The staff was welcoming and very accommodating. The house was very clean. The food was absolutely AMAZING! The location is ideal for families with both young children and teenagers. The location is perfect for kayaking, snorkeling and riding jet skies. We had a family of 7 ranging in age from 16 to 58 and everyone had a wonderful time. We will definitely stay here for our next trip to Roatan.

What a great property and staff! We will be back!

I could not give this property a higher recommendation. The staff was great and attentive, the house was large and luxurious and everything was exactly as advertised. We loved the cabana, private beach and boat dock. It was a wonderful way to spend our first week in Roatan. We will definitely be back to stay again!

Beautiful stay with very attentive and courteous staff

Our stay at Vista Verde was perfect. The property is gorgeous and very well maintained. The staff could not have been better as they were very attentive and promptly took care of any issues that we had or anything that we needed. From local recommendations to helping us locate our favorite island foods! As with any island accommodation, you may experience some small power outages or internet outages, but there is still plenty to do and sometimes those distractions are not missed! Would definitely recommend staying here!

Mr. J, thank you so much for your kind words! While power outages happen sometimes, that's why we have an 80kW genset that automatically starts, with enough fuel on site to run the property for a week. It sounds like you enjoyed your stay, and we'd love to have you back anytime! Sincerely, Vista Verde Roatan Staff

Our group of 11 (4 adults and 7 kids ages 9-18) stayed at Vista Verde for the New Year Holiday. We had a fantastic experience and cannot say enough about this property. The option for having a full staff for the week was more than worth the cost. We had Annette as the business manager, Cristobal as the property manager, Albert as our Lunch & Dinner Chef, Jennifer and Berta as our Breakfast chefs and cleaning, and finally Casey as our beach assistant. The staff makes all the difference here, they turn this lovely house into a private all-inclusive mini-resort. The house is thoughtful crafted and decorated to maintain Honduran culture. There was plenty of sleeping spaces and bathrooms for our group of 11. Annette spoiled us and took care of everything from grocery shopping to reservations for excursions. The listing is accurate in all the available amenities including a jet ski, 2 boats, a Toyota 4Runner, 4 kayaks, snorkel equipment, etc. We highly recommend using Mr Dewey for his East End boat tour and West End land tour. We also recommend a day at Brady’s Key - all of this can be arranged through Annette. Everyone had a wonderful time on this trip, its hard to mention all the great details. Highly recommend this property for your trip to Roatan

Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for choosing Vista Verde Roatán to celebrate the New Year with your family! It truly means a lot to us to hear that your group had such a fantastic experience. Our team—Cristobal, Albert, Jennifer, Berta, Casey, and myself—loved hosting your group, and we’re so happy that the full-staff experience made your stay feel like a private mini-resort. Knowing that you enjoyed the home, the cultural details, the amenities, and the excursions makes all the planning and care so rewarding. Thank you as well for the kind recommendations. It was a pleasure helping coordinate everything, and we’re thrilled that your family created such special memories here in Roatán. You’ll always be welcome back at Vista Verde, and we hope to host you again in the future! Warm regards, Asa&Anette - Vista Verde Staff

An Incredible Propert

This was an amazing property. The owners of this property had a vision and it is clear when you arrive and see the home and the view. The approach with the staff, water sports etc. are extremely accomodating. We have never had an experience of seclusion but with suh close, personal access to the reef. Very quiet. We went to the West End, about a hour drive, and my wifes comment was, "The West End better be perfect, because we are leaving perfect".

Paradise!

Our trip to Casa Vista Verde was a dream vacation!! The staff took amazing care of our family. They made us feel right at home from the moment we pulled in. The house is gorgeous, super clean and was stocked with all our special requests. The food was authentic and delicious. We highly recommend Chef Frank, no need to eat out when you have him cooking! Ana and Annette made sure all our needs were met and every activity was planned perfectly, rain or shine. We had a beautiful engagement and a dream 25th anniversary renewal. One thing to remember, don’t forget the bug spray!! The sand flies love new people. All 10 of us enjoyed our memorable stay. Thank you for an unforgettable vacation!

