Enjoy a non-hotel experience in a SAFE, conveniently located - remodeled, fully equipped, comfortable home. Wifi, full kitchen, quiet, private, and serene.

Our home is traditional Hawaiian by design, with three preset air conditioned bedrooms and comfortable quiet spaces.

Upstairs living space is designed with the tropical climate in mind, the wood floors and ceilings frame the living area, cool trade winds flow through the home and motorized skylights offer ventilation and light.

The Lanais front and back are comfortable quiet places to enjoy a morning breakfast or a romantic dinner. Magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and the Pacific Ocean. The private enclosed landscaped rear garden offers private seating and Barbeque area for family gatherings.

From our private elevated crows nest our guests enjoy the solitude of the sunset views, framed by twin King Palms, over the Pacific Ocean.

Its all magic and its yours to enjoy !

Master bedroom is ensuite with private bathroom, Kingbed and access to your private garden. Queen beds make up the other two bedrooms with a full bathroom /shower and full bath.

We use the best linens and guests compliment out attention to detail and cleanliness. Complimentary soaps. body wash and shampoos are provided if required.

Kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, microwave and Keurig coffee maker.

Our home is 5 min to the best sandy bottomed beach on the Island where you can enjoy magnificent sunsets, watch for whales, surfing, snorkeling or swim with the turtles. Secure free shady parking, fresh water showers and few crowds make this beach a very special place to be in paradise. We offer our guests use of beach chairs umbrella, beach toys beach towels, snorkeling and boogey boards. Please rinse with fresh water and replace after use ...Mahalo !

Our ideal island location allows easy access to all parts of the Island. Our guests are able to explore the Island for day trips as we are very centrally located to most points of interest. In addition, free parking on site, allows you to move freely as needed. Watch the sunrise from the top of the Haleakala creator, visit the magical town of Hana, drive to incredible waterfalls, hike the Iao valley or visit the famous North Shore its your paradise to enjoy .Aloha !

Three Cheers for Coconut Cottage!

Our family of five had a great time here and were very comfortable. We LOVED the fact that there were beach chairs, boards, flippers, beach towels and an umbrella for use. What a great thing to not have to worry about renting on vacation! The coffee provided was also such a great host touch. Not many places will offer coffee for your stay nowadays, so that was appreciated. Marco is very communicative, friendly, and kind also. My three kids loved the board games and my 6 year old had so much fun with the Barbie car and surf board! Highly recommend this place, the house was so pretty. Thank you again!

Great stay!

The property worked perfectly for our stay! The location is fantastic, close to beaches, restaurants, & shops, and easy access to wherever we were wanting to go. It was in a nice & quiet neighbourhood, making it feel much less touristy! It was clean and as advertised. The bedrooms were a good size and the beds were extremely comfortable! The starter supplies were much appreciated. Overall l, the unit was well equipped. As we had infants in our group, we arranged for rental of some equipment (I.e. cribs, car seats, high chair etc.). The host provided recommendations for rental groups, and facilitated delivery/pick up by the company ahead of our arrival. This was really helpful. The host checked in shortly after we arrived and a few times throughout the stay. We had requested and arranged for a late checkout ahead of our stay, which was very important to our group. There seemed to be some miscommunication with this, but in the end the host honoured our agreement with minimal disruption to our stay. This was greatly appreciated.

The perfect Maui Vacation

Beautiful property, perfect location and excellent host! The house had everything we needed and more. Marco was an excellent host making sure we were comfortable and all our needs were met. Restaurant recommendations were appreciated and all the beach gear was totally utilized. We would definitely would stay again.

Pleasant Vacation

Without any doubt, I recommend both the house and its owner Mark. The house is spacious, two-story, with several verandas and a green yard, easily accommodated our family of 4 adults and 2 children. Everything in the house is carefully thought out and organized for a carefree vacation, from the kitchen and dishes to beach towels and folding chairs and a beach umbrella. The nearest beach is a five-minute drive from the house. From it, endless beaches stretch in both directions, differing from each other in sand and rocks, grass and solidified volcanic lava. In many places you can snorkel. Restaurants and shops are also within easy reach. Communications with Mark were nothing but pleasure. I used his advices and recommendations. We have the most pleasant impressions and many photos from our vacation.

Great place

Beautiful house, you feel at home. Plenty of room. Super clean. Well equipped for the beach ( boards, toys, towels, ice chest cooler). Marco is an excellent person and very easy to communicate with. He gave us a lot of good advice where to go, where to eat, others.

Simply perfect!

Lovely property, lovely location, super easy communication with the manager. Delightful cross breezes from the trade winds through the upper floor during the afternoon. Loved the view of the ocean and sunset from the balcony. Easy walk to a gorgeous beach, with lots of turtles:) and an easy walk to the shops in Kihei too!

Look no further!

We feel very lucky to have stayed in Marco’s house in Kihei. So close to everything yet in a nice neighborhood and a bit out of the fray. The home is great, clean and decorated in a tropical style. Everything one would need is there! Cooler, beach chairs, beach towels. Also he is so responsive.

Gem in a quiet relaxing cul-de-sac

Property is beautiful! The amenities are very convenient such as all of the beach gear available as we ended up using the towels, chairs and boards almost every day. Clean, safe neighborhood as well. Only downside really depends on the season you stay here, as the upper portion of the property can get quite hot if it's not windy outside. Very happy and highly recommend!

Great house and location

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Marco's house. It was just the two of us so we had plenty of space but the layout of the house would also be great for a group. The location is wonderful and you can walk to a great beach and many restaurants and stores in 10-15 minutes. Easy driving to lots of other things too. The neighborhood is nice and the neighbors are quiet. The ocean view from the front lanai is great! There's laundry in the house and beach equipment to use. Marco is easy to communicate with if you have questions or an issue. Thanks!

