Family Getaway to 30A

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home is very well located and we loved the modern furnishings, large floorplan for families, spacious kitchen (3 refrigerators, a large stove and 2 dishwashers). The pool is small for 20 people but our children were able to use; it was too small for all of us to use at once. The house comfortably accommodated our 20 family members. We did have some ants that RD responded quickly to. We also noted some things that needed repair (broken wire on stair rail 2nd floor, door security monitor on left French doors off kitchen keeps falling down, pavers at skimmer area in pool are markedly sinking below the others, ice machine has some mildew on inside top surface, some curtains are missing pins to hold onto rod (2nd floor bedroom and 3rd floor bedrooms - both suites). Overall, very impressed with Vitamin Sea. **They did notify us that we left some clothing and have been waiting for promised pictures so that we know how to respond for return (pair of socks that we would throw away or nice dress that we'd need to get shipped back to owners). Again, all in all, we are very satisfied with this rental. We hope to hear from the RD team soon about our clothing item.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Booked this kind of last minute for a spring break getaway for the family, and we really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and had plenty of room for all. The kitchen was well appointed and had plenty of utensils, etc. We all loved the pool (had it heated) - in fact we probably spent more time in that than at the beach. Beds were fairly comfortable. Couldn’t get much better in terms of location - very close to the beach but far enough away from the crowded resorts. There is even a new grocery store nearby now. We had a few minor issues during our stay but they were remedied quickly. Overall, we had a very positive experience with Royal Destinations and would definitely be happy to stay through them again and/or stay at the same property!***Note: As of late March 2024 there is a new house in its early construction phase going up directly across the street. Really didn’t impact us too much nor was it overly noisy but something you might want to keep in mind.

The home was great and so right for our family of 13. So good, in fact, as we enter the home my husband told me to rent for next year. Done!!!! Our Vitamin Sea Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Over all it was a great experience. There were a few things that I believe should have been taken care of before we arrived. The air conditioning did not work properly in the second floor bedroom. It was extremely hot in there all week. I did ask for a floor fan and received one. It helped to some degree. We had a problem with ants in the kitchen and some bathrooms. I called twice and both times and was brought cans of Raid. I think the property should have been treated for ants by an exterminator. One of the dishwashers did not work. It had a paper note written inside that said it didn't. I think it should have been fixed before we arrived. The first night we were there most of the fuses blew. It was fixed after we called maintenance. The house is beautiful and very clean. I would stay there again, but would talk to Royal Destinations before our arrival and make sure everything was working.

Beautiful house and great for a large group, but minor issues

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was great for a large group. It's very nice and decorated beautifully. The bedrooms were all very comfortable. The pool area was great for the kids. We loved the open concept of the kitchen and living area. The location was less than a block from the beach. And the bikes were great. Having two refrigerators was awesome. We were disappointed that one of the dishwashers was broken the entire week we were there. With a large group, 2 dishwashers was needed. We noticed ants in the kitchen and in the bathrooms. The cushions on the dining room chairs were stained along with the living room rug. This is not something you would expect in a house this expensive. The kids slept in the bunkbed room, which they loved, but this room does not have its own bathroom, so the kids had to share with the adults. We were told someone would be by to check air filters the first full day we were in the house. This could have been done while the house was being cleaned; not after we checked in. The front door was not easy to open so we decided to keep that door locked and only entered through the back door. Overall we had a great week and this house worked for us, but I'm not sure we'd stay in this particular house again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall very good experience - property was even better in person than pictured. Absolutely best design layout for a large group. Loved having bikes available for quick trips into Alys Beach & Rosemary Beach for shopping and Easter egg hunt. Pool was wonderful & well maintained - could hardly wait to dive in. Beach was beautiful and so close. Love 30A area - would highly recommend Old Florida Fish House & Black Bear Bread Co. (Santa Rosa) George's (Alys) LaCo (Seacrest) Plenty of good eats in the area. Some shortfalls - a property this size & price which caters to larger groups (families) yet NO high chair or crib is unacceptable. Should not have to spend additional dollars renting (money grab). Both are small & portable enough to store in closet. The grill was extremely dangerous!!! It hadn't been cleaned in some time and there were indications of high heat & possible fire as indicated by scorch marks on wall behind grill - needs thorough power-cleaning and temp regulation testing. Should be relocated or put fire resistant tiles on wall behind grill. Several of the pans in the kitchen showed signs of burn & had to be scoured before using. Ovens need to be recalibrated as well. Beach towels & chairs should have been provided. In spite of these distractions had a wonderful time with the entire family.

Beautiful, comfortable house

This house is wonderful, very detailed with all the things you need. Very comfortable beds, spacious bedrooms, the kitchen appliances are high end. Our family enjoyed and made great memories this weekend in this house celebrating our son’s wedding in Panama City. Thank you!

House was great. The front door is cumnbersome with the upper & lower pins. Great in theory.

Also the left hand doors going out to the pool area took some time to figure out that you have to pull up to lock them down otherwise they & right hand door come open and set off the pool alarm because the pins in the front door were not working right so the door would open & close causing a vacuum in the house that pushed the pool doors open and setting off the alarm over & over. Took us a while but finally got it figured out. Also the pool door in the hallway where the washer dryer are - the alarm is not going off there. Door wide open & no alarm. Otherwise house was great.
