We just finished out renovation and this may be our best one yet!.

Recently updated! Stylish & spacious 2 bedroom raised beach-house just steps from the beach.

We also own 2 units next door, you can see those unit at VRBO #1160468 or #1440158.

Enjoy the beach life like a local on one of the 2 decks. Sip your morning coffee on the front deck while you watch the sun rise over Surfside beach. In the evening, enjoy a glass of wine while you bbq your favorite meal on the back deck and watch the sunset. Island House is also just a short (2 block) walk to Surfside Drive where you'll find restaurants, bars, a fishing pier, a scenic park, a dog park, and even a library. We've tried to think of everything you might need -- before you even know you need it, like new Tempur-pedic mattresses, 1500 thread count linens, free super-fast Wifi, & USB charging ports throughout the house When you arrive, you can park right underneath your home-away-from-home. There's space for 2 cars in front and additional parking in back if needed. As you walk into your beach retreat you'll find an updated kitchen with quartz counter tops and backsplash. It's fully stocked and ready for your stay. Also on the 1st floor there's a comfortable living area, dining area, a half bathroom, and a washer and dryer. The dining area seats 4 around the table plus 2 more seats at the kitchen peninsula. There is also a plush seating area on the front deck which seats 4/5. The living room has a full sleeper sofa and plenty of additional seating as well as streaming TV with hundreds of channels and WiFi. There are two decks for lounging. The front deck is covered and is a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee. The back deck is open, overlooks the pool and contains a gas grill for all your bbq needs. Right behind the back deck is a fenced in yard with a pool. The pool is shared by only 4 units of the Island House so you never have to worry about crowds. The two bedrooms are located upstairs, one on either end with a hallway and bathroom in between. Each bedroom contains a queen bed with super comfortable memory foam mattresses, a dresser, & closets. We've also put several USB charging stations throughout the house. It's just a 60 second walk to beautiful Surfside Beach. Check the storage shed in the carport for beach chairs, boogie boards and other beach gear. Want even more of the "local" experience? We have a 4 person electric golf cart available to rent.

Located on Dogwood Dr. right off of 3rd Ave North, 1 1/2 blocks from the Beach and 2 1/2 blocks from Surfside Drive (restaurants, bar, & pier).

Fabulous townhouse within walking distance of beach, restaurants and dog park!

Great place to stay for our family and pup! So much to do within walking distance. Pet-friendly unit. Would stay again!

Great place to stay

We loved the location, close to many surfside favorites, and area attractions. The townhome was in immaculate shape, great creature comforts and ease in check in and communication. We will def stay here again if we are in the area. Great weekend stay.

Retirement vacation

Property is perfect location and Robert and his wife were wonderful. Property is nicely decorated and they have everything there you need to stay. Other than buying food and your paper products, they have everything else. Highly recommend

Surfside Beach Feb 2023

The property was just as expected from listing on VRBO. Location was perfect as was the property. This was our second visit to Surfside Beach and we really love the sense of community there. Looking forward to our next visit and will certainly plan to stay at Island House again. Thanks.

Top notch rental in great location!

The property was wonderfully maintained. It was clean, it was updated and modern, comfortable and cozy. The location was great! Walking distance to the beach access and local restaurants. The owners were good communicators online and also had helpful information at the rental. There were many thoughtful touches throughout…they really thought of everything to make you comfortable and feel at home…even our fur baby that we took along! We would most definitely stay at this property again!

We had a wonderful time at the Island House! The house was super clean when we arrived and was equipped with pretty much everything we needed. The host Bob was fantastic! Any questions I had he was very prompt to answer! The location of the house you cant beat! It is literally right around the corner from the beach! We used the golf cart for the week and it is definitely worth it! One minor thing however was that the shared pool closes at 8pm each night. It would have been nice to be able to come back from dinner and swim a little bit. But other than that everything was fantastic and we could not have asked for a better place to stay! Highly recommend!

Great beach house

This was a much needed vacation. The house was beautiful, very clean and within walking distance to the beach. Close to restaurants yet away from the noise. Bob and Melissa thought about everything you could need so you don’t even have to bring a book to read! We decided to rent the golf cart after we arrived and Bob gave us a discount because we had already missed a day. When we go back to Surfside Beach we’ll definitely try to book the Island House again!!!

