Relax in hot tub after a full day of shopping & eating goodie food in downtown BR or sit in front of the stone fireplace w/a nice beverage! You will fall in love w/this pet (mature, trained) friendly cozy cottage! Please note stays of 9 days or longer the cleaning fee will increase. Great Mountain Experience

Grapevine Cottage is a genuine mountain cottage, not a spec builder's 2020 reproduction. It is cozy and well furnished. The owner has done an incredible job of adding modern conveniences such as Jacuzzi bathtub, outdoor hot tub, dishwasher, microwave, etc. without detracting from the cozy cottage ambience. The weather was terrible, so we spent a lot of time in front of the fireplace watching TV, playing board games, or reading. It was very relaxing and peaceful. There were starter supplies for toiletries, dishwasher soap and other necessities. I had a question for the owner, and she responded immediately and was extremely accommodating regarding my request. Grapevine Cottage was the perfect little cabin for our getaway.

Better than most

We have stayed at a number of places around the Blowing Rock area over the past 10 years, and all of them have plusses and minuses. When we arrived, the house had not been cleaned. However, upon contacting the agent/owner, a cleaning team was sent within 30 minutes, and they thoroughly cleaned the house. The WiFi cut off promptly at 10PM every night. The TV ran off the WiFi, so there was no TV between 10PM and 8AM every day, and there was no reliable cell service without it. We were told that the cable company was doing work on the system, and that this was a temporary situation. Speaking of TV, it is connected to ROKU, which has a large selection of FOX stations and not much else. You can get a decent selection of movies, but they all come with loads of commercials. Bring some DVDs with you if you plan to watch any TV. On the positive side, the house is well maintained, the kitchen was adequately stocked with utensils, pots and pans, glasses and china. There was a nice selection of spices and herbs. All the major appliances were clean and in good condition, which is not always the case in rentals. The master bathroom was excellent, with two sinks and a jacuzzi. The hot tub is great, and even though there is a house right next door, the tub is located on a deck behind the house, that is reasonably secluded. The neighborhood is quiet, surrounded by woods, and yet it is only a few minutes from downtown Blowing Rock, and the Parkway.

Cute cottage

Overall a very nice stay. Well stocked with everything we needed. Disappointed in dirty outdoor furniture(could not use). Also, the cottage needs more lighting(too dark). This is out of your control, but we feel we should say there was a nearby cabin occupant/owner who lets their dog wander off leash and it spent quite a bit of time outside our cottage to do its business. We enjoyed our stay and felt very relaxed with all the amenities. Thank you.

Quiet respite

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying in this quiet setting while attending to many wedding activities for our son’s wedding. This was the perfect location to get away from all of the hustle and bustle during the week.

Great secluded mountain cabin 1 mile from Blowing Rock.

Cozy mountain getaway in great condition. 1 mile to Blowing Rock. Gas fireplace. Very clean. Comfortable king-size bed in master. Hot tub on a private deck.

R & R in Blowing Rock

Couldn’t ask for a more cozy, quiet and relaxing place to stay. It’s location is close to shopping and yet away far e ought to feel the mountain effect. It was wonderful to use the hot tub at night and sleep in peace afterward.. We can’t wait to come back next year..

Clean and very cozy! The house was stocked with anything you would need especially in the kitchen and the property owner was very nice. My kids loved the hot tub and the private back patio. Thanks for sharing your property!

Bliss in Blowing Rock

Cozy mountain cabin was perfect for a fall getaway! Enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub on the cook fall nights, and close to the cute mountain town of Blowing Rock to explore. The owner clearly takes great care of the place with seasonal decorations, well stocked kitchen and plenty of instructions to make the stay comfortable and easy. We will be back!

Blowing Rock

The Kitchen was well equipped ,, first time to eat off of plastic dishes. To each his own.. The living room couch and recliner has seen many better days. Consequently we watched the coronation sitting at the table. Outside furniture also old. Bedroom was fine as well as bathroom. For our next trip to the area we will book as we have done before using a site that is rental by owner.. Not VRBO We never spoke to any property manager.

Cozy cabin close to everything!

We absolutely loved the location and coziness of this house. The hot tub was very relaxing. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay.

Perfect little cottage

This place is even cuter than the pictures! We had everything we needed and there were so many extra little touches that made the stay amazing. My 16 yo and 6 yo loved it!

Cottage was as advertised.

Well decorated inside. Comfortable. Driveway was washed-out on one side making it difficult to navigate. Roads leading to cottage are all gravel/sand and affected by rain.

Perfect Stay

My friend/family usually get together every summer in Beech Mountain mainly due to cool weather. Tried Blowing Rock first time this year and cool weather just as good minus the very curvy mountain roads. The house itself had everything for our group who enjoys leisurely morning breakfasts/chats that don’t end until almost noon. The house and kitchen were more than one could want for us who spent all but about four hours a day in the house. I have significant mobility issues yet could still manage hot tub and jetted tub in master bathroom. Did have a bit of difficulty getting to fire pit with a mobility walker but got to it and enjoyed my first smores in my 79 years of life. Little things like easy to operate windows and the great recliner chair added to our total enjoyment. As for communication, text questions were answered within minutes. I cannot recommend this rental enough. Lisa is a Premier + host.

Pictures don’t do it any justice

Cute get away just a couple miles from Blowing Rock. Property is really nice and feels like home. Hot tub and patio lights were perfect for relaxing. Beds were very cozy as I passed out immediately. Firewood and fixings to make smores was a nice touch! Food Lion was close by. Caution if you are driving a low profile sports car. The gravel road and driveway were not passable for me.

Blowing Rock Cottage

We enjoyed our stay very much, and would return if in the area. We drive a 4 Runner which was helpful since the private road was fairly rough.