Amazing Luxury Vacation

This property is truly magical. We had a group of 13 people ranging from 8 years old to 80 years old. There is really something for everyone here. The staff is amazing. We could not have asked for anything else. The bedrooms are just as photographed and are comfortable. We were lucky with the weather for the first 4 of our 7 days. Even in the rain and wind the property was fun and beautiful. Thank you to the entire staff for making this a vacation we will never forget. Having the golf cart to go down to the beach house and get around the property is awesome! Be aware of the sand fleas they do spray at the property but do buy or bring bug spray. All around an amazing experience and we would love to come back.

Quiet Paradise

Traveled with two families (total of 7 people). The property is amazing with landscaped acres of fruit and palm trees, manicured beachfront and quiet seclusion. We enjoyed our stay immensely and look forward to coming back. Ana, the property manager, arranged our diving and activities. On two days we were picked up from the pier and taken to the nearby resort. We've always wanted to visit Roatan for diving and island experiences and we were not disappointed. The nice part is that you can plan your activities around the cruise ship schedule (Wednesdays and Thursdays seem to be the crowded days). We did rent the facilities PWC and enjoyed traveling down the coast to see some of the beautiful properties inside the reef. Highly recommend getting the chef-prepared dinners if in a larger group because restaurants require a bit of a drive to get to.

Stunning house, Stunning location

The description and pictures of this property do not do it justice. It is far more beautiful in person. The villa has everything anyone could need AND a beach side cabana with even more. The staff could not have taken better care of us! Jocelyn's cooking was excellent. Hector and Neptali went out of their ways to help us while keeping the pool and grounds immaculate and nearly bug free (a couple mosquito bites among all of us obtained on excursions - no sand fleas). Ana provided such wonderful suggestions for outings we were always setting off to spectacular beaches, restaurants with delicious foods (fresh lobster and lionfish at La Sirena absolutely incredible) and exciting adventures (mangroves, iguanas, zip lining!). I cannot thank the owners and the staff enough for an incredible vacation and life long memories for myself and my daughter. We cannot wait to go back!

Family vacation Roatan Casa Vista Verde

Stayed a week at Casa Vista Verde / had a great time / house is extremely clean, secluded and the staff very attentive and accommodating. We did most meals at the house and the chef did a fantastic job (our favorites were sushi night, the spaghetti with pesto and seafood, risotto and the lobster tails). We went snorkeling, played golf, went kayaking and also deep sea fishing. All activities were awesome and the staff always took care of arranging the transportation. The only disappointment is the flies which just seem to bite daily and the our enjoyment of the beach. The beach area is huge and feels private… we even did an evening bonfire that the staff prepared… but the beach is very course with shells and rocks and the water has a lot of sea grass … which is not inviting to swim or lounge around. This was a nit for us as we were predominately a pool user. We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again

Dear Mr. Scala. Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. We are very pleased to hear that our staff made your stay pleasant and you enjoyed our services to the fullest. Roatan is home to a small insect called a “sand fly”. It is believed closely related to an insect known in the US as a no-see-um. In our experience they are very sensitive to OFF! One spray in the morning and one when coming out of the water, usually keeps them away all day. We provide OFF! As part of our welcome amenities at check in and are happy to provide more upon request. They tend to show up when conditions on the beach are wet and coo, which is normally around November to early January. During that time we also fog twice a day with a bio-gradable botanical repellent if conditions indicate they may be on the shore. As advertised, our shore line is roughly 900 ft long. The Eastern and Western thirds are sand, but the center third consists of mostly coral fragments and shells, and is rough in its natural state. For this reason, we recommend our guests wear water shoes as appropriate. The Turtle Grass or Sea Grass is a nursery for many sea species including baby barracudas, baby turtles, sea horses etc. The sea grass grows and shrinks as sea conditions change there was more during your stay than average, however we hope you also noticed the number of small sea creatures in there natural habitat. As you leave the shore line there is a section of the beach with is pure sand underwater, and as you get deeper you will find again more turtle grass. Our staff is happy to point out sections with pure sand. Our guests can also take the kayaks, jet-ski, or boats to enjoy the clear water and sand just inside the deep water reef just minutes away. It was a pleasure to host your stay, and we hope to see you again! Casa Vista Verde Staff-

Wonderful relaxing stay!

