Oceanfront luxury and comfort await at this 1 Bedroom ground-floor condo. This condo has 1 queen bed, 1 sofa bed, flat-screen TV's and a private ground level ocean-view porch area. Stroll out the gate of your porch onto the pool deck and is a few steps to the beach. This ground-floor condo sleeps up to four guests between one bedroom and a sofa bed in the living area. The bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and a 32" flat-screen TV, while the bathroom has a tub/shower combination. The main living area has a 65" flat-screen TV and a DVD player. Slide open the glass doors to the porch and unwind to the soothing sounds of the ocean.

Abundant amenities await you at this beachfront resort. Features include both indoor and outdoor whirlpools, lazy river ride, spacious pool deck, and social areas, Oceanfront pools. Indoor pool. Children's Interactive splash and play area. AND BEST OF ALL FREE WIFI!

Conveniently located and within steps of the beach, close to Family Kingdom Amusement Park. A short drive from Broadway at the Beach, Market Common, Ripley's Aquarium, and IMAX Theater. Many of the areas popular attractions, restaurants, golf courses, and shopping are a short drive away.

This beachfront condo features 2 Queen Beds, a private bathroom, full-sized appliances, a kitchen table. This beachfront condo sleeps 4. Enjoy the morning sunrise on your private oceanfront balcony overlooking the beautiful ocean.

Linens are prepacked for cleanliness.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Schooner building is undergoing renovations on each floor. However, our unit is available for booking and remains in rentable condition.

AMENITIES: Starting 9/1/21, guests will not have access to the onsite restaurants (including the tiki bar and coffee shop), laundry facility, waterslides, kids' slide area, or fitness center. All other water features are available, except the indoor pool in the Schooner building.

PET POLICY: Pets are not allowed from March 1 to October 31.
Pets are only allowed for long-term renters (30+ days) from November to February.

Loved the Beach Front location! Indoor pool area with hot tubs were great! Plenty of pools on the property! Felt safe seeing security officers out and about patrolling around the grounds. Will definition come back again!

Vacation 2024

There were some things damaged in the room (i.e. ripped pillowcases, etc), but nothing that effected our stay or hindered our ability to have a good vacation. I was able to contact someone right away about these things and got a fast response. Check in and check out was easy. The location of the room right next to the pool and steps away from the beach was great for us.

Short Getaway

Nice stay. Right by the pool and easy access to the beach. Could have used more / better pots and pans. No small frying pan. Loved the Kerig. Only one remote worked due to dead batteries. Really no major complaints. Easy check in and check out. Would recommend.

Room not clean. Liquor bottles on floor, shower has no correct water temp level, sink stooped up, couldnt sleep because of noise, no toilet paper, TV didnt work. Overall false advertising.

Misleading

I would not call this place a condo. Way too small no couch. Look like under stove hadn’t been cleaned in a year. Very dissatisfied with property. No warning about cockroach traffic in and out of drain right in front of patio. Location was great just thought I was getting more comfortable space. This was just small space with 2 beds. I would keep bedroom at entrance and make room in front of patio a living area. Who wants to spend all time spent in the room in a bed. Very disappointed in rental unit. Not nearly enough towels for 5 night stay and you are practically cut off from hotel, that goodness the were nice enough to give us some towels and access to laundry because there was only 1 set of bedding. Never encountered this with Airbnb and it’s a good chance I will not use Vrbo again

Eh!

Talking to the owner of the rental over VRBO was great. She was very responsive and informative. The facility itself though sucks. First, when you initially book your stay they send you a long email requesting a picture of your license, credit card, and of your signature, which seems sketchy. I did not supply that information and was never asked for it again (again seems sketchy). The room itself was nice enough, however it did not seem very clean and you could see stains on the sheets from a previous person's stay, which the restore then blamed on us and charged us for it! Also, there are stray cats EVERYWHERE on the resorts campus. Again this is not a reflection of Julia herself but more of the resort.

Pros .. clean, pool literally outside your door as is beach, will stay again Cons.. glade plug in scent too strong.. prefer direct contact with renter through VRBO rather than email, felt overwhelmed with multiple emails and notices about rules

Very nice place to stay.

The condo at Compass Cove was a very nice condo. It was clean and nice. Big Fish Rental which manages the condo was very professional and helpful with questions. The location is first floor ocean front which was ideal for us since we brought our two puppies with us. I would recommend this property for anyone who travel with pets. We enjoyed the property. The only complaint is that there is not a lot of grass area around to take the dogs outside, we had to usually go to the beach.

