We decided at the last minute to stay in the area for the weekend and were fortunate to find this cabin was available. It has everything you need for a relaxing weekend, or longer, just bring your own shampoo and soap. We dined at Chateaux Morrisette one night and ordered take out from Papa’s the next night. Good thing the host provides a land line since my cell phone couldn’t seem to connect. The WiFi works great, though. Don’t miss visiting Nancy’s Candy around the corner. You can see them making candy Monday through Thursday. It was fun to walk around Mabry Mill and learn the history of the mill. The cabin was cozy and it was a lovely break from daily life. We loved exploring the area and will likely be back!

This is a nice rustic cabin, we enjoyed sitting on the porch and walking the property, Pretty much everything we needed was provided at the cabin. Our stay was nice, a few things that would have put it over the top for us ……. New beds, sadly the beds were very uncomfortable and noisy, so sleeping well was an issue for us. It is a bit of a walk from where you park to the cabin, we agree with others a little wagon or cart would be nice to put your things in to go back and forth.

We appreciate the feed back and are pleased to report that we have updated the cabin with new mattresses, new towels and sheets, among other things. The lit, flat and straight pathway from parking to the front door is 24 yards offerIng easy access to the cabin.

The cabin was nice. It was a little hard figuring which lock box to use, and seeing the numbers to get the keys.

We had to contact vrbo because we were having a hard time accessing the location. It wasn't very clear as to which of the lockboxes we were to use. Overall, the facilities were very good. Although we could have used soap in the shower and the couch was not very comfortable, overall was very good. We appreciated the stay.

Beautiful cabin off the beaten path.

Beautiful, and relaxing home. Located close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, within driving range of many local scenic areas. Wineries, and fun day drives. Close to the town of Floyd, and Stuart. Pro tip, check out the nearby Stiles Falls, in Shawsville. Only let down was the cabin did not have a direct water view of the Dan River. Bring your K cups, it has a machine, but no pods.

Great Place, quiet and serene....

The cabin is very nice, clean and beautiful location. Inside was very nice. It is a bit of a walk with luggage from the parking area to the cabin. Perhaps the owner could invest in a cart of some sort to help with this, especially for older clients.
