This Jewel Box Apartment is located in Alamo. It is very close to Walnut Creek and Danville. Within 30 minutes from Oakland or San Francisco and approximately 1 hour from wine country.
It comfortably accommodates up to 2 people. It is ideal for touristic or work/study related trips. Even though the space might seem small, every detail has been well-thought out to deliver the best experience for our guests.
Guests will access the apartment using the private entrance and smart lock. It has off street parking for one car.
The modern kitchen has all the basics that you need. There are laundry facilities with a full size washer and dryer. High speed internet is included and the living room has Fire TV with over 100 channels and you can login into your favorite streaming service. Amazon prime video is included at no additional cost.
The bedroom has a comfortable bed, night stand, full size closet and bathroom with shower. There is a private patio area featuring a firepit table and gas grill.
This is a great location to experience the bay area and accommodations you will truly enjoy.

A Little Piece of Heaven

Unpleasant Experience

This property was nicely decorated, in a quiet location and equipped with all of the necessary linens and supplies. Those are the positives. Unfortunately, the property had a serious mold issue, and I had to leave earlier than expected. My clothes, shoes and other personal items were saturated with a horrible mold odor. Mold spores formed on the surface of a cup of tea that was accidentally left out for a couple of days. There were small gnats flying in the unit, indicative of a water issue, and this was apparently known to the owner because there was a can of "Flying Insect Killer" underneath the kitchen sink. The property owner refunded a portion of my costs for the unused nights, however he has refused to reimburse me for the cost of dry cleaning and the VRBO prorated fees for the unused nights. He knew there was an odor issue prior to my arrival and attempted to disguise it with odor absorption products which were placed throughout the unit in hard to see places. The deodorizers wore off within about a week of my arrival, and the odor continued to worsen each day. He offered solutions to further disguise or dissipate the odor, and these ideas did not help and did not fix the problem. I had to relocate, and this cost me a significant amount of time and money. He has been brusque and dismissive with my requests for a fair reimbursement. At one point he said to me "we both lost on this one" - but he didn't lose at all. To the contrary, he profited greatly. I am the only one here who has suffered financial loss - in addition to the loss of my time. The garbage cans servicing the unit and the main house were located inside of the garage, just outside of the bedroom door to this unit. The odor from the cans floated into the bedroom, and the noise of people emptying their garbage at all hours of the day and night was a nuisance. I would not recommend this property.

Modern, quiet, with thoughtful touches

Beautiful little space for one to enjoy the Bay Area. Great, safe neighborhood. Close to a nice park. Host had thoughtful touches throughout the property. Would recommend!