We just returned from one of the most amazing and relaxing weeks of vacation in Roatán! Casa Vista Verde is an absolute paradise of a property! There are lots of places to relax and take in the breathtaking views of the ocean. Roatán is a great island getaway with lots to do from snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, hugging sloths/monkeys, exploring the West End/Bay area or finding secluded beaches on the East End to explore! But what really makes Casa Vista Verde absolutely amazing is the friendly and caring staff. Ana kept everything organized and helped us get all our activities set up. Edelis kept the villa very clean and did laundry when needed. Neptali and Hector kept the grounds looking great and were wonderful guides around the island by land and sea! Yosselin made the most delicious meals, each one like a 5 star restaurant! Relaxing with family on the patio overlooking the ocean enjoying the amazing food and presentation will be something we will always remember!! We can’t say enough about how great the staff are at Casa Vista Verde! We would highly recommend staying at this fabulous villa and enjoying all Roatán has to offer!

Perfect vacation

From beginning to end. It was perfect. Starting from the communication prior to arriving at the property Ana and Anette communicated clearly and helped ensure our arrival was a good one. The property is beautiful and well kept. We felt like we were living the life of rich and famous. It was a homecoming of sorts for my mom that came down for the trip. We had a friend who loved fresh coconut water. The staff ensured that she had fresh coconut water for breakfast. The amazing cook and housekeeper made us a great breakfast every morning. We only chose to have breakfast prepared. Part of me could have stayed exclusively on the property but we chose to leave during the day and take advantage of all the things Roatan has to offer. Ana was able to coordinate travel for my parents and get them from and to the property. That was a great help for us. I highly recommend Casa Vista Verde. A beautiful property with lovely staff that ensured our stay was special.

Four Seasons Service In Your Very Own Villa

I don't know if I booked too quickly or if I just wasn't paying attention, but I did not realize this house was fully staffed when I booked. What an AMAZING surprise! I'm the one that typically cooks, cleans, and watches the kids on our vacations. I love traveling with my family, but I always need a vacation from my vacation. I can't tell you how amazing it was to have the cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, laundry, etc. taken off my plate so I could ENJOY! The entire staff was incredible and truly made our vacation. Four seasons service. The home is beautiful and has everything you need. I believe it is accurately described in the description and photos. It was set up perfectly for 2 families. The location was ideal for us. Snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, diving, and boating all out your backdoor. We took the boat or kayaks out almost every day. We so very appreciate you sharing your home and hospitality with us. We hope to be back soon!

Absolutely beautiful and helpful staff

We have rented many villas through the world, and none have come with such a helpful staff. If you have ever used the angel service many travel agents use, this was much better. They were there to meet us at the airport, arranged everything we wished to do, and picked up everything we asked for. They were truly our personal concierge. The house and grounds are exactly as shown which is beautiful, and well maintained. There is security and we always felt safe. The lady that does the cooking prepares good, fresh food. Excellent breakfasts of beans, eggs, bacon, and fresh fruit. She does a very good bbq chicken, and understand her ribs are excellent but didn't get a chance to enjoy them. I would recommend the dive shop that is right by the house, they will pick you up right at the house. I would also have them take you by boat to the west end for a day at the busy beach, if your into that. The kids enjoyed it. All in all if you want a laid back, low stress, vacation to enjoy the time with the people you are with can't go wrong, with casa vista verde. But the island is very "rustic" think Jamaica without the big hotels. And people that wish to please.

