A Bourbon Trail Getaway
I booked this place for my BIL’s 40th. Three nights. It was 6 adults, 3 couples. We could not ask for a more centrally located place. Easy drives to all the great distilleries. But out of the way and peaceful. The views of the lake driving in were amazing. We saw deer and a turkey. You can’t quite see the lake but it’s so pretty from the back deck.
When we arrived one of the bathroom showers wouldn’t stop running. I messaged the property manager and she and the owner got back to me right away. The owner and plumber showed up and got to work. She was super apologetic. We had cracked open some beer and enjoyed the hot tub. And she was a hoot! Happened to be from our home state so we had a fun conversation.
The place is fully equipped for everything you need even though I bought my vacation kitchen tote. Plenty of everything. The hot tub was lovely. The back deck get a ton of sun, so FYI if that’s an issue. Hot tub plus sun plus beer can end badly if you aren’t drinking water.
Definitely want to come back and would 100% book again. The only thing I would change is adding a shower handle to the jacuzzi tub in the upstairs bedroom. You can make it work but not ideal if you aren’t flexible. Beds were very comfy. Plenty of space and privacy. No issues with WiFi at all. Watched the draft and drank bourbon.
