The epitome of Southern California indoor/outdoor living. La Jolla Shores compound on rare 1/2 acre. Super private backyard featuring a pool and hot tub, outdoor fire pit, infrared BBQ and custom barrel cedar sauna.

Chef's kitchen with high end appliances; Sub Zero refrigerator, double Fisher Paykel dishwashers, double ovens, and Caesarstone counters. HDTVs with subscription apps (Disney+, Netflix, Hulu, and HBO Max), premium cable and WIFI. Fireplaces in Living and Family Room, Large Primary Suite with private en-suite bathroom and adjoining outdoor garden and shower.

This property has been featured in Dwell Magazine's home tour. The resort like compound features expansive patios and quintessential California resort style living. The home features 5 sleeping rooms: 3 full bedrooms, plus two additional sleeping areas in a private loft addition. Separate wing with private office/nanny suite, ideal for multi generational families.

The home is equipped with several exterior security cameras and a doorbell exterior camera used for security monitoring purposes.

*PLEASE READ ALL RULES AND EXPECTATIONS PRIOR TO BOOKING**
While our #1 priority is ensuring that our valued guests enjoy their stay with us, we also have an equally as important commitment to our neighbors and our community. Below are the house rules that we must enforce. Please read them prior to confirming your reservation.

1. Quiet hours are between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am. Violators of the quiet hours will forfeit their deposit and be asked to leave with no refund for the remaining days of the rental. This is not a party home.

2. Check-in time is any time after 3 pm. Check-out time is any time before 10 am. You're welcome to request an early check-in or late checkout, but this is not guaranteed and we can only confirm 24 hours in advance.

3. No glass is permitted on the pool deck or in the jacuzzi.

4. We do not allow smoking of any kind inside the home.

5. Parties or excessive noise are not allowed. Please be respectful of our neighbors and observe quiet hours from 10 PM-8 AM. Violations after our initial warning may result in your removal from the property.

6. Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises. Guests recognize that they may personally purchase insurance to protect themselves in such events.

7. Our pool does not have a child's safety fence directly surrounding the perimeter of the pool. Please be advised of this safety concern when booking the property. The home is an indoor/outdoor space, with many doors directly opening onto the backyard pool area. All individuals on the premises/pool, assume full liability for any injuries, damages or losses that may occur.

8. Optional pool heating service available for $75/day. Please inquire about heating the pool prior to your stay as it can take up to 3 days for the pool to be fully heated in the Winter months. There is a 3 day minimum for pool heat. This extra payment will be charged as an extra service through VRBO.

9. When you make a reservation with us, you are agreeing to all of the above House Rules.

The host and house are truly outstanding! My family includes some serious hotel snobs, so we usually end up booking 5 or 6 super expensive rooms when we get together. I convinced them to give renting a house a chance, and this property (and the truly lovely host) exceeded everyone's expectations! It is so well appointed in every way. And somehow manages to be both cozy and elegant at the same time. We had an amazing visit, and that is including the fact that we had to stay inside a ton due to a major storm. We will 100% book again for our next San Diego gathering! We can't wait to come back!

Awesome beautiful place. Close to the beautiful beach. Everything as good if not better than advertised. It was a family reunion/70th birthday celebration and a great time was had by all. Very convenient to airport as well. Host was very responsive. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful property! Pool, hot tub and sauna were great to have for both adults and teens. The home was close to plenty of coffee shops and eateries and the beach was a quick walk away. Every detail was well thought out. A cheese board and baguette were waiting for us upon arrival. A nice touch since it was my birthday. We enjoyed the s’mores kit as well! Overall it was beautiful, relaxing place to spend time with family and friends!

Excellent stay, exceeded our expectations!

The property is stunning and the hosts included more amenities then we could have even thought to ask for. We enjoyed everything at the house as well as many of the hosts local recommendations. Truly a gem all around!

Beautiful home

Had a get together with my family, it was the perfect home with lots of space. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was stocked well with appliances for cooking. The host was great with communication, would definetly rent this home again.

Incredible Vacation!

Everything was perfect! The house is amazing - beautiful architecture, interesting nooks and lots of fun places to gather. The kitchen is perfectly stocked with everything we needed as well as new appliances. It is just minutes from the beach and a cute street of shops. Perfect for a stroll to lunch. Owners are super kind, communicative and helpful. Can’t say enough wonderful things!

Loved it!

The house was perfect for our family get together. The house looks stunning from the photos online, but amazingly, it is even better in person. And the location can’t be beat - everything (the beach, restaurants and stores) are just a quick walk away. To top that off, the host Jennifer did absolutely everything to make our stay as great as possible. An easy 10/10!

A perfect oasis for a 60th celebration

Jennifer’s home is as comfortable as it is beautiful - just a gorgeous place for six high school friends to unwind & celebrate our 60th birthdays. We enjoyed everything- pool, sauna, hot tub, the great location. Walkable to beach, shops, restaurants & great ice cream! Jennifer was so helpful with recommendations prior to our visit, and a lovely & generous host while we were there. Loved it all!

