Welcome to Star of the Sea, a beautifully renovated dog-friendly townhome in Kure Beach just steps from the beach, offering ocean views, 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and plenty of space for families and groups.

— HOUSE RULES:
• No parties or events allowed.
• No smoking.

NOTES:
• A signed Booking Agreement is required for all reservations before check-in.
• Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are allowed..
• A $225 non-refundable pet fee applies.
• Dogs must be leashed at all times outside the property.
• April 1 – September 30: Dogs are allowed on the beach before 9 AM and after 5 PM. | October 1 – March 31: Dogs are allowed on the beach anytime.

The house was beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean!! The elevator and rocking chair was a Godsend. Elevator made is so easy to carry in luggage and groceries. There was plenty of room for six adults, three kids and baby. Beds were super comfy and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking in. Great location and we loved that we could bring our dogs. Highly recommend this home and the host was great to work with.

This was a fantastic property - well maintained and a super easy walk to the beach. For some reason emails were not coming through with check-in info. It would be great if those could be messaged via the VRBO app. Other than that small technical glitch, everything else was excellent!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This townhome is absolutely beautiful! The unit was so very clean and loved that yall provided all linens, trash bags, dish soap, etc! Only 2 concerns that could be better. The first floor bed is tough and uncomfortable. Every move that was made, mostly everyone knew. You move, it makes a horrible dying sound. Second is there isnt enough pots and pans. We don’t typically eat out and try to cook breakfast and supper so more larger frying pans and stockpots are needed.

Loved it!

Spent a week over Spring break with my daughter, sons, and grandchildren. The home had everything we needed (from beach toys to bicycles) and was extremely clean. Location was perfect! Hoping to book again for my next trip to North Carolina

This house delivered and more. Spacious, clean, comfy and so close to the beach. We just loved it and hope to make it an annual tradition.

Awesome Rental

We had such a great time. The rental is so so nice, with high ceilings on all floors (i think 9’?), beautiful modern finishes and appliances, super comfortable (and newer) furniture, and gorgeous décor throughout. It was super clean, very open and airy, but also comfortable and cozy at the same time. Location is great, super convenient to the beach, to fort fisher, to the ferry to Southport, to the Carolina Beach Boardwalk, and even to downtown Wilmington for the battleship. Everyone loved it, old to young, and the kids particularly liked the bunk beds. I highly recommend this property, except for the weeks that we want to use it next year, because we will be back!!

Arrival was smooth and everything in the home was clean and well stocked. Our family of 6 (4 adults and 2 kids) had plenty of space to spread out and find comfortable sleeping arrangements; however, the lower level bedroom can hear the water rushing through the pipes when anyone else in the home flushes toilets or showers. Knowing that. The were mindful of that at night so The only snag we had was the condition of the communal pool when we arrived but it was remedied in 24 hours from when I notified our host. Our location was convenient to both the boardwalk in CB as well as the Kure Beach Pier and its surrounding attractions. The walk from the townhome to the beach was very easy and the crosswalk provided peace of mind as my kids crossed the street. All in all it was a wonderful stay and we would definitely book another stay here in the future!

Reviewer Comments: The house was beautiful, clean and perfect for our needs except the fridge was broken. This made it very inconvenient for the Easter gathering we had planned. We had a lot of food that needed to be kept cold for the weekend. We packed the fridge with ice until maintenance was able to bring us more coolers and dorm fridges. It was really not ideal but acceptable. Overall our stay was great. The location was great, the view was good. The entrance to the beach was close by. I just wish there was easier communication. Only way to ask questions was through email.

Hey Tamerine, We apologige for the fridge not working. As soon as you told us we went right out, inspected, and called our repair company.. As it was Easter weekend, no one would come out until Monday. We brought over two college dorm fridges and a cooler full of ice. We also brought more ice over the next day. We offered you access to another property's fridge a few blocks away but that was all we could do. We are availible by phone 24/7, not sure what you meant by wanting easier communication. Not as nice as it use to be

Reviewer Comments: This was our third stay at this property (2023, 2024, and again in July 2026), which is why it's disappointing to write this review. We've always enjoyed this home, but this year's stay was noticeably different.When we arrived, the property was not as clean or well-maintained as it had been during our previous visits. The windows were dirty, the TV screen had fingerprints all over it, there was an old grape under the TV stand, there was black mold on the ceiling in the powder room, and the living room couches had several noticeable stains. Overall, the home just didn't have the clean, fresh feel that we had come to expect.We also discovered that the dishwasher was leaking after we ran it for the first time, leaving water on the kitchen floor. We contacted the property management company, and they did offer to send someone out to repair it. We appreciated their willingness to address the issue, but since we were on vacation, we didn't want to spend part of our trip waiting for a repair technician.We still love the location and have many great memories at this property, which is why we've returned three times. We hope the owners and property management company will pay closer attention to the cleanliness and maintenance of the home so that future guests—and returning families like ours—can enjoy the same high standard we experienced during our previous stays.

This house was perfect for our large family. It was so clean and had all the little extras you need for vacation. The location was perfect. Just a few steps from the beach and the pool. We loved it!!!!