Vista Verde

Vista Verde was a perfect spot for our family vacation on Roatan. With eight of us, there was plenty of room to spread out in its immaculate modern house. Recently built and beautifully maintained, its stunning location catches a nice breeze, keeping the insects and heat to a minimum. The property is located in a gorgeous, unspoiled area with very little development, so one looks out over a large expanse of forested land on either side. There is easy access to a huge private beach and dock; kayaks and jet skis are available. With a few small exceptions, everything works, a real feat in a tropical climate! We didn’t have time to take advantage of the many extras that come with the house, but it would be ideal for an extended vacation. The staff were sweet and tremendously accommodating, helping make sure all our day trips went smoothly. We take an extended family group on vacation to a different destination every year, usually a remote place. Many times we spend a good chunk of time just solving problems with the accommodations or provisions. This didn’t happen at Vista Verde. Our requests were addressed promptly, and we were free to spend our vacation time enjoying Roatan, and the lovely people who live there, together. I would highly recommend Vista Verde due to the quality and beauty of the property, and the dedication of its owner and on-site management team.

Magical Birthday Trip

My family stayed at Vista Verde for my mom's 70th birthday celebration and had an AMAZING vacation! The house is very clean and has everything you could need and more. The staff were incredible. They provisioned the house before we arrived and were happy to pick up additional items as needed. This was the first time we had meals cooked for us on vacation, but it won't be the last. This truly allowed us enjoy the days without worrying "what are we going to have for dinner?" The food was delicious! We were taken out in the boat almost everyday to go snorkeling and this was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. The reef is truly incredible, and we all had a wonderful time swimming around and seeing all the beautiful coral and colorful fish. Another highlight was the trip to Pigeon Key to snorkel with nurse sharks and stingrays. Ana organized two days of diving for my husband and I, one at a nearby resort where they picked us up from the dock and one at Big French Key, where we had a divemaster all to ourselves! On the sand flies and I am typically a mosquito magnet; however, with a light dusting of bug spray we had no trouble with the bugs. This truly was a magical vacation, and we hope to return with more family and friends. We will be sure to plan our next stay to co-inside with mango and guava season. Though even in early October we were able to pick and enjoy some from the property. Many thanks the the Casa Vista Verde team for a wonderful week!

Absolutely amazing!!!

We were a group of 10 adults looking for a beachfront location that catered to our needs.... Well we certainly found it and then some with Casa Vista Verde!!! Where to begin.... All our dealings with Asa re booking were very professional and informative. He answered all our questions in a timely manner. Once in contact with Ana (house manager) our holiday began to take shape! All our food and beverage needs were met as they did all the groceries and most of the cooking. With a cook like Yosselin there is really no need to go elsewhere for meals. However we did take them up on some of their recommendations on local restaurants to try. And happy that we did!!! We were met at the airport by Ana and our drivers (Justin and ??) who were very helpful with all our luggage and our trip to the villa. A light snack was waiting for us at the villa upon our arrival. After a brief tour and briefing we were in the pool! Kayaks were available to us during our holiday and Neptoli and Hector were most helpful around the house and beach area. The house and the grounds were beautifully maintained and had all that was required for a group holiday. We were able to go snorkeling with pick up directly from our dock and the restaurant next door was great for afternoon bevvies!!! All in all it was a fantastic holiday and I would not hesitate to recommend Casa Vista Verde and it's wonderful staff for your next group or family holiday!

Perfect Family Vacation!

