Built in 1960 and beautifully renovated since, this lovely Wexler home is a wonderful example of the mid-century modern architecture that made Palm Springs famous. A clean, minimalist design carries throughout the living space, where you'll find original works of art, colorful tile work, and bright, sunny rooms that open to the lovely outdoors. Prepare breakfast each morning in a kitchen with stainless steel appliances and high-gloss cobalt cabinetry, and barbecue your lunches outside on the gas grill. As for your afternoons, you'll spend them swimming in the private pool, relaxing in the attached spa, and unwinding with a good book on the patio or in the bonus room. You'll love swimming in the refurbished pool on those hot summer days. Take advantage of the high-speed WiFi to post your favorite memories to your social media and stream your favorite movies and shows on the 60-inch smart TV in the living room.

WHAT'S NEARBY
This home is located in the El Rancho Vista neighborhood of Palm Springs, which enjoys easy access to downtown (less than three miles west) and Palm Springs International Airport (less than three miles south). Take a quick drive or bike ride over to Palm Canyon Drive, the main strip of downtown that's lined with popular restaurants, boutiques, art galleries, and all sorts of nightlife. Or, spend your days golfing at one of the countless world-class courses in the area or riding the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway (seven miles west) for a majestic view of the desert below.

THINGS TO KNOW
-Outdoor music is prohibited. Music that is played indoors must not be heard outdoors. City ordinance states that any music that is audible from the property line is a violation. People noise during the day is permissible but must be measured and reasonable. Daytime is considered 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
-The utility deposit is $1,500 for 28 nights with $375 added for each additional week the guest stays.
-This home is managed by Vacation Palm Springs Real Estate, Inc.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.
This rental is located on floor 1.
1 day notification is required in order to heat the pool and pool spa. A fee of USD 75 per day must be paid prior to check-in to purchase pool and pool spa heat for your stay.
Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours. This technology is privacy compliant, and only monitors the presence of decibels and devices-not any personal conversation or information. Thank you for supporting our efforts to be good neighbors!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Nice house but some issues

The house is nice and clean and plenty of space - just like the pictures. The garden was nice too - we had some issues with the heating of the hot-tub, so I would suggest being aware and on top of the management company if you do too. A manual for the hot-tub would have been helpful.

Vacasa doesn't do a good job with helping with questions

If i would have gotten service from Vacasa i would have not said this stuff. First off house smelled like a stale bar, wet towel left hanging in master bathroom like folded nicley for me to use bit drenched, masterbath room also had stuff all over bath mat, fire pit outside did not work, got charged extra for dog even though i was already charged only took 4 hours and 3 days to get money back. Also got told that we didnt pay for pool or hot tub which we had paid on day we arrived . House manger never seemed to call back untill i wrote an email to company. Who ever owns this house needs a new company to look after it. Oh and 3 sprinkler heads were broken and leaking water which was not a big deal but sure home owners would like to know instead of spending extra money on water leaking. We also wrote pool guy a note that heat was going all day long. Again money just being wasted by home owner. I did contact vrbo and they are the ones who had to contact vacasa and get us all on the phone. Thank you Vrbo

The house was very nice and we would have enjoyed our stay more had the pool heater been fixed. We picked this home because of the pool and then we couldn't enjoy it because without the heater, the water was too cold!

Not very accurate ….

The house was in major need of repairs - from the toilet that wobbled in the en suite bathroom to the cracked and chipped floor to the really dirty and poorly maintained pool and hot tub. The whole experience was NOT what was expected. The location was just fine - close enough to downtown but far enough that you really get the wind. So much debris blew into the yard - from neighbors pool inflatables to palm fronds and other tree pieces. Because of the wind, there is dust inside the home - dirt at the bases of the sliders and dust creeps in everywhere. The beds were really just mediocre. The furniture was like something out of a staged home. The pictures made the space out to look new and modern. It was not. The pool and hot tub were so dirty that there was dirt that clouded up when you stepped into the water. The steps felt slick from being so dirty. And the structure of the pool is deteriorating!! The concrete seems to be separating from the actual pool. I took pictures because it was unbelievable! There were roots from the neighboring palms that were seeping into the pool from the separated spaces. Because we couldn’t really use the pool/hot tub given how filthy they were, we ended up leaving a day early. We will not be returning, and I hope that the much needed repairs are completed so future guests have a better time than we did.

With the temperature over 100 daily and thermostat not allowed to be set under 76 fans would help.

Hardware for doors and plumbing need fixing. Toilet loose and faucets also. Ice maker needs to be working. Grill should be checked for gas I shouldn't have to change the tank myself. The beds need better mattresses. The lack of outs is a problem.

Beware of pictures!

