Beachfront home located near Fort Travis and the Galveston / Bolivar Ferry!



The Space:

This beautiful waterfront home is located in a quiet area of the Bolivar Peninsula, uniquely situated between the only gulf-side boat launch and Fort Travis Seaside Park. Unobstructed views of the Bolivar Roads Anchorage allow you to watch the ship traffic and ferries entering the channel, as well as Galveston Island. In the mornings, you can sit out on the deck with a cup of coffee while watching the breathtaking sunrise and listening to the sounds of the waves. On the Rocks is located between Fort Travis and the North Jetty.



The open concept living/kitchen area features tasteful decor and cozy seating, as well as a smart TV (high speed internet provided for your streaming needs). The modern, well-stocked kitchen has all you need to prepare and serve meals, and you'll love the convenience of the on-site washer and dryer.



With over 1700 square feet, this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home sleeps up to 10 people. The primary bedroom features a king bed, and the remaining two bedrooms have 2 queen beds in each.



Small dogs (under 35 pounds) are allowed with a pet fee. All Swedes Real Estate vacation rentals are non-smoking properties. Swedes does not rent to guests under 25 years of age.

The homeowner does not provide linens and towels, but, if you choose, they are available upon request from our linen service (additional fee applies).

Spring Break

We had a great stay. We were at the far end of the beach. It was quiet and the kids enjoyed the big yard and being able to right in front of our house.

Location was great watching the cruise ships & commercial vessels come through. Deck was great. Inside was roomy for 5 adults. Great quiet getaway.

Other than the refrigerator and bbq pit not being completely cleaned prior to our arrival, the place was immaculate. Every item one could possibly need was provided along with a few extras. I do highly recommend getting the linen service for convenience. Lastly the location was perfect and as others mentioned, watching the passing cargo ships out in the ocean was added entertainment.

Overall, the experience was good, but paying an additional fee for bed sheets and towels was disappointing. We chose not to pay for them and brought our own instead. You will also need to bring your kitchen towels, dish soap, hand soap, trash bags, toilet paper, and paper towels. You will need some extra planning to be comfortable.

We would stay there again

Overall good. House itself is nice and clean. Good water pressure. Listing states you have to request linens. Its $125 for sheets and towels but you still have to put the sheets on the bed.. toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags not provided. Beach is small but clean and nice. A/C wasn't working at full capacity the first day but management responded immediately and it was fixed within a couple of hours. View is great and there is a small park next to the neighborhood with a historic army bunker. Gave us something extra to do when we were done at the beach. Perfect spot for families with small children.

We wasn't told the TV in the bedrooms were not working until we got there. But nonetheless we still manage to have a fun time. The house itself is very beautiful. Easy access to the beach was a major plus and the view from the balcony was outstanding.

There was 6 of us and it fit us very comfortably. Kitchen was very spacious, couch was super comfortable, and the wrap around deck was amazing!However, there were just a couple things that kept it from being 5 stars. I think they keep the power off whenever no one is staying, because there was a mildew-ish smell when we first arrived, and the fridge still wasnt cold and there was water all in the bottom of the freezer. They instruct in the cleanup to take all the trash out, but there was no trash bags. They want you to clean up all of the dishes, but there was no soap or dishwasher pods. They provided just two rolls of toilet paper for the weekend when they knew several people were coming to the house. It was kind of strange. The thing that sucked the most is we lost power for 6 hours and the property management company seemed to not care and pretty much was just like oh well.All in all, I would return back. Especially now that I know what all to bring when coming.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was cute. I didn’t not like we have to pay for liens which I knew I didn’t like how we then had to put all our liens on, the patio furniture sucks. Literally all of it. My 70 year old father went to sit down at the kitchen table and the chair just shattered into many many pieces. He is not a heavy guy at all, and it looked like it was just pieces together with glue! I talked to two women, and was told I would be contacted Monday when she spoke with the owner, well that was a week ago now. I really just wanted mainly a apology and express how lucky they were he wasn’t hurt! But all I got was well I don’t know what you want me to tell my manager.. & so he didn’t go to the hospital right? Like come on. The views were amazing the ships were cool to watch. The beach was disgusting. And people partied on it all night that’s in front of the house, go to crystal beach. We were in Galveston most of the trip for fishing. So the ferry experience was cool.

I loved seeing the glow of the ocean liners moored off the coast. It is just a quick walk to the nearly secluded beach, yet everything in Crystal Beach is a mere 10 minutes away. The house itself is very spacious and decorated cutely. I was able to prepare my Thanksgiving dishes in the large kitchen and we enjoyed our time around the huge kitchen island. We loved our Thanksgiving stay here.

Loved It!

I loved the location of this property. It's right on the end of the peninsula where one can see all the ships pass by to and from Galveston / Port of Houston. It's also within a few minutes walk of the North Jetty which also has a bate camp. I liked that it's within minutes of the Port Bolivar - Galveston ferry so I could conveniently hop over to the island at will. The unit was exceptionally clean with a nice kitchen. The huge TV is another plus. The beds and furniture were very comfortable. The deck is very large and a great place to lounge and enjoy the weather. I really can't think of a bad thing to say about the property. It seemed to have everything I needed to enjoy my stay yet not over cluttered with stuff. Swedes management were very nice and quick to respond to requests. I loved this place so much I asked to extend my stay for a couple of days and they facilitated this request within an hour. I will certainly be renting this property again in the future. I absolutely loved it!

Quick walk to the beach or jetty to fish. Couple things I didn't like. Could not get either tv in bedrooms to work(called swedes talked to a lady and they never got back with me) if I could change anything it would be getting direct tv and making sure the tvs in bedrooms work.

The patio furniture left a lot to be desired.Inconveniences:1. Having to pay extra for linens or bring your own, then having to make beds upon arrival!?!?! I was told they started this due to Covid.... I don’t think this is an excuse any more. Having to pay extra for linens, which includes everything, I.e. towel, kitchen, towels etc....Very Inconvenient and I Have Never Had To Do At Any Other Rental! 2. There was only roll of paper towels and 1 roll of toilet paper to share between 2 bathrooms. 3. You have to drive an additional 10/15 minutes to pick up and return key, even though there is a lock box on deck. The property is only a couple minutes right off of ferry. Having to travel 10/15 minutes past the property and then turn around and go back that direction is a little annoying.

Relaxing Getaway

Aside from the AC issues on the first 24hrs. our stay was amazing. I would definitely recommend this rental for my friends and family. The home was clean, gorgeous, and the views were beautiful. They responded promptly to our AC problem and made a generous offer to adjust our price due to the inconvenience it caused us.

perfect house i ever had

really good place.the house so much clean. but can not use the wifi,not strong enough.need 1 hammock and more chair like the house next to us...anyway all things is perfect for vacation.will me back.😃
