Property Overview

Tucked above the Linville River Pasture and minutes from Lake James, this small but well-equipped cabin is the perfect retreat for couples, small families, or solo travelers. Enjoy a large covered patio for outdoor dining, breathtaking views toward the lake, and unforgettable starlit nights from the deck.

The cabin comes with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including fresh linens, towels, and thoughtful essentials.

• Relax and make yourself at home!
• Treat the cabin with care as if it were your own.
• Strip used bedding/towels and place in the closet hamper before checkout.
• Use E-Heat mode on the thermostat when heating.
• No shoes indoors if possible (helps keep the cabin fresh and clean).
• Pets are welcome, but:
• Wipe paws before entering.
• Pets may not be left alone in the cabin unless kenneled (no exceptions).
• Firewood: call Christian (828-604-0050).
• Help yourself to magnets on the fridge or basic items in the cabinets.
• Please write in our guest journal — we love reading about your stay!

Wow! What a great rental! This was the perfect stay for a quick weekend getaway. My family of four had plenty of room. The rental was very family friendly. Our girls loved playing on the zip line and swimming in the river. We hiked the Shortoff trail which is a 5 minute drive away. Christian was very a wonderful host! We will be back soon!

Perfection!

We had an amazing vacation. Great walks on the property exploring, zip lining, and smores around the firepit. It was a great time connecting as a family at Christmas with plenty of activities. The cabin and host were amazing. Looking forward to another trip there. .

Wonderful little cabin to stay in!

We really enjoyed our stay there. Christian the property owner was very courteous and has a lot of information about the surrounding area (things to go see, places to fish, places to eat). We spent one day driving up the old highway and getting gorgeous views of the fall colors from above the gorge. We also visited the caverns a short ways north. In addition we enjoyed the options on the property for knife/hatchet throwing, zip line, horse shoes, and the use of a gas fire pit on the porch or a full wood fire pit just a short distance from the cabin. The cabin was also very clean and plenty of utinsels and goodies. With just the two of us we just used the bedroom but there was plenty of space on the other end of the tiny cabin for 3-4 more adults/kids. Highly recommend you check out this wonderful nook just south of the gorge!!!

Nice quiet setting

We had me and my spouse and my adult son on our trip. The house was perfect for our family. The living room had a pull out couch with an built in air mattress in it. It had all the amenities one would need for a get away.

Relaxing Getaway

We were looking for some downtime over a long weekend. We chose the cabin on the basis of the positive reviews which had been shared by previous reviewers, and we were not disappointed. The cabin was very clean and well equipped. Christian was an outstanding host, and we would have no problem with recommending this property.

Very hospitable and clean!

There was a lot of space and I enjoyed the layout of the house. Christian and Marty were very hospitable and made sure everything was running smoothly at the house. Great owners!

Great cabin!

My family of two adults and two boys (9 and 10) had a great stay. It was small but comfortable—a queen in the bedroom and my boys loved the upper loft. There was also a couch bed that we didn’t use. The property was beautiful with tons to do. Christian was a great host and offered many suggestions for activities in the area. We’ll be back!

Anniversary weekend Awesome get away

We loved our stay and will definitely be going back. We were able to take our boat and be at Lake James in 3 minutes awesome. Our family came and enjoyed cooking out and roasting marshmallows for the evening and it was great !! Great host and Marty is awesome too

Perfect little cabin for our family trip.

This is a great place to stay. Christians was a great host making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Lots of things to do around the cabin and Lake James. Short drive Linville Falls And Linville caverns. Also if your lucky Pam make great sourdough bread.
