We found the check in super smooth and appreciated being able to bring our senior dog with us. Gia and Bean were super helpful and kind. The place is very cozy and such a quick walk to the beach. Cannot wait to visit again.

Wonderful beach trip. The house was perfect and the location was unbeatable. Close to the beach and great for our dogs. Everything was as described and Giovanna and Bean were amazing hosts! We will definitely stay here again

We had a great time at our first Vrbo experience. The home was very close to the beach in a peaceful section of cherry grove. Would go back again.

We had a great vacation! We loved that it was pet friendly so we could have our dogs on vacation with us. The location was fantastic! Very short walk to the beach. We walked right out to the beach to watch the fireworks at the pier on July 4th and didn’t have to get in all the traffic and we were within walking distance to Boulineau’s and ice cream! Gia was a great host and Bean was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again!

A Perfect beach house feel

We were looking for a place to take my elderly parents for a long needed beach trip and this house was a perfect fit and as an added bonus we were able to bring along our two schnauzers for their first trip to the beach it was all we hoped it would be

Great little place with 2 min walk to beach

The location can't be beat. The house was clean and everything you'd want in a rental! We cooked every night we were there and the kitchen was small but met all our needs. Oh and Bean was friendly and very helpful!

Communication between the homeowner was great no issues there. The AC unit in the master bedroom quit working they were quick to replace it. The unit is moldy and damp. Ants and other types of insects were pretty bad! Getting a dehumidifier for the moisture and dampness could be extremely beneficial. Probably more than regular extermination for bugs would be extremely beneficial.

When you notified us that the master bedroom window A/C unit was not cooling properly, we had a brand-new unit installed within 24 hours to ensure your comfort. We also spoke directly with your husband after the replacement, and he confirmed there were no concerns regarding insects at that time. We take great pride in maintaining our home and have never had any mold issues. During your stay, the area was experiencing extremely high humidity, which can make a beach property feel damp despite the air conditioning working properly. We continuously maintain the home and address any concerns promptly. Regarding insects, our home is professionally maintained, and we have not experienced recurring pest issues. In coastal environments, occasional insects can appear, particularly during periods of excessive heat and humidity, but we have not received similar reports from other guests. Although your reservation included a pet that had not been added at booking, we chose to waive the pet fee due to the inconvenience caused by the A/C issue and still left a positive review because we strive to treat our guests fairly. We remain committed to providing a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained home, and we appreciate all feedback that helps us continue to improve.

Wonderful host and stay!

This was a wonderful property for our beach vacation. Everything was clean and as shown in the pictures. The house is steps away from the beach. The host was wonderful and answered all of my questions quickly. This was a perfect location and I will definitely be back to stay again!

Perfect Beach House

The house is great, the owners are great, and the location is even greater! The house is cozy, clean, and has everything you need to feel at home. It’s literally across the street from the beach. It’s perfect!

Exceeded Expectations

Our big goofy dog, less goofy 10-year-old daughter, and her not-goofy-at-all grandmother all loved the property. My wife and I took advantage of the little bar outside and the screened porch off the master bedroom and grandma read on the porch off her room. The beach was very close, as were the nearby restaurants and grocery, which we walked to for lunch. We hope to return for another stay soon!

A home away from home

This place had everything we needed to be comfortable and spend quality time with our family. We had ease of access being on the ground floor (which also stayed cooler in the heat), no issues with parking, and we were within walking distance of the beach. Given all the places we have stayed over the years, I was impressed by their attention to detail and how well equipped it was — sand toys for the kiddo included. You have all the appliances and tools you need to prepare meals, do laundry if needed, etc. Thank you, Gia and family, for being such hospitable hosts!

