Had a lovely stay at Don’s home. It was very clean and I was excited to see a full kitchen, along with a Bosch microwave that was very easy to use. The check-in process was easy, and Don was available if I needed anything. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Perfect stay!

Super clean, just the right size for two people! Gorgeous patio and view of the hills. Easy access to downtown Lafayette and 24, but far enough away to be quiet and secure. Would happily stay again!

Great stay

I had a unique situation where I didn't know my exact length of stay - Don was very understanding and said to just keep him posted as I stayed. It's a great place to stay, Don is a great guy and I really enjoyed my time there!

We were happy with this well kept unit and the landscaping and pool were very nice. Location for us was good as it was only 4 blocks from sons home. It’s definitely not walking distance to town. Only meet owner once to get 2 new bath towels after four days, but he was pleasant. All in all we would stay again. Only negative was having to park all the way over next to a stone wall and back onto street with owners car about 12 inches on the left and stone wall 6 inches to our right. At night a little hairy but we did it.

Beautiful space, fantastic hospitality

Spent a full week, relocating to the area. The apartment was well appointed and cozy. The outdoor space was nice (though was still a bit chilly during my stay).

This is a special oasis in the original Lafayette hills

Don's guest house is a rare find in the Lafayette /Orinda/ Walnut Creek area. I am a native who has lived away for decades and this place is the character of why the Bay Area was a great place to be from!

Quiet peaceful stay.

Don is a great host, very attentive but left us alone. The property is in a quiet neighborhood of Lafayette. You will need a car. Wonderful place for going on walks.

I've stayed at Don's apartment three times now. It's always clean and very comfortable. I do wish the kitchen were a little better equipped, but that's just a personal preference.

The apartment was comfortable and so cute, with all the upgrades. The yard was beautiful and the host friendly. We will stay here again next time we are in Lafayette.

Beautiful setting

Everything was clean and nicely set up. Beautiful yards. Plenty of privacy. Coffee maker acted up, had a new one same day. Great host.

Very nice, clean, well thought out apartment. We loved it and hope to return. Don was great host.

This was one of the nicest accommodations we have ever stayed in in the Lafayette area. Everything seemed upgraded, especially the kitchen and bathroom. Don put a lot of thought into making guests feel very much at home and having all of our needs met. We hope to return again on our next trip to California.

A Slice of Paradise

Our best VRBO experience by far! Host was very responsive, unit was well stocked to meet any needs, neighborhood and the backyard in particular with squirrels and birds and gardens provided a restful, tranquil setting for enjoyment and relaxation, including a pool. Would love to stay there again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Peaceful home away from home

this is our second time at Donald's place. It is a perfect location for us when we visit family. Lovely area for walks and a short drive away from great restaurants and shopping options in downtown Lafayette. The place is very comfortable, about the only complaint I have is the lack of heat in the bedroom, especially felt this year because of the unusually long and wet winter.

This VRBO is extremely comfortable. Its location is excellent. Parking is very easy. The neighborhood is beautiful. It was nice to have the fireplace and full size washer and dryer. House Hunting

We needed housing for 30 days while we searched for a home to purchase in Walnut Creek area. This vacation rental served our purpose. We had all the basics we needed for a 30 day stay. Plus, we had access to a pool and a fireplace. Don was extremely responsive to all of our questions and needs. Would definitely recommend this vacation rental to anyone seeking a comfy place to stay for a week or even a month. Pat and Charlie

Wonderful experience!!

The apartment was the perfect home away from home. We were in town to visit family and did not want to stay five days in a hotel. The apartment was everything we hoped; convenient, quiet, private, very clean, very well appointed, very nice. It was so enjoyable to get up in the mornings, make our own coffee and breakfast, relax and enjoy the beautiful view from our windows. We will definitely be back and are passing info on to other family/friends who will visit the area. Thanks so much!!

Home Away From Home

We loved our stay at Rahara Rental. Don is a fantastic host. He responded quickly even though he was on vacation at the time of our request. That was greatly appreciated. Everything was as described, very clean and well maintained. We have already recommened it to friends. We will rent it again when we are in the area. We loved Lafayette Park and it is so close. The area is beautiful. We are looking forward to more time there. Thanks Don for making this property available.

This is my home. I hardly ever used the lower portion so I have had it professionally converted. It is a wonderful place to stay if you like quiet, a valley view and quick access to San Francisco.

Lots of natural light, tranquil views, large patio area for sitting out side, jump in the pool to cool off in the summer or sit in front of the outdoor gas fireplace.
