Tucked down a quiet cul-de-sac right on Cox Bay`s waterfront, Bay View Bach is a humble, cosy and perfectly comfortable family holiday home with a true Kiwi bach feel. Step out to your own private access to the bay and paddleboard, kayak or splash about in the calm water. Prefer dry land? Enjoy serene ocean views from the kitchen, living area and master bedroom.

Built in the Lockwood style of the `90s, the bach sleeps up to six across three bedrooms: two with queen beds and wardrobes, and one with two single beds. There is one bathroom with a shower and bath, a separate toilet, an open-plan living and dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen with stovetop, oven and microwave. The big north-facing deck has a large outdoor dining table, chairs and a covered BBQ area. Board games, books, puzzles, a Smart TV and WiFi keep everyone happy on chilled family evenings.

We provide linen, towels, toiletries, tea, coffee, milk, dishwashing and laundry supplies, firewood and gas for the BBQ, so you can arrive and unwind.

The whole property is yours, apart from the locked basement garage and one extra room (owners only). Off-street parking suits 2 to 3 cars, with space for a boat (please ask) and other sports equipment.

Surfers will love the big waves at world-famous Manu Bay, while Cox Bay and Lorenzen Bay are great for swimming, kayaking and body boarding, and you might spot orcas. Enjoy bushwalking, golf, mini putt and fishing, with Raglan`s cafes, restaurants, craft shops and supermarket a short drive away. The town centre is about a 5-minute drive or 25-minute walk. Further beaches, Mount Karioi tracks, mountain biking and Bridal Veil Falls are best reached by car.

- No pets
- Strictly no smoking indoors. If you smoke outdoors, remove butts from the property on departure.
- Residential area - Quiet time from 10pm to 9am.
- Events and parties are not permitted without prior arrangement. Guests limited to number booked. Extra charge if exceeded.
- BBQ (if available): clean with supplied cleaner after use. Cleaning fee if left dirty.
- Rubbish: 1x full blue bag allowed. Take extra with you or use a local refuse station (see house info folder).
- Recycling: 1x full bin per stay. Extra: take with you or $25/box disposal charge.
- No EV charging.
- Left belongings: $20 minimum return fee plus courier cost.
- Motion-sensor security camera may be present at entrance door. Footage may be reviewed if misconduct is suspected.

To protect your stay and our properties, ID verification is required before access details are released, and your booking is conditional on completing it. After payment, you`ll get a secure link to the property portal and will need to verify with a photo ID and a quick selfie — access details are released automatically once it`s done. Takes a few minutes; your data is handled securely by the portal operator, SuiteOp. Failure to complete ID verification will result in your booking being cancelled. Cancellation fees may apply.