Great cozy beach house

Arrived no problems getting in. Property was clean and everything as described. We enjoyed the location. Easy walk to the beach. Easy walk to Boulineau's Foods for groceries and convenient to many of our favorite restaurants. Convenient to some of the golf courses my husband likes.The house was comfortable and perfect for us. The outdoor dry bar, grilling area & tables were grreat. Made good use of them.Awesome, that we could bring our furbabies with us to enjoy the beach.Looking forward to our next trip there.PS: My husband thinks Bean is cool!!! ea

Cute property; like the easy access to the beach. Tenants next door ( to the right when facing the road) were very loud partying until after 11 pm for two nights. Found one cockroach in the kitchen A few cups and bowls are chipped and need to be replaced. Noises from the steps of upstair tenants could be disturbing at times. Suggest to throw away rusty beach chairs and bikes to make the property look less rundown.

Hi Amy thanks for letting me know about the chipped glasses and bowls I will replace immediately We have a monthly schedule with pest control but once in a while you will find a random palmetto bug down here in the south. They usually stay outside but come in randomly on a rainy day. As for the rust on the chairs, the salt water does create rust almost immediately on chairs and bikes anything left outside and not rinsed off but we do try and replace every year. Thanks for your feedback Very sorry for the noises, here in north myrtle you can absolutely call the police and have them go to any home that may be too loud after 10pm.

The perfect location!

We loved our time at Meader on Down! The description is correct that you are a very short walking distance to the beach, plenty manageable for your gear and cooler for a full day in the sand. We also enjoyed being able to walk a few minutes to the bar at the pier for an afternoon margarita or ride our bikes less than 5 minutes to Boulineau's for a few groceries, or even better, for Happy Hour at Snooky's. We also loved returning to the house after a day on the beach and sitting at the tiki bar downstairs while we cooked on the Weber grill. Inside stayed cool and cozy and provided plenty of room for our family of four and our small dog. The property manager is extremely friendly but you'd barely know he's there. We enjoyed getting to know our neighbors and absolutely hated to leave! Thank you for a wonderful home base for our perfect beach week!

Amazing stay!

We loved this property! The decor is outstanding and we loved the screened in porch. Our furry friends loved it as well. The outdoor area was wonderful and if you forget anything, they have it! Everything we needed was there and any issues we had were resolved immediately. We enjoyed the host's dad who lives behind the property. He was very gracious and helpful. We truly can't say enough about how gracious Gia and her family are. Any time we return to North Myrtle, this will be the ONLY place we book! Nice new appliances, soft linens and pillows, all kitchen bakeware, cookware, etc, great water pressure, nice separate laundry area, comfortable beds and it was super clean! This is a great rental for people with dogs, families or a week with friends!

Awesome Rental! BEST dog-friendly rental ever!

The cottage is adorable. Very clean and equipped with All The little touches needed for a vacation. Outside “hangout” area is perfect. 4 houses from beach…love it! Close to restaurants and shops. So perfect for our dogs.

Highly recommend

If your looking for a great place to stay that allows dogs look no further. Seriously, I’m not just saying that - stop looking this is your place! The place is nestled on a dead end road so you don’t have car traffic. The dead end road provides a nice little nook. Has easy access -literally steps away from beach. Bean stays in the rear of the property and is basically a on-site property manager & tour guide. If you would happen to have any issues you can talk directly to him (which we didn’t!). He does a nice job of staying out of your way while being extremely friendly & helpful. Everything has been remodeled and they installed a new mini-split air conditioner/heater unit which makes it very comfortable. The beds were comfortable. Nice screened in porch and sitting area outside to enjoy your coffee or Margarita. We are still talking about how much we loved the place. We’ll definitely be returning to the exact spot again. Very nice get away for our family & 2 labs

Convenient and cozy location for beach vacation.

We were able to take our dog with is for a beach trip. Just 200 steps from the beach made it convenient for access to the beach anytime. The house is tucked just off Ocean Blvd near the Cherry Grove pier and is quiet, cozy and private. We were within walking distance to great food and Boulineaus Food Plus has a great bakery and is good for staples or anything you forgot to pack.
