We had a great time and the best part of it all was just sitting on the dock seeing all the wildlife in the bay..we even seen a dolphin swimming in the distance. Definitely our best family vacation yet!

The Cottage had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The kids loved the large yard area and the hammock and enjoyed swimming in the Sound. Quaint and quiet, great neighbors - so easy to enjoy yourself.

My daughter and I stayed at this lovely cottage for five nights. We were looking for a relaxing, cozy place to get away and this perfectly fit the bill. We absolutely loved sitting outside and watching the boats in the sound. Lovely!

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend at the cottage. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed being outside in the hammock and on the dock. Our dogs enjoyed being with us and the neighborhood was a great place to walk. We had all we needed to cook and only left the cottage for one meal during our stay. Definitely recommend if you are looking to relax!

We had a great stay at the cottage during Thanksgiving! Everything you would need to use for cooking is accessable in the kitchen, with plenty of room to prep and serve. The kitchen island was especially handy for serving and drinks while enjoying the best view possible of the inlet waterway! Property is beautiful and spacious with a great seaside hammock in the trees to enjoy as well.

The cottage is an excellent way to spend a peaceful view of Bogue Sound. Plenty of space to spread out throughout the house and still have amazing views of sound. Close to grocery store and several eating facilities, shopping and just simply enjoying the Newport area.

Just completed a two-week stay at this quiet, clean, and relaxing property. Most exceptional was the availability of our host whenever a question was raised. A great location with the shopping and dining in Morehead City and Atlantic Beach just a few minutes away. Certainly a great property for just getting away and having some quiet time and enjoying nature. Certainly worthy of a return trip.

The location is wonderful! We loved sitting out in the yard in lawn chairs we brought to enjoy the wind and sun. So relaxing. I grew up on the sound just a mile away and it brought back k so many memories. We even weee able to get out in the sound and take clams. ( we brought a rake and bucket anticipating raking and the tides afforded the ability to get out and enjoy the water which was bath tub warm. We love visiting Morehead and Beaufort when ever we come. We even had a nice ride over to Emerald island to play putt putt. The cottage is the original 1950”s structure. The house was clean and beds were comfortable. The one bathroom toilet was a little sluggish which we reported to the owner. A few suggestions we sent to the owner was for more hand towels and dish clothes for the kitchen and some pots for the stove and glass cooking dishes for the microwave but otherwise it was comfortable for cooking. There is no washer or dryer which might be an issue if you were staying for more than a few days. The grill was unusable and that was reported to owner as well. It’s a lovely area to walk and our dog enjoyed everything, walking , water, and the yard and we were very happy that it was pet friendly. Remember to bring water shoes if you get in the water as there a lot of shells, which all apart of water life in that area. The host was very responsive and addressed all my questions. Thanks for the stay!

Lovely cottage on the water. The large yard was perfect for our dogs. Just be aware there isn’t a fence between this property and the neighbor who has 3 dogs with an electric fence. I recommend an e collar if you let your dogs off leash. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The living room was perfect for winding down at the end of the day.
