Beautiful Lake House with 5500 sq ft on 11 wooded acres and private lake. Minutes to 4 major ski resorts. Perfect for family reunions or large groups.

Beautiful loft overlooking the main living area, with views of the gorgeous Burnt Meadow lake.

After a fun day of skiing, swimming or exploring everything Vermont has to offer, relax in the spacious new outdoor hot tub overlooking the lake all the while enjoying gorgeous views of the lake and alpine mountains! Then look forward to fine dining in one of many excellent restaurants in Manchester or BBQing on the brand new patio - the choice is yours!

After dinner go to the patio with its built in fire pit to roast marshmallows with kids, or fire up the wood burning stove and enjoy your companions by the fire.

The beautiful town of Peru

The house is located on a private secluded 11 acre wooded estate in the picturesque village of Peru, Vermont in the middle of Green Mountain National Forest.

In the winter enjoy skiing in nearby resorts of Bromley, Magic, Stratton and Okemo. Bromley Mountain, only 5 minutes away, is great for kids as well as for novice and intermediate skiers. It is so close, you can come back to the house for lunch and then back to the mountain. Two excellent x-country skiing centers, Wild Wings and Viking Nordic, are less than 10 minutes away. There are also options for snowmobiling.

If this is not enough, Manchester and its surrounding areas offer several unique and unforgettable sleigh ride experiences, including dogsledding.

In the summer enjoy numerous hiking or cycling opportunities nearby. Bromley Sun Mountain Summer Park offers family adventures for the whole day of fun including New England’s longest zipline, Vermont’s longest water-slide raft ride, America’s longest triple-track Alpine Slide, climbing walls, mini-golf and much more.

An Appalachian Trail Entrance is only a 5 minute drive from the house.

The historic town of Manchester is only 15 minutes away. There you can enjoy many fine restaurants. You may also visit the highly rated Equinox Golf Resort and Spa in the center of town which offers a wide range of activities:

One of the best places I ever stayed. We had a great family trip here with 10 family members. Incredible view of the stars at night, and a nice space to enjoy during the day! We loved the beach area, the lake and the kayaks. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a good summer get away from the city life!

Our group very much enjoyed our week long stay in Peru, VT. The house was stunning with plenty of room for all of us. Everything you need is right there. The kids especially loved the water trampoline, kayaks and paddle boards. We had several fires at the fire pit making s'mores and greatly enjoyed the hot tub. Seeing all the stars at night without the city light interference was amazing! Patrick is a thoughtful host wanting to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

I can't recommend this place enough! We loved staying in Peru. This house has everything you need. We loved having easy access to the lake when we just wanted to relax at the house for the day. The house also had a sauna and gym. We loved being so close to Manchester if we wanted to go out to dinner/shops. Great options for hiking at Bromley were just a short drive away as well. The house itself was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Plenty of room in the kitchen and living spaces for a large group. Check in process was smooth. I would absolutely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful place. The house offered so many amenities that every member of our group wants to return. We spent hours swimming in the lake. Had evening fires at the outdoor pit. We star gazed from the hot tub at night. There were enough bedrooms that everyone had plenty of space. The kitchen was well stocked and we could easily prepare group meals. The great room offered plenty of seating for our group. This was one of our favorite places and definitely plan on returning. The proximity to Manchester was also a plus. Some days we enjoyed dinner in town at one of many restaurants. Thai Basil was a reasonably priced favorite. The pancakes at Up For Breakfast were worth the wait.

This house is gorgeous and perfect for a large group. There are spacious living areas and we really enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. Peru is located close to Manchester which has a ton to offer. Would definitely vacation here again!

Patrick was readily available for questions and information. He was very pleasant in all our communications. The house was absolutely gorgeous with plenty of well appointed space. Our group had a wonderful time and enjoyed all the amenities. The house location was convenient to several mountains and the lively town of Manchester. I would definitely stay there again.

Delightful property.The floor plan is excellent. Bedrooms are on three levels, spreading out the noise and giving everyone privacy. The kitchen table has 2 benches that seat 6 and 3 more stools at the island. The dining room table has 7 chairs, but you can move a kitchen bench to one side of the table and seat 10 easily.The setting is beautiful with nice flowers and flowering shrubs, a fine patio, and a private pond. There is a little noise from the road on the other side of the woods on the far side of the pond, but it was slight and not a problem. The pond is peaceful and enjoyable to paddle about with the kayaks and paddle boards included in the rental. There is a water trampoline that our 4 teenage grandchildren greatly enjoyed. The site is near many hikes of various difficulty, including the Appalachian Trail (5 minutes away). There are several natural areas and state parks nearby, and Peru is surrounded by the Green Mountain National Forest. Several waterfalls are near, including the outstanding Lye Brook Falls, one of the best I have seen. Vermont Route 100 is close. It is a scenic road and passes through many picturesque towns that look as if we are still in the mid-20th century. The countryside looks like the 19th century. If you like outdoor activities, this is a good place to rent.The owner is very easy to deal with. He responds promptly to emails. He keeps the property in excellent condition.Highly recommended.

Great Swimming and Family Time

Such a comfortable home and property! It was the perfect place to celebrate the 4th with family and friends. Loved the private pond that was delightful for swimming. Teenagers enjoyed the games and hot tub. Patrick, the host, responded quickly to texts and was very helpful. We definitely want to come back!

Great stay!!

Pat was so accommodating and the house was super cozy and clean. Short drive to Bromley where we were skiing for the weekend. The kids loved the hot tub too!! We will be back!!!

