This peaceful village house offers a relaxing holiday for the whole family. The 80 m² renovated and air-conditioned accommodation is in the center of Marseillan a few minutes walk from the port, shops and the edge of the Etang de Thau and only 20 minutes by bike from the beaches.
The house is comfortable, its typical "tropezienne" terrace at the level of the living room and its vast garage have made it a rare place of residence.

Lovely house in old Marseillan

A lovely house in the old part of Marseillan. Very comfortable and well-equipped with a great outdoor area and garage. There was a good set of bikes as well. Excellent oversll. Thanks.

Good. Location in a lovely old part of the town. Close to shops and restaurants. Comfortable beds. Clean linen. Plenty of towels. Huge garage. Great laundry facilities. Dishwasher. Small outside dining area. Not so good. Living area access via a steep, winding flight of 19 concrete steps. No mention of this previously. We found them extremely difficult. The key repeatedly stuck in the lock despite Yasmina and her WD40. Also lock is very close to wall and turning the key is difficult for larger hands. The outside space had only a view of dead plants and discarded plastic bottles on the adjoining roof. The bathroom mirror was the only one suitable for shaving, makeup, hair-drying. If four people are using the house it would be very difficult for them to get ready. Mirrors in the bedrooms would help. The bathroom could have been cleaner, so I cleaned it. The back bedroom requires the occupants to bend most of the time. There is no air-con in here and having a window in the highest part of the ceiling meant it was difficult to open. The lack of wardrobe hanging space was a problem. Nowhere for longer dresses/raincoats etc. The air-con in the living room doesn’t work properly. It stuck at 24C which made the room too hot. It would not switch off. We had to buy scissors, a decent corkscrew, and a charging cable for the lamps. The lights under the kitchen cabinets didn’t work despite us buying new batteries.

We have taken careful note of your detailed report and will continue to make improvements. However, I would like to clarify one important point: we made sure to explicitly state in the listing description that "our house is not suitable for people who have difficulty with stairs." Many typical homes in the village center feature this type of somewhat steep staircase to access the Tropezian terraces, so this shouldn't have come as a surprise. I also regret not asking for a little understanding regarding the bamboo plants on the terrace; they were replanted in the spring but, despite the automatic watering system, did not survive the summer heatwave. Admittedly, the view is less lush at the end of the season, and we apologize for that. We plan to replace them with different plant varieties. Just so you know, the full plastic bottles on the roof haven't been "abandoned"; they serve as a cat deterrent to spare you from having to deal with... droppings.

Un excellent séjour dans un village très accueillant

Nous avons choisi cette maison de village très bien située près du centre de Marseillan pour faire des promenades à vélo. La météo était idéale pour cette activité. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le grand garage pour la voiture et pour stocker nos vélos.Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié le calme, la terrasse et la climatisation.La location correspondait parfaitement à la description et à nos attentes.Nous avons passé un séjour vraiment très agréable. Si l'occasion se présente nous serions très heureux de renouveler cette expérience.Marc et Solange

Maison de village charmante et confortable

Nous avons découvert une charmante maison de village dans les petites ruelles pleines de charmes de Marseillan ville. Nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous (maison bien équipée) et avons fait de belles découvertes grâce au document d'accueil fourni par Laurence et Jean-Marc. La maison est équipée pour les enfants (pot et réhausseur pour notre fils de 3 ans; jeux) et nous avons même pu utiliser les vélos à disposition dans le garage pour nos balades. Nous avons bien profité de la terrasse qui est à l'abris des regards et ombragée (store banne). Nous recommandons vraiment cette location et remercions les propriétaires (qui débutent dans la location) pour leur excellents accueil et gestion.