We stayed at the Poolside Wexler for a week. I can tell you the pictures of the pool spa and lawn furniture had to be taken 10+ years ago. From the day we arrived to the day we left the pool and spa were covered in algae, dirt on the bottom of the pool and spa, lawn chairs were filthy. We contacted customer service 3x's and two supposedly pool people came out but nothing changed. We were unable to use the spa due to all the algae. We did swim a bit since we paid for a Poolside home!! The book they leave to tell you all the do's and don'ts said the pool is cleaned twice a week, this pool had not been cleaned in 2 months! The house was very nice and clean. Kitchen had everything we needed (except a cutting board). Plenty of towels. We were very happy with the house and surrounding area, hated the pool/spa! Nice location.

Great Space!!!

Great living space and comfortable beds. The home needs a little love.... toilets can be tricky and there are some dings and scratches all over the floors, but overall it was amazing! Love the pool, although the heater needs some oil as it squeaks a lot during the day. I would definitely book here again! On the end of a dead end street, the neighbors were very quiet and respectful as well.

This place will stress you out!

Here’s a timeline of our stay here. In the weeks leading up: WAY too many emails, had to install a special app (why?) Arrive Thursday evening. The lockbox code we were given in one of the dozen emails is incorrect. We call the number and are told the person on the line “cannot give that information.” What? We are told to drive several miles to the office to speak to someone in person who does give us the right code. If we had arrived 20 minutes later, that person would have left for the evening and I guess we would have been out of luck? Drive back to the house, thankfully the code works. Friday morning. Wake up at 6:30 because the intense Palm Springs sun is BLAZING through our windows because the curtains are sheer. (Don’t stay here if you plan to sleep late!). Made breakfast in the kitchen. The toaster SETS OUR TOAST ON LITERAL FIRE. It appears someone had messed with the internal wires and they will directly touch whatever you put in there. Shake that off and attempt to get on the WiFi for work and our child’s zoom schooling. Nope! WiFi was essentially inoperable and the homes binder of info suggests it “might not work with Mac laptops.” Huh? It also advised to call Spectrum, as if I’m the owner of the account? After lunch, we attempted to load the dishwasher which we quickly realized was non functioning and full of standing water that smelled like a sewer. (That water would later start leaking out of the dishwasher onto the floor when the garbage disposal was activated). Later that evening, while attempting to bathe our children, we noticed what appeared to be dozens of pubic hairs scattered all around the bathroom and towels. An attempt to unwind that night in the hot tub was thwarted by the realization that the pool heater emits a deafening whine that renders conversation in the hot tub annoying if not impossible. Also there were no cutting boards and the kitchen trash can was the size of a waste paper basket. Those weren’t trip ruiners but it was weird! It’s a shame because the house itself if quite architecturally beautiful. It’s a Wexler in Rancho Vista Estates. It would be so much cooler if it was actually cared for!

Great house for travelers with pet, needs a lot of touch up

Like the other reviewers, this house is a bit old. The floor can do a lot of rebuffing, perhaps remove the green grass and maybe be replace with turf. The pool tiles are falling out. The plants are dying. The fridge ice machine is broken. Please note that the pool folks will clean the pool early in the morning on Saturdays if you are staying over night from Friday. Overall the size of the house is fabulous. It is a nice house with a great fence. If you have dogs the fence is fully enclosed so they can roam around. The bathrooms are absolutely nice. The laundry room is helpful.

Pool and yard huge pluses

Overall we had a good weekend here. The home is in a quiet area that was nice to walk the dogs in. We could tell it was maybe an older home and had some wear, but still clean and well decorated and huge windows that provided great light. The pool was great, especially since we've all been stuck inside for so long. Plenty of outdoor seating, and a fully fenced yard for the pups. The AC worked well and kept us cool. Only like 10-15 mins from food, and in an area with delivery access. I will say that the management company didn't answer any questions pre-arrival, which was frustrating, but they did answer all my questions post-arrival. I did appreciate the facetime check-in and key lockbox to minimize contact. Also, I know all of the documents say pool/gardening services are based on the owner's schedule and happen without notice, but the documents also listed that pool services would happen on Friday and it happened very early Saturday morning. Some kind of advance notice would have been appreciated since we had dogs with us AND the bedroom windows/sliding doors all face the yard.

Nice Getaway

Nice getaway The neighborhood is nice and quiet, and the house has all the necessities. The kitchen is well-appointed, and like a typical Wexler, there are many lounging/dining areas throughout the home and yard. We really enjoyed that there was some grass in the backyard, and the pool was a bit small but perfectly fine for 2 or 3 adults.

Poolside Modern Wexler

Very nice and pet friendly; great floor plan for entertaining. Stephanie came out and showed us how to use the TV and Spa and was very helpful and nice. The cold water valve for the kitchen sink was leaking the entire time and needs to be repaired.