Great stay

Had a lovely stay at Patrick’s place. Our group was celebrating a family birthday and had enough room to both gather and have our individual spaces when needed. House was well stocked, clean, and private. Patrick was great with communicating, both before and during our stay.

We had an unforgettable time at this house in Peru. We had 4 families and there was so much room. We ranged from 8-55 and we were all happy with the accommodations and amenities. The gym and sauna was amazing along with the basement filled with a pool table and air hockey. The adults enjoyed sitting in the hot tub while it snowed outside. Everything was very clean and the kitchen had everything you needed. The beds and pillows were very comfy and we all felt right at home. Communication with the owner and caretaker was super easy and they got back to us within moments. I highly recommend this house for anyone looking to ski Okemo, Bromley, Stratton, or Magic. We cant wait to go back and see it in the summer time.

Unbelievable Space

Absolutely loved this house. My family and I had a great time. The place is gorgeous, spacious and well maintained. The shoulder jets on the hot tub were amazing. The owner was great, easy to deal with and very responsive. We are going to stay here again.

Great place to be with family

The house was great, all the amenities were as described (plus an extra kayak and a treadmill!). We enjoyed the lake, the fire pit, grills, hot tub especially, the large kitchen, etc. Having room for everyone was great. We could have used a couple of extra chairs in the dining room and some additional hand towels and utensils but overall we had a great vacation.

Wonderful property, fantastic host, didn't want to leave.

This house is georgous is all I can say. It is huge to accommodate lots of people to be comfortable. It has everything you need to make a vacation tremendous and the host was super responsibe. I can't say enough about this property and host. I will definitely return. Our group of 11 loved it.

Family Birthday Celebration

We had lovely time at the property. We celebrated a special birthday with eleven adults and five children, had s'mores at the fire pit and a dance party in the basement area. Young adults liked being able to work out and the infrared sauna was wonderful! We paddle boarded and kayaked around in the lake/pond. Great place for a reunion!

Fun summer getaway

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. The house is spacious and easily handled our family of 10. The variety of equipment provided delighted the kids, especially the hot tub. Patrick was very responsive to questions both before and during our stay. The lake is private and peaceful which we found attractive and well-suited to the kids. Adults seeking longer kayak outings might prefer a larger lake.

Home away from home!

Everything we could ask for & a beautiful view! Just as pictured! We stayed with our kids & 4 grandkids (ages 6 mo to 3 years old) & none of us wanted to go home! Conveniently located with a short drive to restaurants & shopping. Arrived at the perfect time to see all the beautiful fall colors! Would definitely rent again! Great summer getaway

This house comfortably fit our family of 12 people which included kids, adults, and grandparents. Kayaking on the pond was lots of fun especially for this kids, and they also loved making s'mores at the fire pit. The house was clean, well stocked, and comfortable. The location is also great...minutes away from Bromley mountain (kids loved the Alpine slide and treetop adventures). It's also close to Manchester where our family did a lot of shopping. The owner (Patrick) was friendly and prompt in his responses to any questions. He also provided a great list of local activities to consider. We would definitely consider coming back in the future!

Family lake vacation perfection

What a lovely surprise this lake was! We knew it was swimmable from the post/owner but it was even better than we could have expected to swim, float and paddle/kayak. We spent as much time as the sun would allow on the lake and in the evenings could fit all12 of us comfortably around the fire pit for smore's and to watch for shooting stars - the sky looks as big as Montana in the dark with so little surrounding light. The hot tub was great for the chilly nights. The house was really well stocked with toiletries and appliances. Not having to bring sheets and towels was amazing. Recommendations: 1. Stratton Mountain group gondola tickets with packed coolers for lunch and then easy all ages hike to climb the fire tower at the top. (we just left our coolers by the picnic tables) 2. If you have younger kids, highly recommend splurging for the full day at Bromley Action Park. 3. Stratton yoga on Sat/Sun mornings on the top of the mountain. 4. We had a private yoga instructor come to the house two mornings for family yoga. 5. Private dining room at Johnny Seesaws for Thurs night Prime Rib night. 6. JJ Hapgoods for pizza and to sit outside with games 7. Grandma Miller's Pies & Pastries and coffee shops in Londonderry *Note: House sleeps PLENTY - if you are planning specific bedrooms for kids, one photo shows a room with a bunk bed and then a twin next to it - this room no longer has a bunk bed, just the two twins so go by description of rooms listed and not the photos.

We stayed at Patrick's home with three generations and the space was perfect for everyone. Lots of very comfortable bedrooms and living spaces and large eat in kitchen allowed for fun family meals. The grandkids and adults loved the games in the lower level. The kayaks and paddle board as well as the floating trampoline were enjoyed by all of us. Lots of great hiking nearby. There is convenient shopping and farm stands to get local fruits and veggies. All in all an outstanding vacation.

The setting is gorgeous, the room layout is comfortable with plenty of bedrooms, multiple cozy spots for visiting and kitchen decked with plenty of cookware and dishes for about as many people as you'd want to feed. The host couldn't have been more helpful.The location is great. Peru itself is charming - 3 building all together in the "center oif town" and about 20 minutes outside of Manchester which has a great farmers' market, interesting restaurants and shops and access to wonderful hikes on the Appalachian Trail. The entire experience was lovely

My home is just a few minutes from Manchester shopping center and right in the foot of Bromley Mountain. It has its own private lake. My home is centrally located between the four mountains of Stratton, Okemo, Bromley and Magic, its also close to horseback riding, snowmobiling, Manchester shopping, the artist community of Chester, as well as the Weston Playhouse.
