Beautiful 7400 sq foot retreat on a sprawling private acre just minutes from Pineview Lake and three ski resorts. The ultimate retreat with an epic outdoor playland just steps from your front door. Large home with a Hot tub, jetted soaking tub, double shower, air hockey, ping-pong, and a large screen TV.  Featuring a large gourmet kitchen with a large fridge and separate freezer, Viking Range, a Huge island, and two dining areas. Enjoy boating, skiing, hiking, biking, or lake adventures. There is so much to do in this beautiful and peaceful mountain community. 9 bedrooms set in the idyllic Ogden Valley. Nordic is 5 minutes away, Powder Mountain is 10 minutes away, and SnowBasin is 15 minutes away. Pineview Lake is only 5 minutes away. This historic Grand English Cottage home was the first grand estate home constructed in the Ogden Valley. Constructed under the guidance of Rulon Jones, a notable football player who played defensive end for the Denver Broncos. This traditional classic home offers a stunning setting nestled just minutes from Powder Mountain, Snowbasin, and Nordic Ski Resorts with views of Nordic from the back deck. The layout of the house is outstanding-- so many bedrooms, separate areas for gathering, it never felt crowded and has been remodeled to be very attractive. The location is excellent. Note that the bedroom setup works best for adults and babies (tall queen beds & pack n plays), but there are just 2 rooms with twin beds for kids. A few things could be improved: the master bedroom & bath were freezing, need space heaters. Several bedrooms (including the master) had no dresser, shelves, or even luggage racks so it's suitcases on the floor. Kitchen well stocked in some things, lacking in others. Bathrooms need hangers for hand towels. The outdoor grill did not work. Remodeling appears to be ongoing so there were a few unfinished projects. Hopefully these issues will be addressed soon bringing it up to 5 stars.

The host was very responsive and helped make our stay and our time at the reservoir magical. We initially booked this place to max out the occupancy with our extended family group. A few people were not able to make it, but if they had been there, there would still have been ample room for everyone to enjoy their time. The kids loved the hot tub and air hockey, and everyone loved the easy access to the lake. The kitchen had everything we needed to make all our meals. There were multiple areas to gather as a whole group.

Family reunion

Looking for location of big home for all of us. Unfortunately all family members wasn’t able to make it. Home was nicely stocked with plates, bowels & utensils. Would Have been nice with a little more bigger pans to cook more than one thing at a time. Over all nice play to stay.

This property served my family well. The young (some not so young) enjoyed playing hide and seek in this large place. Lots of bedrooms to accommodate everyone. The owners were very helpful. Provided a paddle when we left it at home. The view from the deck was amazing. Pineview was close, was a favorite to many. Master bedroom was my favorite. The tub was the favorite of my grands and kids alike. My spouse said it was like sleeping in a mansion. The beds were a bit too soft. Kitchen was well appointed. Thanks for a memorable trip

Can it get better?!?!!!

Wow…..if you need an A place to stay, with every amenity you can think of, lots of space….. then this is the place for you. This is just five minutes from Eden, and has rooms for days. The owner is absolutely phenomenal to work with. I will 100% stay here again and recommend it to friends..

Garden of Eden

Amazing area for a family trip. Beautiful view of the mountains. Yard is huge and house is bigger than pictures give it credit for. We had a few questions and the host was very responsive.

Great for large groups.

This home is great for large groups, we had 11. It is a beautiful setting, the views from the back of the house are incredible. It is a shame the condition of the house is poor….lots of deferred maintenance, the back deck is close to collapsing, grill mostly unusable, hot tub water needed to be changed a year ago…..but we still enjoyed the experience.

Great for large gatherings

The house was a lot bigger than the pictures showed. It was a nice place for a family reunion. Lots of king and queen comfortable beds. Overall it was an enjoyable stay, but there are a number of maintenance and insect issues that need to be addressed. If these issues are resolved, it would definitely be a 5 star review, but I can only give it a 3 at this time.

Honesty

This is definitely a fabulous place to stay. However their is maintenance that needs attention electrical outlets, stairs leading from the balcony to ground level I would definitely recommend an exterminator come more often on the outside due to wasp and ants. The barbecue has neglected for a long time worn out and found dirty if these issues were addressed it would make it a more comfortable stay

Eden gathering place

The valley that this home is located is stunning. The home is spacious with a great layout for a large gathering. The hosts were very responsive and easy to work with. The home was not ready at check-in time; snow was not removed from the driveway and entrance to the house, and the cleaners finished preparing the house an hour after check-in time and cleaning was not thorough. There were several maintenance issues that the host quickly responded to and did their best to rectify. We enjoyed the stay, and with some deep cleaning and maintenance this would be a perfect location.

