When we arrived, we were so excited to see how beautiful this home was just nestled back in the forest in its own corner of heaven. We loved the fact that it had such an amazing view of Fallen Leaf Lake with the tall majestic trees around us. The inside of the home was huge and roomy, and every room provided adequate comfort and unbelievable views to relax. Be prepared for no cell, no internet, some books & magazines, no games, and we had to go into Stateline to shop for what we could find. The reservation said there would be games, but there weren’t any, some puzzles yes, and a partial deck of playing cards. I brought a few DVD’s because the reservation said there was a DVD player. The DVD’s there were very specific to one’s taste and not something you would provide to renters as a selection. I tried to use the DVD player at first and it would not work, so I had to put a call into Maintenance. Unfortunately, he was not available the same day we arrived. I called him the next day, and I must say he is the nicest, most helpful and just easy to work with person ever. Kudos to your maintenance man!!!! He came over that day and fixed the DVD with instructions on how to work it and how to use the functions (as there are (4) remotes and very difficult to just process the use of the TV alone with it). At the same time, he was able to help me with the washing machine knob that didn’t work either. Thank you for that!
When our family books a rental we always, always clean our rental by vacuuming, and respecting the rules of the company/owner and going the extra mile so they know how much we care about their property. We did that. However, I could not vacuum because the vacuum was broken. But myself, and my family made sure we did everything we could to clean up to show our respect and appreciation for your property. I’d like to add that perhaps it would be worth the investment to replace some appliance items or just repair them. At the same time, it would be a good idea to throw away the partial collection of old games and replace them with actual complete games for guests. Do it for the guests, they would appreciate it.