You can't go wrong with Casa Vista Verde! We stayed for a week with 4 adults and 4 University aged students. We chose this villa to stay away from the west end to capitalize on family time and not nightlife :) The villa is spacious - every room has an ensuite, which was lovely. We only used the actual villa for sleeping - as we were always outside or on the covered patio for meals, games etc. Jocelyn the cook was one of the stars of our trip - from her homemade tortillas to her steak and lobster grilling skills - she made every meal an occasion for us! Anna, the house Manager was the other star - Anna came by every day to help book activiites, restaurants, etc. We rented 8 SeaDoos from the beach and went on a 2 hour tour of the shore with a stop at Las Sirenas for lunch. Our favourite day was probably when Anna took us to Pigeon Cay on a charter boat - it was a great way to see more of Roatan from the water - and Pigeon Cay was STUNNING! Snorkelling was great there as well. OUr kids did their on line PADI course and completed their certification dives at the Dive Shop next door to the Villa. They came every morning and picked them up on the dock! We did venture out for dinner a couple of times - went to the West End to go to SunDowners one evening - but ended up next door to it at The Beach House for amazing appetizers and then on to Oasis for a fab meal! Highly recommend these places! Justin was so great - he would drive us and then wait for us - a very patient man! All in all - we fell in love with Roatan.... Casa Vista Verde and al of it's staff!! We will be back!

Exceeded Expectations

Asa's property is like having your own private resort with the wave runner, boats, kayaks, golf cart, private beach, staff, chef, access to a driver and more. And if you need something else the staff are super attentive so they will get it for you ASAP. The views from the home are exceptional and the nice ocean breeze helps to keep the grounds and house very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the house and would definitely return. The house is located away from all the cruise ship passengers which we appreciated and because Josslyn was such a great cook we chose to eat most meals at the house. Ana helped us plan an excursion to Pigeon Cay for great snorkeling and we also did some scuba diving which was awesome. The islands proximity to the reef is a huge bonus. Sayda, Neptali and Hector were also great hosts and were very friendly and professional. We were traveling with our four daughters between 9 - 14 years old and they really enjoyed the vacation and exploring the spacious grounds via golf cart. Asa definitely takes pride in his house and runs this like a business so everything is handled very professionally unlike others who rent their homes as a hobby. We also thought the total package was a good value compared to other options in the Caribbean. The house is in a relatively remote location so if you want a lot of dining or nightlife options every day it may not be the best choice, but for us we loved the privacy and the food that was prepared for breakfast, lunch and dinner was much better (and less expensive) than eating at a restaurant. The people on Roatan are very friendly and safety was never an issue for us. We would highly recommend Roatan and if you go - Asa's house is the place to stay.

Most Amazing Week at Casa Vista Verde

Our family had an amazing stay at Casa Vista Verde, and highly recommend it. The house and property are stunning! Whether you want to hang by the pool and hot tub, or head down to the beach front for some volleyball or relaxing, you can do it all here! The staff made our stay even more enjoyable, and they prepared some truly amazing meals during our vacation. It was very tough to leave! The house has all the amenities you'll need for a great stay. Bedrooms have private bathrooms and their own AC units, for your comfort at night. We had a blast using the golf cart to tour the property and sometimes saving us the short trip down the steps to the beach. Most nights we relaxed in the pool and hot tub enjoying the star-filled sky over head. One of the nights, the island lost power, but the generator at the house kicked on immediately and we didn't have any troubles. Property also comes equipped with jet skis and 4 kayaks that we put to great use. From the house, you can see the barrier reef, and we kayaked out to it on multiple occasions for some truly amazing snorkeling. It's only about a 20 minute kayak from the house, and you can drop anchor and spend hours enjoying the beautiful snorkeling right in front of the beach. Be sure to check out the deep water channels on both sides for some more amazing sights. We saw two spotted eagle rays, numerous stingrays, moray eel, tons of beautiful coral and fish, crabs, etc. Hard to beat that underwater scenery right out your front door, and the house had extra fins and snorkel gear too. Overall, it was a week filled with fun and relaxation, and wonderful to come back to Casa Vista Verde and the great staff each day. Would absolutely come back here again - Thank you!

