Excellent Cabin

Thank you so much to the owners of Lakefront Winter Retreat. The cabin was very clean & comfortable. The owner even made sure I had firewood, charcoal, lighter fluid and kindling. That was much appreciated. Owners went above and beyond to answer questions, and ensure a great stay.Instructions for check in-check out were clear and easy.Thank you again, and yes I would stay again.Nick

The cabin was 12 miles (20 minutes) from The Little Lazy Lodge where we had a family wedding. It was cozy, comfortable and fit our needs well! The host left water for the coffee, treats & notes around the house to answer questions that could arise. A beautiful porch with comfortable seating facing the lake was the perfect spot for morning coffee, reading and visiting.The cabin had lots of beds for sleeping - a bedroom downstairs next to the only bathroom and the rest in the loft. The spiral staircase to the loft was neat, but not so handy for older people, or little kids.Cool places less than an hour from the cabin to eat, get ice cream, or search for Big Foot! :)Very nice place to stay on a lake in this area! Host called before our stay to make sure the place would meet our expectations and made us feel welcome when we were there!

Wedding Weekend Lodging

We needed a place to stay for a family wedding at The Little Lazy Lodge, Boy River. This cabin was about 20 minutes from the venue (only 12 miles, but winding, lake-country roads). There was a little confusion the 1st evening because cellular service is a little spotty in the woods and we weren’t sure which cabin & where to park. This could have been easily remedied if I had downloaded the information. When I accessed the info, it was a very easy keyless entry!The bedroom with 2 twin beds downstairs next to the bathroom was perfect for “Grandma”.The loft was spacious & provided many places to sleep. The spiral staircase was a little precarious and getting up and down was challenging for some. I was glad that we did not have any young kids with us.Comfortable, cozy seating, treats, reading materials & coffee were there to make it feel homey.Instructions were easy to understand and little notes around the house also provided guidance.A very nice place to stay on Boy Lake!!
