Elegant "bourgeois" residence steeped in history from 1906, peacefully located on a vast natural plot of 2 hectares nestled on the banks of the Doubs, a paradise for kayakers, a fishing site renowned for its famous catfish, pike-perch and carp (here you have the rare privilege of a private fishing "spot" directly accessible from the garden) & a remarkable ecosystem partly classified as a "Natura 2000 Zone", for its exceptional ornithological reserve rich in 160 species and its very rare plant varieties. Total tranquility on the edge of a lane, a stone's throw from an 11th century Romanesque church, in the heart of a peaceful little rural village. Nestled in the heart of a beautiful, preserved rural and natural environment of hedged and agricultural plains, Pontoux has the particularity of having owned the last floating mill on the Doubs (probably one of the very last mills of this type in France) & has a 27 ha pond in a protected site, an exceptional sensitive natural area unique in Burgundy, classified as a "Natura 2000 Zone" (nesting of numerous birds with more than 130 species recorded including one of the largest colonies of black-crowned night herons in Saône-et-Loire) with a dedicated educational trail (to be discovered discreetly...). Warm country character with a "vintage" spirit mixed with contemporary touches. An exotic atmosphere worthy of an old "family home".
