Welcome to The Rear Admiral — an ocean view second floor retreat just steps from Jacksonville Beach sand. This 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom unit sleeps 5 and offers the perfect beachside basecamp for families.

The space features a queen bedroom and a second bedroom with unique single-over-queen bunk beds (guests use bunk beds at their own risk per insurance requirements). Both rooms include TVs for evening relaxation after beach days. The full bathroom serves the entire unit, while your fully equipped kitchen handles family meals with everything from morning coffee to beachside picnic prep.

Your private deck provides ocean views for sunrise coffee, while the shared back porch offers additional space to gather with your group. High-speed wifi keeps everyone connected, and in-unit laundry means you can pack light for longer stays. Free street parking plus a public lot beside the building solves logistics for multi-car families.

You're literally one block from the beach with a 9-minute walk to Mellow Mushroom for family pizza nights and craft beer for adults. Salt Life Food Shack's surf culture seafood is a 10-minute stroll, while Refinery Jax Beach offers oceanview fine dining just 11 minutes on foot. The famous Jacksonville Beach Pier and O-Ku's rooftop sushi are a quick 2-minute drive for fishing excursions or date nights.

This property sits on the second floor of a 4-unit building (all vacation rentals) with keyless entry and no elevator access. We provide beach towels, linens, kitchen essentials, and full bathroom supplies. Pet families welcome with $30 per pet per day. Please note ongoing city renovation projects may cause construction noise and minor road access limitations during winter months.

A refundable security deposit or optional damage waiver may be required. Guests will be given the option to choose between a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver prior to check-in.

Wonderful stay

Property was clean, welcoming, and steps from the beach! Perfect location for easy beach access. We enjoyed the house too. They have thought of everything a family could need including children’s utensils in the kitchen. Highly recommend!

Great location right on the beach. Plenty of free parking just outside the door. Very clean condo fully equipped with most kitchen ware needed for a night cooking in. Good WiFi and large smart TV’s in every room. Value 5/5!

Wonderful!

I was very pleasantly surprised with how great this condo is. It was clean, spacious and with very nice decor. Parking was great and right outside. The condo had a deck to sit on with views of the beach which was just steps away! I didn't want to leave and will look to stay again if I have to make another trip to Jax Beach.

We love the beach!

Great location right on the beach. That is where we spent our time. We met a lot of nice people including the BirdMan - a retired Navy vet who loves to feed the birds 4 times daily. Property was clean and as advertised. We really enjoyed our stay.

We are both West Point (BS) and Notre Dame (MBA) alums with backgrounds in finance and operations.
