With a ladies of 5 having a girls weekend was very relaxing and comfortable. The view of the river right there was so peaceful, that we all are looking at renting it again in the fall so we can have use of the hot tub.

A quaint little cozy cottage hidden and nestled beside the Credit River. The river is a stone's throw away and it sounded lovely in the background throughout our stay. It's easy to forget that Brampton is only 20 minutes away as you feel as though you're in the middle of nowhere. The perfect restful vacation we needed.

While the host was kind enough to offer early check-in and late checkout, the actual condition of the home was unacceptable. We arrived to a dirty kitchen (counters, stove, fridge), hair in the shower, dirty shower glass and sinks, and floors so filthy our socks turned black immediately. More concerning were the safety and privacy issues. The home appears to be on the market; we found real estate cards left behind, and a real estate agent walked onto the deck during our stay. As a group of two women and three children, this was an alarming privacy violation. Furthermore, the 'bed' was simply a mattress on two box springs on the floor, the pull-out couch was ripped. The hot tub was a primary reason we booked was closed (which wasn't disclosed until after payment). Despite providing photos of these issues to the host, they have refused to offer any compensation. I cannot recommend this property due to the lack of hygiene and unprofessional management of showings during guest stays.

NOR THEY SENT ANY MESSAGE TO US THROUGHOUT THEIR STAY AT THE COTTAGE WITH ANY CONCERNS IN WRITING, HENCE, NOT GIVING US ANY OPPORTUNITY TO ADDRESS COCERNS IN THE MOMENT, which is a proof of their false claims. I have sent a detailed email with screenshots of all messages to VRBO for their record. I am shocked and deeply disappointed by this review, which is a fabrication of events and a retaliatory attempt to EXTORT a refund after a completed stay, following guest's request to early check-in and late checkout which we generously accepted without any extra charges. The home gets thoroughly cleaned after every guest leaves and no such filth was reported during the stay or at checkout. The "black socks" claim is baseless. In the listing, the hot tub is mentioned as 'no access' so before booking it, it is guest's responsibility to check. Secondly, it was again mentioned to our guest in writing on VRBO site that hot tub servicing will be taking place it is not available yet, when they requested to check-in super early on the day of their arrival. Any issues with furniture are manufactured to justify a refund request.The real estate agent visit was cancelled by us much before the guest's arrival day. The agent showed up and rang door bell outside the house for which I got a notification on my cell phone. I responded to the real estate agent and he apologized for being there as he mentioned that he did not check with his assistant before coming over. He did not step inside the house and left right away. I sent an immediate apology via VRBO to the guests explaining this misunderstanding. All other guest's reviews on our profile are always about how great their stay has been at the cottage with comfy and clean beds, cleanliness, views etc. 🛑 Host Warning: I cannot recommend hosting these guests due to this unprofessional and dishonest behavior.

Upon arrival, the cottage was 58 C, with only one of the four heat pumps running. The heat pump in the kitchen/lounge did not operate. The owner was contacted, and a small electric heater was located in a storage area. The TVs had no connections to a video source. The owner confirmed that it was our responsibility to supply a streaming video source. Once a second heater was supplied the next day, the cottage temperature was warm. It is recommended to turn on all heat sources the morning of arrival and disclose in the list of amenities that the onsite BBQ is charcoal, and a video source must be supplied by the renter. The cottage was very clean, and the owner responded to all the concerns quickly.

Regarding the heating, we wanted to clarify that all heat pumps were tested and operational on the morning of your arrival. When the kitchen unit showed an error, we immediately offered additional heaters and requested to send a technician to fix it. We completely respect your decision to decline the technician to maintain your privacy, though we’re sorry it meant the issue remained unresolved during your stay. As for the TV, we have noted in our property description that most guests prefer connecting via their own devices, which is why we hadn't heard of any concerns there previously. Lastly, for the safety of the cottage, we noticed the entrance doors were left closed but unlocked upon departure. We always aim to keep the property secure for future guests, so we simply wanted to mention it for the future. We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day.

Amazing staycation! Very beautiful home and very cozy. We definitely enjoyed our stay. There are close by supermarkets and the area is good. Even when the property was full of snow we were still able to enjoy a good view of the lake. Would definitely go back! The Host was very communicative and helpful during the process.