Spectacular View but a bit misleading

The property's view was amazing. The house was nicer than average, but the square footage was smaller than expected. I think they add garage, cabana and patios into the calculation. The family room can seat 4 adults and 2 children comfortably. No more than that. The furniture is futons. The basement smells sour so it is unusable. We were charged $75 for kayak handles when we were instructed to carry kayak by the handles. The boat fell on my husbands foot! Clearly a wear and tear issue not an abuse issue. Bugs inside and outside of the house. Everyone has a different view of luxury. If you are used to the Peninsula, Four Seasons, Ritz, Mandarin this is not in the same league. Electric was $318 with no use of AC for the week. We were charged for a snorkel mask even though we counted 6 masks before we left and that was what was listed on the inventory list given to us at the beginning. Charged $6.00 for a plastic plate. $15 for an old plastic insulated cup. It's not the money it's just the nickel and diming I don't like. The fruit trees are beautiful. The beach is lots of shells and rocks not sandy. The catamaran boat was the best trip we coordinated it ourselves. The property's fishing boat was wonderful. I would suggest renting a car. You are 45 minutes from West Bay. The property has a car. They charge $15 or $20 hourly for rides + mileage. 16% tax (other properties charge 4%). The housekeeper/cook works super hard. The property sprayed outside for bugs 1 time during the week.

Hi Anne, The villa is 7600 sq ft; floor plans are available on our website. We have one folding futon couch for extra guest sleeping capacity. All wood furniture, including the other couches and chairs, are island crafted Honduran mahogany and not futons. The above-grade main floor and upstairs receive natural airflow, the below-grade media room does not. Staff now ventilates the media room daily on behalf based on your feedback. We ask guests to carry the kayaks by the handles to minimize drag wear. We also advise (per manufacturer instructions) emptying the kayaks before transport back to storage- the handle rivets simply aren’t strong enough to handle water weight. This instruction was disregarded, leading to three of four kayak handles pulling free during your use. Roatan is a tropical, mostly undeveloped island, with a consistent breeze-it's not possible to offer a completely bug-free outside experience here. Door/window screens keep bugs outside if used properly. We usually fog 2-3 times/week, while guests are off property to minimize disturbance. During your stay, it was done once while you were at the villa, and twice while you were away at dinner. We charge actual cost for electric due to the number of electrical amenities (such as walk-in refrigerator/freezer, central air, and outdoor spa) available for guest use. Billing at cost allows guests who enjoy these amenities the flexibility to do so, without penalizing those who do without. Running totals are provided upon request anytime during a guest stay. Housekeeping feedback indicates AC was used regularly during your stay, if not by you personally. You were refunded for the serving plate (located in a bedroom nightstand) prior to your comment posting; the melted cup was only three weeks old. The center third of our 900ft beach tends towards small coral and rock, we recommend water shoes there. The sides are sand, as shown on our listing and website photos. Our insurance does not cover guests driving, so vehicles are available with staff driver. We don’t charge if a guest wants a ride into town and staff is heading that way, we do charge for group transport. Guests often rent their own vehicles, and we will arrange villa dropoff/pickup upon request. The tax rate in Honduras is 16%: 12% GST, and 4% tourism tax. We operate in full compliance with the law, collecting and remitting all taxes due. Sincerely, Asa Davis, Owner

I'm from Rhode Island, and while growing up spent as much time on the water as possible! My interests include scuba diving, boating, windsurfing, sailing, and fishing - if it involves the ocean, I probably like it. After spending years searching the world for the perfect location for this project, I decided on Roatan and this location on my first visit. I feel fortunate to spend time on such a beautiful island helping create exceptional vacation memories for our guests!

Before buying, I was looking for enough space to insure guest privacy; beach, waterfront, and boating activities worth the travel; construction of the highest quality; residents and government friendly to U.S. investment and tourism; and the chance to incorporate yachting service standards in our offerings. After searching most of the Caribbean and parts of the Pacific looking for the right spot, Roatan fit the bill perfectly!
