In the winter of 2020, the current owners purchased the home, the stream and waterfall and the meadow adjoining the property. Because the structure had been vacant for a number of years, it was in disarray and in great need of repair. The meadow was grown up with thorns and weeds. The creek held remnants of fallen trees from storm damage.
In April 2020, a local contractor was hired to carry out an extensive renovation. Several months later, the renovation was complete. The structure was turned around to face the waterfall, walls were removed, a beautiful master suite was created, an expansive deck was added, and a striking navy blue was selected for the exterior.

This newly completely renovated cottage offers the best of both indoor and outdoor luxury. Whether you enjoy a meal on the deck, read on the covered porch or explore the creek on one of its two beaches, you'll see and hear the beautiful sights and sounds of rushing water. And if the indoors is more your thing, you'll find fast wifi and two TVs and new, comfortable and beautiful furnishings. The master suite has a queen bed and full bathroom. Second bedroom features twin bunkbeds with an additional trundle bed. A single cot is also provided. Second full bath is easily accessed from the living room. Kitchen is well-appointed (including a Keurig coffeemaker) for cooking. Washer/Dryer is provided in the cottage. We follow enhanced cleaning and sanitation protocols.

This mini mountain retreat is 16 minutes to downtown Hendersonville and Brevard, NC. Both towns offer unique dining, shopping and recreation experiences. Also less than 20 minutes to DuPont State Forest and Pisgah National Forest. The nearest grocery store and several dining options are 5 minutes from the cottage. Etowah Valley Golf Club is four minutes away. It is also 18 minutes to the Asheville Airport and 35 to 40 minutes to the Biltmore Estate and downtown Asheville.
