Carole Cottage - close to golf, tennis, and the beach

A wonderful 3 bedroom, 2 bath house with a screened-in porch and an open porch just 3 blocks from the beach. The Golf Course and Tennis Center are nearby. Smart TV with basic cable provided.

Pool Privileges are provided at Holiday Inn.

Linens are provided with this unit, as well as a starter set of paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, and dishwasher detergent. These items will not be replenished during your stay.

NO PETS. NO SMOKING.

NOTE: Rental guests are not allowed to have pets in the cottage at any time. This doesn’t imply that the rental is a completely pet-free property. If our no pet or no smoking policy is broken, a $1000 fine will be charged to the card on file AND you will be asked to vacate the property without a refund.

Location was perfect for our trip: right in the middle of the island close to the golf course, restaurants, and the beach. It is on a very quiet street in a nice neighborhood. The place was clean and completely s advertised, Check in and check out were very easy.

We were not able to enter the property. Email that was sent stated the door would be unlocked and keys inside. The doors were locked. Had to call for assistance, lady was not very apologetic. Waited for another person to call who was rude. Waited 30-45 minutes to be able to enter the house.

Carole Cottage

The rental needs some TLC and a deep clean. It has a lot of potential. We loved the back porch and the yard. Its very close to the beach and restaurants.

Just what I was hoping for

The place was in a quiet neighborhood only about a half mile walk to the beach. To me it was a great value. I did not have to spend time figuring things out at the house. It was comfortable and relaxing.

Badly needed “island time”

We had a very relaxing weekend. Quiet neighborhood, easy walk to the beach. I’m very impressed with the professionalism of Parker Kaufman realty, they were so easy to deal with and I can’t say “thank you” enough. House was great, covered patio in back, decent sized rooms. I would rent it again

Home away from home

Enjoyed staying in this vacation home. It was clean and cozy. There was plenty of room for our family, 4 adults and 2 kids. In the evening while sitting in the screened porch we were blessed with a visit from some deer. I love to cook, so we ate all our meals at "home". The kitchen was furnished with all we needed as far as dishes and utensils. It was really nice having a washer and dryer. The beds were comfortable. While it doesn't offer a beach view, the walk to the beach isn't too far.

Enjoyed our stay at Carole Cottage

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location for the cottage, within two blocks of the beach and just a short drive up the road to Driftwood Beach. Everything was clean and in good order in the house. We did have issues eventually on the second day where the front door lock refused to work, but the garage door opened to the same key, so no issues there. Some may think the place needs updated, but it had everything we needed, the furniture was comfortable, and absolutely no concerns while we were there. Would certainly consider returning to the cottage again in the future.

Good choice on Jykell

Carole Cottage is very dated but exceptionally clean in a nice neighborhood. A short walk to the beach. We would recommend this rental but be warned supples provided were sparse. Bring your own laundry detergent, bath soap, coffee filters, charcoal, extra dishwasher detergent and possibly roll off TP. Also be prepared to be asked to sweep and vacuum floors. This was a first for us, but may be common in beach rentals.