AWESOME 10 STAR PLACE!!!

Before we arrived at the property, we knew exactly what to expect thanks to a very friendly, accommodating and caring owner. We were given a tour of the property and I was pleasantly surprised. It surpassed my expectations by a long shot! The floor plan, architectural design and facilities were just what we needed for a wonderful vacation. I have visited LaJolla over 10 times and stayed at VRBO’s. This was the best ever. I would like to keep this place secret for our three families, but Jennifer and Jim worked hard to make our stay wonderful and they deserve lots more repeat clients. We will be back for sure!

Amazing Location, Amazing house

Would be five stars but holiday ruined by lack of air conditioning, no blinds and lack of privacy!

An immaculate property with a wonderful outside area. The owners were helpful on the lead up to our holiday. We were looking forward to our time there. Described as 5 bed with 2 beds in the annex that can be separated from the main house which is the exact reason we rented it. These 2 beds cannot be separated from each other 1 is ground level, the other on a mezzanine that has an open balcony between the 2, no walls, just a blind. No window blinds at all. We arrived & walked into the annex from the garage, and it was boiling! The man said, ‘there are lots of industrial fans for your comfort’. This was worrying as states fully air conditioned. There is 1 air con vent in the floor of the annex, but nothing comes out of it at all even when I turned the air con up. I messaged the owner and she said, ‘that part doesn’t get as cool as the rest of the house and it will be being fixed in the winter’ and ‘it is what it is’! It was unbearable in there. My son and partner couldn't use those rooms and ended up in the main house. Most of it does not have blinds and the annex cannot be locked from the garage so is insecure with a big gap above the doors. The owner is aware of the issues and offered a portable air con unit which I declined due to the high noise. she gave us 1 night refund. I could have rented a 3 bed for far less which is what this is until issues are fixed. We were misled & wasted huge amounts of money as the owner knows there are issues, our holiday was sadly ruined.

Fantastic Vacation Rental

This house is beautiful. The yard is beautiful. The kitchen and BBQ is so fun for family cooking. It is well-stocked with everything you'd need. The hosts are friendly and helpful. They checked in with us several times to make sure everything was working as promised and to see if we had any questions. We had the best time!

Beyond Amazing!

A four night family birthday reunion with 8 people ages teen to 70s. The home is possibly the most thoughtfully designed home ever, combining an open inclusive concept, yet with interesting private spaces throughout to reflect and explore. The pool and real sauna are phenomenal. The kitchen is well stocked - really lovely fridge. Great yard and pool toys in the back. Nice fire pit. Comfy beds. MCM home with modern decor throughout - just absolutely lovely!! We had a few issues figuring out unique modern shower knobs and operating the fancy dishwashers, but we figured it out. Also, one of the showers was low on body wash, but a quick call revealed there is ample refill stock in the garage… along with two industrial washers and driers that were great for recycling pool towels, which there were many. Pretty much this home had everything we needed. Also, home is a short walk to beach and restaurant and shops. Very quiet neighborhood. You could come here and never leave. It is very private and wonderful, like your own resort. The open inclusive concept and giant open windows lend to a group being connected while doing separate activities. For example, some people could be in the pool, while some are sunbathing, while some are doing a puzzle on the kitchen table, while some are having appetizers in the kitchen, while some are reading in one of the two living/family rooms…and everyone is still connected and can participate in a group conversation - truly remarkable!

Jennifer and Skylar are wonderful hosts. The house and backyard are fantastic. The house is equipped with everything you need. You can walk to the beach or restaurants. My grandchildren loved the pool. We had an amazing stay and would definitely return.

California dream in La Jolla Shores

This property was everything we wanted for a So Cal getaway to celebrate 50th birthdays with longtime friends. The house is beautiful, with both formal and cozy living spaces, depending on your mood. The indoor-outdoor setup was perfect, and we were lucky to have a nice sunny weekend to float in and around the pool. Communication was great, house was clean, with plenty of dishes and glasses and towels. Really everything you could want. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants in La Jolla Shores, which are great, but the house and yard were so perfect we rarely wanted to leave. Plenty of room to spread out for privacy when wanted, plus welcoming central areas for gathering. The outdoor shower was the cherry on top. Just fabulous.

Family vacation

This La Jolla home is truly one of a kind. It is one of the best rental properties we’ve stayed in and the location is amazing. The property comes fully stocked with luxurious amenities and has everything you need to enjoy your time in La Jolla. The hosts were thoughtful and very attentive. We will definitely return!

Fantastic long weekend

We could not have asked for a better stay. Jennifer’s home was wonderful with room to spare for all 5 of us. Our group greatly enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. The location can not be beat, walking to restaurants, beach and ice cream. Jennifer was communicative, very helpful, and responsive. We can’t wait to be back.
