We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was clean and comfortable. The surrounding property had hiking trails that led down to a peaceful little pond and sitting area. Close to Max Patch and the 209 which makes easy access to other hiking trails. We will be back again!

Property is perfect for a long weekend getaway with your spouse/partner and a four legged friend. Nice and quiet! It's a bummer that the hot tub was not heating properly. That's the only reason for the 4 stars rating. Other than that, it's a great stay!

We are so sorry that the hot tub wasn't working! I totally understand that can put a damper on your plans. We are having it serviced now, sadly this time of year lots of people are having them serviced so the wait time is extra long. I wish we cold have fixed it sooner for you. Please come back and see us and I would be glad to give you a 20% discount for your troubles. Have a wonderful spring! See you soon.

This is everything and more!!!

Couldn't have been more happy with our stay. We have frequented many cabins in the past and this one goes above and beyond any expectations from our experiences. We will be regulars to this property, for sure! Not to mention the owners were extremely nice and ready available for any help or questions. We need more host like these around and more properties like this available. 10 out of 5 stars for sure!!!

Little Charming Gem in Hill Country

The location is awesome; so close to the bluest water around with so many tame deer and other wildlife! House is set up perfect for a big family gathering with kids. Pool and spa need a little work but owner just purchased and has some maintenance to catch up on. Owner and property manager were very responsive and attentive to needs.

Weekend getaway

Husband and I had a great time. The cabin is quaint, semi off the grid and so quiet. It was nice with no one around needing you every few minutes lol Cabin is clean and well stocked with everything you need. Comfy bed and cozy living space. The property is beautiful! Definitely a crazy drive to get there but we had fun. I am so glad we found this place and hope to visit again. Thank you Leah and Wes!

Hot Springs Hideaway!!

Beautiful property once you get up the mountain!! Great for my wife and I, very cozy. Jacuzzi was perfect after a day hiking on the AT. We had 4 wheel drive which was no problem even after the light snow the night before our arrival. My daughter came by to visit and made it up in a front wheel drive Honda. It is steep but the drive is ion great shape!

Worth the trip.

Property is listed as WiFi but does not have WiFi. You gain it by walking up a driveway to a sister property. Also the bed sheets were not changed but luckily a spare set was and we changed them out. Other than those two points it’s an average 3star stay.

Fairy Tale

This property was so beautiful! I felt like I was in a fairy tale. The cabin was exceptionally clean and well stocked. There were hiking paths and a pond to play in for outdoor activities. My favorite part though, was just sitting on the back porch and absorbing the quiet. We can't wait to come back!!

Lovely Property

We had a wonderful time. We rented Fox Den and Fawn Hideaway for a family vacation. Caught fish, kayaked and swam in the spring fed pond, enjoyed the fire pit and overall peacefulness of the property. We had cell service on one section of the patio so be aware of that as noted in the information. Thank you for the hospitality!

Secluded Summer Camp

Had a great stay at this cabin. The kids loved the pond, kayaks, fishing, and archery. It was the perfect location for what we had planned. Owner's description on the driveway is accurate, you will need 4x4 to get up it (especially if it rains). In addition to no wifi in the cabin itself (as described), we also had no cell phone service for miles. Just be prepared to be off grid while staying there. Not necessarily a bad thing...

We're always happy when a guest reports having a great stay! For Fox Den guests who don't have all-wheel drive, there is a flat parking area at the Guest Shed (if you don't mind walking up the hill). Cell service typically only works for Verizon or US Cellular, but the regular phone in the Guest Shed is available in case of an emergency. WIFI, for those who need it occasionally, is available on the property near Fern Rock Lodge and nearby at Dave's 209, a local restaurant.

We’ve put a lot of care into maintaining Fern Rock as a place where guests can slow down, enjoy the outdoors, and spend quality time together. We’re available if anything comes up and want your stay to feel easy and comfortable from start to finish.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

Fern Rock stands out for its rare combination of privacy, space, and access to the natural beauty of the mountains. Set on 16 wooded acres, it offers a level of seclusion that’s hard to find, while still being within driving distance of Hot Springs and the surrounding trails.

What makes this area special is how immersive it feels. You’re surrounded by forest, mountain views, and the sounds of nature, with space to explore right on the property, including walking trails and a spring-fed pond.

At the same time, you’re close enough to enjoy the winding drive along Highway 209 (The Rattler) and everything the Hot Springs area has to offer, from hiking to exploring the local town.

It’s a place that makes it easy to slow down, spend time outdoors, and enjoy being together without distractions.

この宿泊施設の特徴

The smell of fresh pine, views of mountain ranges older than the Rockies, and a sky full of stars set the tone—but what truly makes Fern Rock unique is the space and privacy it offers.

Set on 16 private acres with a full lodge and separate treetop porch, the property gives your group room to spread out, explore, and enjoy time together in a way that’s hard to find.

From walking trails and a spring-fed pond to multiple outdoor gathering spaces, it’s a setting that feels both expansive and connected to nature.
