Enjoy a spacious four bed / two split bath historic home in Ocean Grove, NJ. Take a scenic and quick 4 block walk to the beach! Stroll along tree-lined streets and admire the historic Victorian homes along the way! Easy boardwalk access at end of street. Boardwalk will take you straight to Asbury Park - enjoy festivals, eclectic dining and antiquing. Or walk the opposite direction to Bradley Beach.

After the beach rinse off and walk a couple of blocks to Main Ave for ice cream, sidewalk dining and one of a kind shops for beach gear and souvenirs.

Enjoy a Bohemian decor in a historic, clean, bright and sunny home. Original refinished hardwood floors - original transom door frames and 1900s hardware throughout the home. Each room has it's own character! Corner lot provides ample parking close to the house. Nice cross breezes when windows are opened. Relax on porch in rocking chairs - open windows and enjoy the Ocean Breezes. Barbecue in the back area or people watch from side sitting area or side yard.

Neighborhood nicknamed "Little Bohemia". You will know why once you stay! You will enjoy very friendly neighbors and beautiful flowers as you walk the neighborhood.

Perfect for family / adult (35+) beach getaways - remote working - de-stressing! Upgraded WiFi included.

Bedrooms (Quality Bedding and Linens):
- Bed#1 - Calming and relaxing Queen Bed with Powder Room (shower few steps outside bedroom) (1st Floor)
- Bed #2 - Beautiful Tropical Room with Bunk Beds and Queen Bed (2nd floor)
- Bed #3 - Bright comfortable room w/full size bed (2nd floor)
- Bed#4 - Main bedroom large with attached sun-room / office. Has split King adjustable beds and an office and TV room with Full Size Futon for sleeping or watching TV (2nd floor)

Bathrooms:
1st floor - Split bath - powder room in bedroom, shower steps outside the bedroom for guests and after beach use (located in laundry). Hair dryer, towels, cloths, shower gel, shampoo/conditioner provided.
2nd floor - Full bath - shower / claw-foot tub combo. Shower gel, soaking salts, shampoo/conditioner, towels, cloths provided.

Common areas:
- Enclosed porch - open ALL the windows for amazing breezes.
- Back patio - Small area for grilling (charcoal provided), rinse off after the beach and / or evening relaxation and conversation. Note: Guests are responsible for cleaning grill.
- Living / Dining - large bright open space - open windows for nice breezes, 55" TV, huge dining room table
- Kitchen - service for 8, pots, pans, waffle-maker, K-pod /drip combo coffeemaker and toaster

This was such a clean and spacious, charming home just a few blocks to everything. Original home details with modern updates. It was so nice to not have to pack beach chairs, wagons, umbrellas and towels because they were provided!The owner was very prompt in responding and helpful. Will stay again!

Nostalgic beach trip

Perfect location: 4 blocks from beach, 2 blocks from Main Street shops. Spacious home with ecclectic antique style; lots of delightful personal touches. Limited outdoor space but so close to beach, boardwalk and Ocean Grove landmarks. Walking distance (15-20 minutes) to Asbury restaurants and concert venues. Chelsea was an attentive and very communicative host.

Best Christmas Vacation!

This historic home was perfect for our group of 5 adults and 1teen visiting from North Carolina and upstate New York. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was well stocked as we cooked or had catered food brought in. Sharing the boardwalk and neighborhood with the friendly locals during the Christmas season is the way to go! Thanks for a great stay

Perfect location in beautiful Ocean Grove. Everything was as advertised..well stocked kitchen, comfy furniture and the beds were great! Close to beach, easy walks to Asbury. And I have never met friendlier neighbors on a vacation! Our host was very responsive, even though I probably drove her crazy…

