Being born in Germany, we moved to Nelson in 2005. Loving the outdoors, especially chasing those snappers and kingies. My wife is a vet and I run a cat hotel besides being an IT geek. We have two lovely kids, a crazy dog and an even crazier cat. We love travelling and using so many AirBnBs inspired us to start our own.

The area is home to a lovely mix of long-time locals, mostly warm and friendly older residents who take great pride in the community. It’s quiet, safe, and has a relaxed vibe, perfect for a restful stay. With the city center just a short stroll away, you’ll enjoy the best of both calm and convenience.
There is no onsite parking, but free street parking is usually available directly in front of the property or nearby. The home is in an excellent central location, and almost everything in Nelson is within easy walking distance. Cafés, shops, supermarkets, and the city center are all just a short walk away.
For transportation, Nelson is a very walkable and bike-friendly town. Many guests choose to explore on foot or by bicycle. The NBus is the main public bus service and offers routes throughout the region, including Tahunanui and Richmond. Taxis and rideshare options like Zoomy are also available. If you have a car, parking around town is generally easy, with both free and paid options depending on the area.
