Compass Rose is a 100-Year-Old Quintessential Maine 3 Bedroom cottage with thoughtful modern updates, spectacular ocean front views, a private deep-water dock and float. Wake up to the most incredible sunrises over Linekin Bay. Enjoy the large open and partially covered deck with expansive views to Linekin Bay, Cabbage Island, the open ocean and beyond! Kids can enjoy the small, shared beach area next to the house to swim between mid and high tide and collect shells and sea glass at low tide. Activities and amenities to enjoy from your own private deep-water dock include the following for the whole family:

* 1 Tandem Kayak (Hobie Sit on Top Kayak)
* 2 Paddle Boards
* Fishing Gear for All
* Lilly Pad for the kid's enjoyment

Compass Rose is just 1.2 miles away from Boothbay Harbor Center where there is an abundance of shops, restaurants, fishing charters, harbor cruises, sailing charters, whale watches, day trips to Monhegan Island and more! Enjoy hiking trails and two beautiful parks all within walking distance from the Cottage. Boothbay Botanical Gardens is a must visit for the whole family when taking in all of what the Boothbay Region has to offer. Linekin Bay Resort is just a stone's throw from the Cottage which offers an amazing restaurant, outdoor bar and grill that with excellent food and live music.

This comfortable, cozy cottage boasts a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to make a great meal when the view is just too good to leave! Dine indoors or out and enjoy the comfortable living room with tastefully updated coastal furniture. The Cottage has a fast Wi-Fi and a Smart TV to enjoy all of the comforts of home, but don't forget about the classic board games for the whole family to enjoy. We loved our visit to Matt's cottage on Linekin Bay! The ocean views were fabulous, the cottage was lovely, and the location was ideal. We enjoyed walking to Boothbay Harbor and Linekin Bay Resort and loved spending time on the beautiful cottage porch. It was a wonderful experience.

Beautiful Location

We loved staying at this beautifully decorated cottage. The view was beautiful, and we loved watching the tide come in and out. We had everything we needed and would love to stay again!

Quintessential New England Getaway

The Compass Rose cottage provided a quaint family seaside getaway with beautiful coastal views. The dock was perfect for swimming & fishing. Owners Matt & Jen were very responsive to any issues and made great recommendations for things to do in the area. The neighborhood was great for taking strolls & central to fun areas to explore all around Boothbay Harbor. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Cottage was large and quaint. The hosts thought of everything. Two kayaks & life-jackets are there for use. The kitchen is fully stocked for meal prep and dining. Spectacular views from the living room primary bedroom. This seems the best place in all of Boothbay Harbor.

Lovely family time stay!

Loved the quaint cottage feel! Fishing off the dock was a huge hit, especially in rainy and cloudy weather. Beautiful spot. Would highly recommend this place!

Perfect porch!

We had the most relaxing and peaceful time at the cottage, just sitting in the porch watching the lobster boats right in front of you was wonderful! What spectacular views. The resort next door was fabulous to have access to.

Another great visit to Boothbay

We just wrapped another great stay at this cozy, charming summer cottage on Linekin Bay. The view from the deck is fantastic and Jen And Matt have arranged for everything a small group or family needs to enjoy a coastal Maine vacation. Access to the Linekin Bay Resort, just a few steps down the road, is a huge plus and provides the best of both worlds — all the amenities of the resort, including the restaurant and bar, and your own private space and deck and dock.

Great time

We had a great time. The view is outstanding. Stay was very relaxing simply hanging on the deck and dock. The water was cold, but we managed to swim. Used kayaks from Linekin Bay and took a puffin cruise. Loved the area!

Cute cottage, great location

My family of six stayed in this cute cottage for a long weekend in June. It has a great patio and dock. The access to Linekin resort is really nice. We used the pool, kayaks, and restaurant. The cottage is also a very short drive to town. The owners were easy to communicate with. I’d definitely recommend this place others.

Oceanfront Cottage Happiness

We recently stayed at this property for a week, had a wonderful and memorial experience. The host was great with correspondence, the house was clean and had everything you'd could need. The history of the house that was provided was interesting and there was a well provided guide of where to eat, things to do and more. Our sons enjoyed fishing off the dock and catching mackerel. Access to Linekin Bay Resort was a big plus too! I would highly recommend this property.

Beautifully decorated old style cottage on the water Comfortable, cozy and stylish Maine decor

So close to the sea, breathtaking from the sunrises to the star-filled night sky, abundant with nature and an ever changing view. Mackerel fishing off the dock, happy hour at sunset on the comfortable deck! Love it! The kitchen is a bit too tiny but who cares?

Classic Maine cottage in Boothbay

The view from the deck is priceless and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our 3 kids. Access to the Linekin Bay Resort makes this a great combo -- a classic and private cottage on the water yet only steps away from all the amenities and restaurant of the resort. Matt was very responsive prior to and during the week and we didn't have any issues.

Perfect getaway

The Messer family thought of every detail. The house was clean, well organized and perfectly located on the water and within walking distance of town. We had a wonderful time snuggling up with a book by the fireplace, going to the botanical gardens, fishing off the dock, and playing lots of games. They were wonderful hosts and we look forward to visiting again soon.

A wonderful time

We had a wonderful week at The Compass Rose Cottage!! The cottage is exactly as pictured, so charming, spotlessly clean and had everything we could possibly need for a week in Maine. The location is perfect, everything we wanted to do and see was 5 minutes away. You can't beat the view from the deck. The owners were extremely helpful and easy to reach. Having access to the neighboring resort was a great bonus. Thanks again