Pros and Cons, overall positive

Pros and Cons, but mostly positive.Pros: Owner was very responsive and very helpful. Was available throughout our stay and walked us through some little glitches. Beautiful house, large, SPOTLESS, in great neighborhood within walking distance to everything. Bedrooms were big and beds very comfortable. Kitchen was great, with all the essentials. Again, so clean.... We were there before Memorial day, so there was lots of parking. Not sure about parking in the summer. Cons: Owner had us sign a Contract with names and addresses of everyone who was staying in the house. I hadn't seen that before. Also, said that you had to be 34 to rent the property? That seemed odd....there were some issues about who controlled the heat and a/c. I feel that the renters should have full control of their own heat and A/C, but in the Contract, it said the owner would remotely control those systems. There is no open porch on this house, as most houses in OG have. The "porch" is enclosed, there's awnings and trees, so not really a great place to sit (at least for us). But, the owner never said otherwise, so that was on us. the "backyard" however, was TINY. There were 2 0r 3 chairs back there next to a large utility tent. It was very claustrophobic, right up against the house next door, and not very pleasant, so we didn't hang out there. So, for us, there was no good outside space. But, then again, the whole of OG is your outside space, so.....there is that. So, overall, 4 stars...(::

Thank you - yes we do work hard to ensure the property is cleaned and fully stocked! We only ask for the names of your adult guests and not addresses. Sometimes people run the AC or Heat with doors and windows open and results in increased costs - so we try to conserve energy by setting standard temps and allow adjustments to suit our guests. We love hosting families and welcome adults of a certain age to ensure things remain peaceful. The pics available on the listing are accurate and shows the patio space as is currently and the enclosed front porch. Not sure why there were different expectations. However, there is seating outdoors on one side of the house with comfy chairs to people watch and enjoy flowers and coming this summer the spacious side yard will have additional seating for relaxing outdoors! All in all - I am glad you were able to enjoy your stay!

Big comfy house near the beach

We had such a lovely end of summer week staying here. The house is spacious and clean in a lovely neighborhood close to the beach. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed meals together in the large dining area.The owner was responsive to any/all of our questions. We were a large group and yet there was plenty of room for privacy and my husband was even able to work in the extra room. I highly recommend staying here.

Great stay for short girls weekend

Fantastic location - parked car once and walked everywhere - and comfortable home for a beachy girls weekend! We spent most of our visit outside the home, which was nicely appointed. We appreciated the 4 beach tags and beach chairs that were provided. Owner communication was wonderful. Would stay here again and recommend it to others!

A Writers' Paradise

Many writers are encouraged to go on Writer Conferences, but if you have been working on a manuscript for a good period of time -- there is not better move than to go on a Mini-Writer Retreat! Chelsea's home is perfect for this endeavor. If you don't like to go on a solo retreat ( I don't as it ensures I will procrastinate!) take a fellow writer which is what I did. Even if you take one family member, there is plenty of rooms to work from -- including a room with a sun-splashed setee to read your re-worked chapters! The house also has the most wonderful dining room table which I quickly converted to a work table. If your aim is to sit down and work as long as you can, this is the place for you. I did go to the beach (Less than two blocks down) for the sunrise, but returned promptly to the house. Superclean kitchen with a gourment stove if you want to take a cooking break. However, The TWISTED TREE Cafe is ten minutes away in Asbury Park and has the most amazing vegan food you will ever taste. Finally, Chelsea was available for questions and very accomodating. If you have a huge family, the bedrooms are ample -- with one sporting a bunk-bed set. We had a great time, and will definitely return!

A home with a heart!

What a lovely stay we had in this, "home with a heart"! We could tell the minute that we walked in that it had recently been renovated... Fresh new everything! Such a good energy. Lot's of space to relax, and lovely ocean breezes on the screened in porch. All of the new mattresses, towels, linens, and blankets were very "cozy" and appreciated! Such a charming neighborhood as well. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!!!

Great Shore home!

We had a wonderful time at Chelsea's Ocean Grove home. The house and rooms were plenty big with enough beds for our group. She left out more than enough towels for our group to use at the beach and for showers. The beds were quite comfortable, as well. We would definitely stay here again!
