This private cottage sleeps up to 4 adults and 3 children with one queen bed, a double/single bunk bed FOR CHILDREN and a sleeper sofa. The well-equipped kitchen supports a range of meal-prep skills for dining in or taking out to the wrap-around deck with grill, and views through the trees to the lake. A shared dock and raft supports water sports from swimming to fishing and boating, with views of Mt. Sunapee. A Smart-TV and WiFi will keep you connected, along with puzzles and games for the kids. A full range of services and recreational opportunities are available in the surrounding towns of Sunapee, Newport and New London.

Great cottage with everything!

We loved this property, it had everything we needed and more. The kitchen was fully stocked with all cooking utensils, pots and pans, the bed and the couch was very comfortable, and the fenced area for our dogs was very appreciated! Thank you Tammy!!!

Very peaceful, tranquil but not lakefront

This cabin was spotless with a fully equipped kitchen. It was peaceful and I could hear the loons in the morning, but this is not lakefront. Nowhere on the listing does it state it is lakefront, but VRBO shows it as lakefront. The lake is actually across the street. Acess is about a door and half down. The lake is barely visible from the cabin; but the setting is so peaceful I didn't miss it. I loved that the yard was fenced in so I could let my dog out at night. It was a great cabin for us. The kitchen was awesome and had everything anyone could need. My only complaint is that the bottom bunk lacked a real mattress. It was just foam and was uncomfortable for an adult. It would be fine for a child. Also, the top bunk was covered with extra blankets, pillows, etc. We didn't need that bunk so it was ok for us, but storage is lacking a bit. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and we really enjoyed ourselves. The thing to remember is that this is a rustic cabin in a very private setting. It is charming.

Love the cottage

We love it so much and we want to come back next summer. The place was very clean and full of everyday living supplies, and including the fire pit. Thank you so much for ours stay!

Great lakeside cottage in the woods

We went on a trip to New hampshire for a dad and daughter vacation, as well as to house hunt for our upcoming move to the state. The location was perfect for getting away, while keeping us close enough to be able to get down to Southern NH in about an hour drive to view homes. The cottage was very clean, the owner was very helpful, and the cottage had all our needs covered. Zero complaints whatsoever. Highly recommend!

I grew up in Vermont and have great memories of visiting Sunapee in the summer at a family cottage on Mountain View Lake, and waterskiing at Georges Mills. Back in the 60s, we would go to Sunapee Harbor to watch my dad conduct the band, listen to the music, and enjoy the sunset in good company.

It's a perfect combination of simplicity and comfort, with options to keep you connected to the outside world when you want to be. Go for a swim, walk your dog, enjoy a BBQ, paddle around the lake, gaze at the stars, work on a puzzle, read a book, watch a movie -- or just relax and enjoy life!

The location is quiet and off the beaten path, but accessible to a semi-private dock and a public beach as well as in-town shops, services and recreation. Perkins Pond is big enough to support boating and water sports, but small enough to avoid the crowds. The small but well-appointed kitchen supports meal preparation for all levels, with both indoor and outdoor dining on a wrap-around deck with a grill. This cozy cottage includes a propane heater and air conditioning that make for indoor comfort, regardless of outdoor changes in the New England weather.