I would highly recommend bringing extra towels and wash cloths as they only provide very few of both . The air conditioner in the first bedroom was not functioning properly, but the owner did come with maintenance to look at it And unfortunately a part had to be ordered so it was warm sleeping in that room . Also be prepared to have little to no privacy on the balcony area as the pool area is directly by the balcony . Other than that , our stay was pleasant and the place was nicely remodeled . I loved the fact that pets are welcome as we were traveling with our goldendoodle 🐶.

The worst place you can stay at!

We left this morning around 10. I do have a few recommendations regarding the cleanliness of the condo. When we first arrived the floors seemed to have been slept, but not mopped. Behind the nightstands and dresser, there are crumbs, hair and dead bugs. I sent a picture earlier to Julie about the comforter on the first bed as you walk into the condo, it was ripped and seen to be patched up a few times. There were grease stains on both comforters. I mention these issues just in case you were not aware. Your condo rental posting claims how important it is to check out by 10 am so the cleaning crew will have plenty of time to clean the condo for the next renters. I suggest maybe using a different cleaning company. We were supposed to be there until tomorrow, but I could not sleep one more night in a not so clean environment.

Noisy Myrtle

The apartment was on the ground floor so our grandson could play while we could keep an eye on him. This turned out to be a mistake for us. Two of the three nights turned out to be very noisy into the early morning. One night was loud music which came from the suite above us and the second from a loud group partying outside the room. Never will we take a ground floor apartment again nor use VRBO where we are stuck with the accommodations.

A bit of a disappointment

Im going to start with the good. Great location. Easy access to beach. Convenient parking. Pet friendly, but no real area for walking your pets. The kitchen was adequate but there was no silverware, we had to go buy some plastic utensils, we left the remainder of the box so the next guest wouldn't have to. The furnishings were adequate but only 3 total chairs, two at dining table and one small sitting chair. A family of four couldn't eat at the table. Someone had to sit on the bed to eat. Now to the bad... The "room" needs updating. The thing that really turned me off was the bed linens. They were frankly gross. The bedspread, pillow shams, decor pillows and thin comforter under decor bedspread were old, completely worn out and heavily stained. We literally had to go Walmart and buy blankets! Luckily we brought a few of our own pillows from home. The sheets were freshly laundered, at least. The other big issue for me was the knob on the bathroom door. It was installed incorrectly so the door wouldnt shut! That was a problem. No one using the restroom had privacy! I contacted manager and sent a photo and they acted like it was a big surprise. I found that very disingenuous because it clearly had been that way for some time. The knob was not new. The whole room felt damp due to the cheap a/c's. If it had been any hotter, those a/c's would not have cut it. The whole resort was a bit outdated and run down. The lazy river pictured outside the patio, another reason we chose this room, was drained and not available. The indoor pool, water slide and lazy river also a little gross. There was no staff seen and there were dozens of unattended kids and teenagers in the pool, rough housing, blocking the stairs, taking the tubes from the lazy river into the pool and throwing them around. I saw a small child, maybe 5 years old get hit in the head with a big, hard lazy river tube and she was hurt. No adult came to help her. Myself and another guest helped her out of the water. She had a small cut near her eye and she was very upset. We called out... who's child is this? And a teenager came over and said he would take her to her mom who was not there. They need staff in that area! Luckily there was a heated pool outside as well that wasn't crowded with unattended children. The price we paid was excessive for this room. We had a great time. The issues didn't ruin the fun but it would have been great to have nice linens and a bath door that would shut!

Great spot

This was a great deal during covid for my dog and I to rejuvenate at the beach. Ground floor entry, and patio w gate oceanside were easy to access. (Note: There is a significant threshold, so while not easy for a person w a wheelchair, it would be possible.) I brought a fan, and aired the place out before I spent time inside. The fan use was only a covid precaution; the unit was very clean, and as depicted in the pictures. There are two double/queen? beds in separate rooms, so 4 could be accommodated, though there’s no living room space inside. Although the pool patio area is directly in front of the unit, I could easily hear the waves beyond from inside. One small item to improve is to have more eating utensils. The general location is good, and it was fun to see small planes coming in for landing at the nearby airport, from the patio. (Plane noise was no issue.) If you’re wanting to stay in S Myrtle, this is a great unit for the price. I would come again.
