1 key, no intercom, 70 stairs
The apartment is small but perfectly workable for a couple and in a safe, convenient and quiet compound on the edge of Old Nice. There is a lift to the apartment but, via the most accessible entrance to the compound, over 70 stairs to get to the lift. And many more stairs if you take the exit from the compound that lands you directly into Old Nice.
Our only issue was the lack of a second set of keys into the apartment with no working intercom to let each other in via the three locked security gates. That means over 70 steps, each way, to let each other in. A bothersome inconvenience for a healthy person and a more serious issue for anyone with mobility troubles.
Our agent was lovely and helpful and quick to respond. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the little balcony overlooking the courtyard.