2024 Family Reunion

Communication with the owners was excellent so when we got to the house we were a bit surprised by its condition. The advertised photos aren’t anything like what the house looks like now (outside). The inside is mostly as advertised, quite spacious and handled our large family well. The inside should have some repairs and updates performed to make it more current. The inside also should have a deep cleaning done to it more often. The kitchen was nicely stocked with all the needed pots, pans and other cooking equipment. The large stove and double ovens were very handy for our large family. The rear deck is a nice place to hang out but the transition to an down the stairs needs to be repaired/updated. We did enjoy our stay these are just suggestions that could make it even better

Great Location, so many bedrooms!

We take an annual friend trip with ten different couples and we were really pleased with this space. There were almost enough private rooms for everyone. The beds were comfortable and I didn't have any issues with cleanliness. The hot tub was an excellent addition and seems new. The kitchen is well stocked and I thought the big fridge and the big freezer were excellent. The stove/oven is kind of a dream. We noticed that the deck could use some TLC on the steps leading down to the hot tub. There were not screens on the windows which would have been nice to help cool things down during the night but the host offered to put some on for us which we appreciated. We loved the location as it was far enough from "civilization" to feel like a retreat but close enough that we could still run to the store after we forgot a couple of things. The host was pretty quick to respond to my questions which was appreciated. We initially struggled with the air conditioner but found that a previous guest had messed with the schedule at some point so we had to keep overriding that but the host helped us do some troubleshooting near the end of our stay and I doubt it will be an issue in the future. Lastly, when we booked the house, there was a photo of a pool table which was not there when we arrived. We did book six months in advance, however, so I imagine it has been updated since then. All in all, despite there being a few quirks here and there to get sorted, we had a great time. :)

Not as Advertised

I have never given a bad review before, but I felt that I had to describe my group's experience so that others don't repeat it. The house was large and included the list of items shown in the description, but we ran into a lot of issues that are listed below. The owner offered to fix what they could, but most of the items require lots of work and could not be fixed in the 3 days of our stay. I provided feedback to the owner that they should either fix the issues before someone rents the house or change the description and lower the price of the house. She said that these issues are not out of the ordinary. I have rented many homes on VRBO and told her that these issues are not ordinary. Here are the issues we encountered: -the bed covers were dirty (the sheets were clean) -there was no live tv service -there were bugs in the house including 2 wasps in the master bedroom -the hot tub temp ranged from 75 to 95 degrees -the wifi went in and out -the master bedroom gets very little heat -the pool table and foosball table are severely damaged -the basement tv did not work - the family room tv was disconnected and we had to figure out how to wire it -there were 2 broken toilet seats in the upstairs bathrooms -the door code did not work -the house is in general disrepair

Believe the reviews

When we booked this house in Dec 2023, there were only a couple of reviews online and they were not great. They mentioned maintenance issues and lack of cleanliness. I had hoped that the host would have responded to the feedback and taken care of the issues by the time we arrived for our stay in June. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Upon arrival, I spent the first hour & 1/2 (before my family arrived) vacuuming the main floor, rugs and carpeted stairs, because it was filthy. There were dead bugs, and cobwebs everywhere. The carpet on the back deck was disgusting - like not even a little effort to tidy it. And I was really trying to give them the benefit of the doubt- But then I found out that the hosts only live like 20 minutes away from the place, so there’s not really an excuse. I could go on for days, but let me just say the bedrooms upstairs were fairly clean (except the carpets- they all needed vacuuming). The bathrooms were OK and the master bathroom was missing the toilet seat. The basement was kind of gross and had lots of maintenance issues and spiders. The basement bathroom was inexcusable. None of the kids wanted to sleep downstairs so they all ended up on air mattresses on the second floor. The pros were - the kitchen is large. It was a lot of space. The A/C worked great for such a large house. Could be a nice place but the cons were a major topic of conversation during our entire stay. For that price, as it was, I definitely can’t recommend it.

The house was wonderful with an amazing view out the back!! Plenty of space to hang out and visit, cook, play games, sleep etc. Host was great! Would definitely stay again.