Amazing place to stay in Maui

This place has a great location! Close to the beach and close to some great restaurants. Kitchen is perfect for doing cooking while on vacation and all the rooms and bathrooms were just as advertised.

Great house, location, and host!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Marco's house! He was a fantastic host to work with, great communication. Even gave us directions to his favorite beach and other advice on the island. The bedrooms were all clean and comfortable. Perfect location, walkable to Kihei downtown and beaches if you're interested in that. All necessary beach gear is provided in the garage. Super easy check in and out binder.

Inviting home in prime location

Great stay on Maui

We stayed at the house with our adult children and their spouses on a family trip to Maui. There was plenty of room for the six of us. The neighborhood was quiet and super safe and within a mile of great beaches, as well as restaurants and shopping. We made the walk often. We appreciated the grill in the yard, the washer and dryer, and all the beach equipment available to us. Marco communicated with us promptly to answer our questions, and he checked in every few days with recommendations for restaurants and activities. He knows the island well! It came as no surprise that the main living area was not air conditioned (the listing states this clearly); however, despite this hot time of year, we ran the overhead fans and kept windows and doors open for a cross breeze, and the house cooled off at night. It was pretty warm though. The bedrooms were air conditioned for a good night's sleep. Thanks for a wonderful stay, Marco!

Stayed for 8 days at the end of March

The house was exactly as listed. It was a 10 min walk to beach but 3 min drive to carry stuff worked out better. Better still a 15 min drive to Makena Beach to the south was worth it. My family enjoyed the private green large backyard when we we not busy. It was the primary reason we wanted a house and not a condo and definitely was worth it. Marco was extremely accessible if we had any questions he was very quick to help. Thank you for letting stay at your house.

Great Find

The house is located in a central location and it is easy to get to nearly every part of the island easily. You can walk to the beach or take a nearby highway to your choice destination. The house has much of the usual things for free that you would have to purchase or rent. It saved us a tremendous amount of money.

First Maui experience

Marco has a fantastic spot and wonderful house. Everything lived up to our expectations and the rental was great value for money. Marco was helpful with suggesting beaches and other activities and made the experience smooth. Great sunset views from the outdoor deck too! Wish we had a few more days there.

The perfect getaway

Coconut Cottage...feels like home in beautiful Maui

Highly recommend if you’re staying in Kihei and looking for a spacious home instead of a cramped hotel. Coconut Cottage is a modern and comfortable home in a quiet cul-de-sac neighborhood. Quick 10 min drives to nearby beaches in Kihei/Wailea saved time and energy. Yet it’s central location offered quick and easy access to airport and the rest of the island, another convenient plus! Our fave feature was the third floor balcony at sunrise/sunset. Beauty, breeze and bliss. Amazing!! Cottage Coconut host Marc was easy to communicate with. He made us feel like a trusted neighbor, gladly offered warm and friendly advice on places to visit/eat and was always very responsive to questions and concerns— full of aloha and a gracious host to boot!

A/C Beware

I'll start with the fact that the property itself was great as was the landlord. Just beware that the house does NOT have central or full air conditioning. Trade winds or not, when it's 90 degrees outside in the afternoon, the inside of the home is about the same temp. The bedrooms did have small blade units, comparable to a window unit. They did okay at night, however not ideal and definitely would not have booked had we known. We explored the island for the majority of our days and didn't spend a ton of time at the house. However, after a long day of exploring we wanted a more comfortable environment and not a camp-out type feel. We ended up leaving early (with no refund) and would not rent the home again.

We miss it already!

We came in July 2021, 2 adults, 2 teen kids (who had a room each), and loved it. I think Marco the host/owner is wanting to be “VRBO Host of the year” and he has my vote, outstanding communication, and help. House is beautifully decorated, super clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Pictures are 100% accurate as are the previous reviews and probably don’t even do it justice, the views from the front Lanai are very difficult to capture with any camera. Loved the location between the highway and the beach just south of “downtown” Kihei, we had a rental car (a must!) and we drove every day to a different beach, coffee place, etc. and nothing was more than 10-15 mins away from Makena, through all the resorts at Wailea all the way up to Sugar Beach (visit the bake shop!), tons of stuff to do, see, eat and drink! Wonderful quiet relaxing neighborhood, you can walk to beach and breakfast if you wanted. Each bedroom has whisper quiet air conditioning which was a blessing because it was unusually hot when we were there mid-summer, we all slept great, bedrooms are nice. Upstairs is not air-conditioned, but they have fans and great ocean breezes, we did not plan to be in the house in the middle of the day anyway we were on the beach! Wonderful sunsets every night from the Lanai. Loved the games upstairs plus beach towels, chairs, mats, umbrellas, and beach toys in the garage. Used the snorkeling gear to watch turtles swimmin and chillin every day! The only thing that sucks about this house is leaving it, highly recommended. We will be back.

Coconut Cottage Vacation Rental

We had a wonderful time staying at Coconut Cottage! Loved the house, yard, and location! The decks were an awesome place to hang out and had a great view. We enjoyed that the neighborhood was very pedestrian friendly and lots of locations within walking distance. Thank you to Marco for being so friendly and outgoing. We appreciated our stay! Thank you.

We love all that Maui offers our family and have lived in many different parts of the island. Our first home was on the north shore in the town of Haiku. Being an avid waterman and surfer/paddler this was the mecca of larger wave surfing. Coconut cottage offers the sunny, dry side of the Island and is the perfect beach side home for our family.
