited a few hotels for lunch, dinner, beach access throughout our stay and the pool at Goldenblue was better than all of them! Plus we had it all to ourselves (eight of us). Stephanie (onsite host) was very attentive and helpful. It was an amazing home!!!!

Awesome spot with great views

This house has everything you could need and the most amazing views in every direction. Pool is great (and huge) and the property is well taken care of. Kitchen was nicely stocked. Getting to the property is also very easy compared to some properties we've rented on other islands.

Paradise

This property is beautiful! The house is spacious and fun, with the pool, billiard table, and large porches. The property manager is wonderful and very easy to communicate with, providing quick responses to any questions. I would stay here again!

Highly recommend!

The property has beautiful views! The house was well stocked and the pool was perfect! Check the cabinets and fridge before you go to the grocery store as there is alot you can use. Definitely make a stop by Ziggy's, Duggans Reef and Castaway.

Perfect

This was our 2nd year staying here and it never lets us down. The location is perfect and very private. Also the new property manager takes care of you and is very quick to reply to any of your needs. If you have a chance to stay here do it.....

Extravagant Villa

Everything you could possibly need for cooking, entertaining, and entertainment! The master bedroom was extremely comfortable and private. The master bath luxurious. The pool and surround is beautiful and sunny. Stephanie was there within 15 minutes when the cistern ran low from the pool maintenance man and easily switched to the second cistern. Loved having triple filtered water. Only two of us, we never needed to use the lower level except to access pool and laundry.
