The condo is ideally located right across the street from The Hyatt and the lake. We ended up renting a room at The Hyatt during our mid-July vacation so we could use its pool, gym, and have beach access. Our party of 5 adults however all slept at the condo so we could be together.
The condo is nicely decorated with newer furniture and equipped with a good-sized deck with a table, chairs, and umbrella where we enjoyed most of our meals. The propane BBQ worked great, and the kitchen has everything you need. The parking situation is good. There are two levels of stairs to climb up to the kitchen from the parking lot. The garbage bin is down on the parking lot. The gas fireplace looked great, but we had no need for it. I imagine that during the winter, the fireplace would be a nice thing to use.
A couple of things to pay attention to:
--Plan ahead for sleeping arrangements if you require more than two full sized beds. One of the rooms has small bunkbeds and a smaller fold out bed setup for youngsters and not adults. The beds are too short for most adults to sleep in. The other beds are queen sized and very comfortable.
--The condo doesn't have AC and was 95 degrees upstairs when we got there. The owner provides multiple fans which are adequate for the bedrooms at night but don't do much for the upper floor where the kitchen and great room are located. One of the fans didn't work so we moved the fans around the unit during our stay to mitigate the heat.
--There is no ice maker so plan on making a few ice runs to fill coolers for the beach. There are a few cracked ice trays in the freezer which was just enough for nightly cocktails. The ice trays need to be replaced.
All in all, this condo is a great setup if you have kids in particular due to the bedding situation. You can't beat the location especially if you are like me, and don't like to use the car much on vacation. If you are using public beaches, make sure to bring your beach chairs, towels, and umbrella to Tahoe with you.
