Relaxing place to escape the cold North

Nice property. In historic Old Savannah. Close to shops, bars, restaurants, historic houses, museums. All within easy walking distance. We loved Savannah Coffee Roasters and Ye Olde Pink House.

Location! Location! Location. Everything in oh so historic Savannah was in walking distance. Less than a half hour walk to River street, Forsyth Park around the corner. We loved the area. The only drawback was the lack of parking. We left our car in an off site long term parking facility for 3 weeks. No problem. One just needs to plan for it.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the unbeatable location and were able to walk to so many of Savannah’s historic highlights — from River Street to beautiful Forsyth Park just around the corner. It’s truly a special area, and we’re glad you loved it as much as we do. We appreciate you mentioning the parking situation. The home is advertised as having no free parking, and the street parking immediately around the apartment is metered. There is some free parking available about six short Savannah blocks away, but it does require a bit of planning, especially for longer stays. It sounds like your long-term parking solution worked well, and we appreciate you sharing that insight for future guests.

Centrally located a plus, but street noisy

The location is perfect being just a 15 minute walk North to Forsyth Park and a 15 minute walk South to downtown, The Market and River street. And beautiful Squares (small parks) minutes away. The downside to the location was that it is right on a busy main street which was quite noisy. In addition, the master bedroom bed sagged .

This unit is down in the middle of the Historic District. If you are adverse to traffic or city life noise we do suggest you book an apartment outside of the downtown area. We were unaware of the issue with the bed and will have it fixed. Mattresses on the beds are only 2 years old.

Great location and big space!

We stayed at this property for 3 months in the fall and it was perfect! All the amenities we needed, great location, great wifi to work remotely. The apartment is 2 bed 1 bath with an open concept kitchen, living, and dining room, so there was plenty of space.

Mint Julep Vacation Rentals is a small, family-owned business rooted right here in Savannah. We focus exclusively on properties in Savannah and Tybee Island because this is our home, not just a market. We’ve each lived in Savannah for over 20 years and still live here today—working, playing, and spending our time downtown—so sharing this city comes naturally to us. We decided to rent our first home as a vacation rental because we wanted guests to experience Downtown Savannah the same way we do. When you stay with us, you’re not supporting distant corporate investors—you’re supporting a local family that truly cares about the homes we manage and the guests we welcome, offering personal service and genuine coastal Southern hospitality.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

We chose the Savannah Historic District because it’s the heart and soul of the city. It’s where Savannah’s history, architecture, food, and culture all come together, and where we personally spend much of our time. From strolling under the oak trees to walking to local restaurants, parks, and shops, this neighborhood offers the true Savannah experience. We wanted our guests to be able to step outside and immediately feel the charm, beauty, and walkability that make Savannah so special.

この宿泊施設の特徴

Our home is thoughtfully decorated to be comfortable and welcoming for you and your family or friends. The living space is designed for relaxing and spending time together, whether that means gathering to chat or stretching out to watch a movie. We want you to truly unwind while you’re here—kick back, get cozy, and make yourself at home.
