SHEETS AND TOWELS NOT INCLUDED

Upon our arrival, we found a nice welcome gift: a bottle of local cider and little candies. This place wasn't inherently subpar, it just didn't fit what we were looking for. It is in a trailer park type subdivision, not the highest quality build, everything was plastic, even the lamps. Kitchen was decent, no drinking glasses, just two champagne flutes and one mug, otherwise well equipped. (toaster oven, pots and pans, sharp knife etc). There weren't any sheets or towels! The host Julie confirmed that isn't included but she kindly brought us a couple old beach towels and sheets from her home (at 23:00!) It was a great location for visiting the D Day landing beaches and museums. It is also walking distance to the beach but we were there in late October- beach going wasn't the focus of our trip.

Séjour repos

Calme assurée, piscine à proximité chauffée , balade à la mer à 10 minutes du port et poisson frais et crustacé à l'arrivée des bateaux. Propriétaire très agréable.

Superbe sejour !!

15 jours sur les plages du debarquement faits de visites de musees, de batteries...et le soir retour dans notre chalet tout confort ! Un pur bonheur, de plus avec cette piscine couverte chauffée, extra pour se detendre. Je le recommande à 200%

Stayed for one week in this very clean chalet spacious, well equipped nice enclosed garden south facing,good heated indoor pool 15 minute stroll to port with bars ect but off course it's the d day history all around you omaha beach just 15 minute drive,sainte-mere-eglise about 30 minutes away

Chalet très bien situé

Chalet très bien situé que ce soit dans le camping (proche de la piscine, de l'entrée, du terrain de pétanque, ping pong...) et que ce soit dans la région pour visiter le débarquement. Le chalet est bien orienté permettant de profiter un maximum du soleil surtout après-midi et soir. La veranda est un vrai plus. Il y fait un peu trop chaud en journée mais pour le matin et surtout le soir c'est super. J'ai apprécié de pouvoir fermer les volets permettant d'isoler le chalet (chaleur la journée, fraîcheur la nuit!). La proximité avec la piscine est vraiment pratique et on est pas beaucoup dérangé par le bruit. L'eau est plutôt chaude et il fait bon. Literie correcte, frigo/congel assez grand. Le bemol est le wifi et la 4G. On ne captait pas bien! La propriétaire est très sympa et réactive. Je recommande vivement.

Fijn en schoon huisje middenin D-day omgeving

Het was een fijne vakantiebestemming om alle historische gebeurtenissen omtrent D-day te bezichtigen en te ervaren. Het huisje was heel erg schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Wel wat gehorig. Voor de kinderen was er een binnenzwembad naast het huis. Verder was er voor hen op de camping weinig te beleving. WiFi doet het sporadisch en internet is in de hele omgeving traag. Maar Grandcamp Maisy heeft veel moois in de omgeving te bieden.

Séjour à Grandcamp Maisy

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. nous avons pu voir de près les vestiges du débarquement ainsi que les beaux endroits de la région. Cela nous ramène une réalité historique qui nous impose le respect et l'humilité. Je suis convaincu que chaque français devrait venir ici pour voir et se rendre compte de oû nous revenons et à qui nous devons notre liberté. Merci à Julie pour son accueil et les échanges que nous avons pu partager.

Great location and amenities

Stayed 4 nights with son-in-law and grandson to tour all the D-Day Beaches and Museums. Chalet was in perfect location being between Utah and Omaha Beaches. Bedrooms were ideal (One double, one twin) and the beds were really comfortable. Shower was excellent and kitchen had everything we needed. Outside charcoal barbecue was superb and we used it every night as we did the heated swimming pool that was next to the chalet. The owners were very helpful and welcoming. The only thing which wasn’t the best was the wifi as it would only let one user and regularly dropped out, however that is beyond the chalet owners control as it is a site issue. We got all our provisions at a supermarket within a couple of minutes drive and the site was very secure with security gates. I would highly recommend the Chalet as a perfect base for exploring the Normandy area.

Confortable et agréable

Chalet bien situé pour visiter la région, les plages du débarquement, et profiter des belles plages de la Manche. Chalet bien équipé, vélos, lave-linge....piscine dans le camps, calme.

Une Belle semaine de vacances !

Tout pour passer un agréable moment en famille : un bungalow propre et bien entretenu, la proximité du marché et du centre ville, une région époustouflante avec des visites chargées d histoire autour des belles plages du débarquement …. où il fait bon se baigner aussi. Das Chalet bietet alles Nötige, was man für einen entspannten Urlaub braucht.

Die Lage des Chalets ist sehr günstig - viele Dinge können ohne Auto unternommen werden. Der Fischmarkt im Dorf ist ein Zusatzbonus für alle Fischliebhaber. Frau Golon, die Besitzerin, sehr sympathisch und unkompliziert. Kurz gefasst: absolut empfehlenswert!

Séjour idéal pour les plages du débarquement

Merveilleux accueil de Mme Gonon dans ce chalet agréable, et idéalement situé à la fois dans le PRL, et les plages du débarquement. Toute la famille a aimé, et profité à fond de ce séjour. Loin d’avoir tout fait, nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir.