Fall Friends Vacation

Island House was the perfect stay for our friend group. The house was perfect for us. Everything was clean and as shown in the listing. The location was perfect. Close to the beach and walking distance to everything we needed. The golf cart addition was a great option for us as well. We enjoyed our daily rides through the neighborhood and to the beach. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns that popped up during our stay. Thank you for an awesome place to enjoy our vacation!!

Johnson Vacation

If we could sum up the accommodations in one word, the word that immediately comes to mind is immaculate. There is nothing the hosts have not thought of to make your stay as comfortable as your own home. We have vacationed at Surfside many times and this is BY FAR the cleanest condo we have ever stayed in and the hosts are even more top notch. Check in/out was seamless, but the care they have taken to make sure you have everything at your fingertips to have the most relaxing and joyful vacation exceeds all expectations. We spent our last evening planning our next trip back. 10/10 highly recommend!

Great pet friendly 2BR close to beach.

This clean and comfortable 2 BR townhouse is literally a 3 minute walk to the beach. The home was clean and as advertised in VRBO. The home had starter supplies of dish soap, laundry detergent and paper towels. The linens were fresh and clean. All towels supplied as well as a basket of towels for your dog. We rented the golf cart which was a lot of fun. The house has everything you need for a relaxing beach vacation. Owner was great to communicate with. He lives close and is around from time to time keeping the 3 units he owns in tip top shape. We will be back !!!

Great stay at a great location!

My wife and I stayed at the Island House D for the month of March 2023. We had a great time in Surfside beach. The property was super clean and the kitchen was well stocked. There were nice sheets, blankets and towels. The books and games were a nice addition. The queen size beds were comfortable (though we wish one was a king😆). We would like to have used the pool in the back yard but it was closed for the month. We loved the short walk to the beach and ample neighborhoods for walking and biking. There’s a lot of great restaurants in the area but one of our favorite was right down the street: the gracious pig (amazing smoked wings and turkey). We also liked Benjamin’s Bakery for bagels and baked goods. Communication with the owner was easy. We really appreciate that it was pet friendly and we would definitely stay here again.

Great stay overall

Property was very nice for our stay. Nice furniture and beds and decorated beautifully. Property was one of the most well-appointed that I’ve ever stayed in, and I travel a lot. We cooked often, and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. Also, the owner included many thoughtful amenities. Loved all the little stickers indicating where things were stored, etc. We did have a problem with the TV volume turning up and down by itself, and the light/fan combo in the smaller bedroom is malfunctioning. The overhead light came on randomly in the middle of the night every night we were there. Also, the thermostat is policed so that it can only be lowered a certain amount, and we were very hot at night. Overall, though, we had a great stay!

Great townhouse in a quiet neighborhood by the beach

We enjoyed our stay in this townhouse. One of the best aspects was that it was right in the edge of where vacation rentals are allowed, so ot was mostly residential and quiet. We traveled with our dog. There is a dog park a few block away. I enjoyed talking with the local neighbors every morning. The park also has a tuesday farmers market we really enjoyed. The rental was clean and just as it is pictured. The instructions were clear. We had everything we needed for a week stay. The balcony feels reasonably private. This is an end unit, and has a tree near it. There are 4 units connected together. Walking to the beach was not challenging but we did rent the golf cart to make transporting chairs and an umbrella easier. The owners were friendly and helpful and provided prompt communication.

Best stay ever!!

This was our first vacation in 3 years and after a very long and stressful summer we were so ready to relax. This condo was nothing but perfect for our family if 3, the size was just right and it had everything you could need. The neighborhood was absolutely beautiful, my 10 year old son and I run and we ran in the mornings and it was perfect and a 60 second walk from the beach. We really couldn’t have asked for anything more cause it was truly perfect.

We love the family atmosphere of Surfside beach! It's a fantastic white sand beach without all the high-rise "condo-tels" (and crowds) of the commercial sections just a few miles north. We purchased Island House because of all the properties we looked at, Island House just had a unique feel and vibe that we didn't find anywhere else in Surfside.
