Amazing oceanfront condo

We've lost count how many times we stayed at this condo and hope to continue coming back. Fantastic location right next to the ocean with waves breaking right next to the unit. Great, super well managed property with beautiful grounds, The unit itself has everything that may be needed for an amazing vacation in Hawaii. And the most The best part is absolutely amazing hosts. So grateful for your hospitality - looking forward to coming back!

Amazing view

Great view, great location and great price! Loved hearing the waves crashing from the bed! The only downside was we only stayed 8 days :( Highly recommend to anyone.

This extremely well situated condo gives you the answer to a peaceful and beautiful vacation!

This was our second vacation spent in this wonderful condo. It is equipped with everything you could need. Nature provides the rest, the sounds, the occasional rain, and peace. We’ll be going back again next year.

Great ocean front location

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. it was clean, and well stocked with kitchen items, the bed was comfortable, and we loved hearing the ocean waves at night. There is a new 65" TV in the Living Room. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony was watching the waves hitting the lava rocks and reading. There were lots of beach chairs and beach toys which was really nice. This is a second floor unit without an elevator, so that might be a problem for some. The owner is very responsive and helpful when we had questions. We will be back.

Peaceful area, stunning ocean view from balcony, plenty of space for luggage and laundry in-house. Very detailed prep notes, so that there was no issue entering the property and finding the apartment - even with a jet lag.

Love this Kona Makai condo

We've stayed in this unit a number of times and love coming back. The location, the unit itself and the hosts are all amazing. Seeing the dolphins and waves from the balcony is very special. The new TV, washer and drier and anything might need for a relaxing vacation. Thank you!

Great Condo w/extras

Wonderful stay. Open bedroom windows and hear the crashing waves all night long, ahhh💤💤 Beautiful view from the deck watching pods of Dolphins & sunsets. Close to downtown but not to close. Well stocked with snorkel gear, chairs, and umbrellas. Kitchen well stocked, furniture, and bed comfortable.

Better than the pictures!

This place is absolutely fantastic! It is so well equipped with all kinds of helpful things for your stay from Boogie Boards to Umbrellas. The location is great. Complex is secure, clean and quiet. The position of the unit allows you to watch the sunset as well as hear the ocean all night long. We will definitely be back!

Awesome Condo Great Views

Clean, comfortable, great location, tranquil and quiet! Responsive owner to any questions or issues. Lanai views and sunsets are beautiful. Another incredible view of the ocean from bedroom window. A/C in bedroom and living kept the place cool when needed. Would gladly stay there again!

The condo was fantastic. Spotless! Most comfortable bed ever. The unit is large and very well supplied. Close to everything. A beach on both sides of the unit. Wonderful!

Magical!

Jon and Suzanne's property is absolutely magical! The location on the Kona Coast with waves pounding as you sleep, wonderful mornings on the lanai sipping coffee, the close proximity to hiking, snorkeling, beautiful beaches...all make this a favorite! Add to that gracious hosts who supply the condo with everything you will need. Mahalo Jon and Suzanne for another wonderful Hawaii experience!

We’ve stayed in this complex twice before. The words will never fully describe what an excellent condo this is. All amenities were present and the sounds of the ocean from the lanai and the windows from the bedroom were peaceful and gave us more than we could have anticipated. P

Even better than it looks!

We knew the view from the lanai was going to be wonderful, but we did not know that we could see & hear the Pacific from the other side of the condo right over our king-size bed. The grounds at this condo building are beautifull and very well maintained. .We enjoyed the pool, chaise lounges with umbrellas, the hot tub, and clean community grills during sunset visits with the neighbors. The condo is well stocked, has a large kitchen and bath, and fantastic beach supplies!

Great condo in Kona area

Fantastic experience end to end...... My wife and I (Mid 50's) spent a few days in the Kailua-Kona area and stayed in Jon's condo on the water. The unit is in great shape, well stocked, close to attractions and best of all, the lanai over looking the water offers up a perpetual array of water crashing into the lava rock and evening sunset views over the water. We were extremely pleased with our stay. Topping things off, Jon does a great job with communicating. The instructions he provides are super clear and he is very quick to respond to questions. We would most definitely stay here again if we make our way back to the big island!!

Great value with lots of Pluses

We just finished a week at the condo in Kona Makai. What a great spot. A super water view and close to the pool and outdoor grilling station. The public areas were so well maintained. The condo was fabulous, the cross ventilation with the windows open made the A/C unnecessary. I wasn't ready for being lulled to sleep by the waves outside our bedroom---fantastic. The property had everything we needed in the kitchen and bath, plus fun water toys, coolers and beach chairs. We will be back!!!

Who owns 1-202? We are a family of 4 who love Hawaii. The kids have amazing memories of the black crabs, the honu, the surf, and Kilauea. When we are not on the Big Island, we are happy to welcome guests to Kona Makai. 2021 is our 16th year renting to guests, and we are proud to have so many return guests year after year.
