The Space

Your dream Fall or Winter cottage has finally arrived! Opened in Summer 2025, from the moment you pull into the driveway, you'll feel the calm of the water and the crisp pine air. Inside, you’ll find a completely renovated, open-concept interior — airy, bright, and curated with clean finishes and a timeless cottage feel. Large windows bring the lakefront right to you, while vaulted ceilings and natural light invite you to truly unwind.

The main living area blends comfort and style with a Smart TV, a cozy seating area, boardgames and lake views that never get old. The kitchen is fully equipped for everything from pancake breakfasts to lakeside spreads, and flows seamlessly into the dining area.

Step outside and take in the huge deck overlooking the lake, outfitted with a fire table dining setup, zero gravity chairs, and everything you need for memorable evenings under the stars.

In the summertime, spend the day soaking up the sun on your private dock, paddling the shoreline in the kayak or pedal boat, or floating with a drink in hand on our provided water lily. In the cooler months gather around the bonfire pit for stories and s’mores, or cozy up at the fire table while dinner is cooking in our fully equipped kitchen. Cedar & Sand Lakehouse has everything you need for an incredible getaway, no matter the season!

Sleeping Arrangements

Master Bedroom – King bed, forest views, quality linens with deck on second level
Second Bedroom – Queen bed, forest views, quality linens with deck on second level
Third Bedroom – Double bed, on main level with ensuite bathroom.

All beds are made with soft linens, plush duvets, and the kind of pillows that make sleeping in worth it.

Bathrooms

Main Floor Bathroom – Beautifully renovated with a modern glass shower, vanity, and toilet. Also includes washer/dryer for guest use.

Upstairs Bathroom – Full 4-piece bathroom with a shower/tub combo, perfect for unwinding after a day outside.

- Year-round access via plowed roads, we do recommend an SUV in winter even though the road does get ploughed.
Guest access
Guests have full and exclusive access to the entire cottage, deck, dock, firepit, and all outdoor equipment (kayak, pedal boat, fire table, BBQ). We’ll provide a guidebook before check-in with everything you need to know. No access to the basement level as it is unfinished and a crawl space and we store the home's restocking items.
Other things to note
Seasonal Note: Water equipment and dock access are available early summer through mid-fall, and are weather dependent.

Winter Access: We recommend you are comfortable driving in winter conditions in the country. The main road to the cottage is maintained however, we always recommend to bring an SUV or 4x4 in the north. We have shovels and salt on the driveway. Please note that we do not have a generator, should the power go out we do not do refunds unless the outages are over 24 hours. There is a fireplace to heat the home.

Security cameras are located at the front driveway and facing the dock for safety and weather monitoring.

Power and internet outages are rare but can happen due to rural location—please plan accordingly.

A rental agreement will be sent after booking to confirm details and house rules. Guests will have to sign in upon arrival to comply with the Minden Hills STR Rental Bylaw.

Garbage has to be taken off-site with you after your stay. Our property doesn’t have any type of garbage disposal. There are nearby garbage dumps, but we recommend you check their hours before check-out. We have a cottage kit available for our guests to take to the dump site.

Our space is located in the woods and we do treat the exterior to keep out pests including insects and mice, this is a reality of being surrounded by beautiful mother nature. Should this be of concern to you our space may not be the best fit. Animals you may see during your stay include deer, black bears, snakes, groundhogs, mice, insects.
