Direct Oceanfront 2BR Suite - Pool & Immediate Beach Access

This spacious, well-appointed townhouse is in a quiet community next to the beach. The layout provides privacy and room to spread out, making it ideal for families or groups. The unit has 2 levels, for a total of 1,200 square feet plus 2 private Ocean Front balconies. It’s a short walk (50 yards) from the front door to the development’s private beach access. You can see and hear the ocean from the balconies or inside when the sliding glass doors are open. This townhouse includes:

- Master suite on the top floor with king-size bed, bathroom with a tub shower combo, and a balcony with an ocean view.
- Large living room on the middle level with comfortable seating, dining room with seating for 6, full-sized kitchen with a breakfast area, half-bathroom, and balconies at each end (facing north and south). The kitchen is fully-equipped, all the usual appliances, and plenty of cookware, dishes, and utensils. You shouldn’t need to bring anything except food.
- Second bedroom has a queen-size bed and trundle bed.
- Laundry room with full-size washer and dryer.
- Large TVs in the living room and master bedroom with cable.
- Linens, towels, and soaps.

The development has a nice beach front pool and shuffleboard, and a party room for large gatherings.

Island House is a small development in the best part of St. Augustine Beach. It’s about 5 miles south of the pier, far enough to be away from the busier part of the beach but close to restaurants and shops.

St. Augustine Beach is a vibrant community with lots to do. The beach is wide with natural dunes, and it has reliable waves and great swimming. When you’re not on the beach, there are lots of good restaurants around. At the pier, there’s a farmers and crafts market on Wednesdays and other outdoor events. You can go to the historic downtown area and see the old fort or take a boat cruise from the marina.

Or you can rent your own boat and go fishing or cruising on the Intracoastal Waterway. There’s a well-run Alligator Farm. And there are plenty of golf courses around. It’s a great place to visit any time of year.

I really enjoyed staying at this property. It had just been renovated and was wonderful inside. Plenty of room plus a gorgeous view of the ocean. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Relaxing Stay

The townhouse, albeit a bit dated, is comfortable, quit, and relaxing. The view from the deck is wonderful. The amenities are more than sufficient. Overall I would recommend this place for a great vacation.

Great location

We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again. Having the ocean right outside your window is phenomenal. Watching surfers, spotting tortoises, photographing horses on the beach, or wading in the ocean on that smooth sand made for a relaxing and much needed vacation.

Quite spot on the edge of town

Unit is in a great location just outside of town. Great ocean views from both balconies and just a short walk to the sand. The pool was small but we generally had it to ourselves. Far enough away from the city to not have a lot of traffic but close enough to enjoy the food!

I have rented severaĺ condos via Vrbo and this condo is my favorite so far! Beautifully decorated, spacious, clean, good mattresses and nice bedding. Best of all..... a million dollar view of the Atlantic ocean and Butler Beach! I hope to stay he4e again! hope tp

Wonderful week. Beautiful, clean condo. Brilliant private beach view from 2 stories over deep grass lowland. Deck in back over parking lot too for partial sunset. Lots of stairs..18 to front door. Okay for us, maybe not all. Quiet beach at end of March, soft sand, lots of fun in the surf.

Beach Retreat

Dated but clean and well organized, with easy access to beach and St. Augustine sites. GREAT view of the Atlantic. The oven required an app that was impossible to access—so couldn’t be used. No shower products—gel, shampoo, etc. There were no directions for anything. Still, for the price this place is a lovely beach retreat. Many good restaurants and copious shopping nearby.

Great location. Beautiful beach.

The condo was clean. Location was great. Nice pool area. Overall, the complex is quiet. Close to the beach. There are quite a few stairs throughout the complex besides the stairs in the two story condo. Condo was equipped with everything we needed except beach chairs. There were only 2 lounge chairs that were pretty beat. We were 4 adults. We ended up purchasing 4 camp chairs at Walmart and left them for future guests.

We loved it

This condo was wonderful. Our only complaints (and they aren’t enough to give a lower rating): -There isn’t much for cookware. I feel like the pots and pans situation made it very hard to cook dinner daily. -The community grill. Not a fan. Wish there was just a grill at the condo -The sliding deck door in the living room is close to impossible to slide. It really was a great place though. Location is perfect, everything was clean, condo itself is beautiful and decorated wonderful. We would stay again!

Annual Friends Trip

We have been going to Ft. Myers Beach for 14 years. Loved it but thanks to Hurricane Ian, we decided to try St. Augustine. This unit was remodelwd, looked beautiful. However, pots & pans were near unusable, very low quality. The guest bedroom's mattress was VERY noisy, you could not roll over without waking your partner. All sliding doors very difficult to open and close. Upstairs TV's did not have the same servicevas the LR TV,, frustrating at night. All appliances were wonderful, top quality. View was beautiful, outdoor furniture was perfect.

We liked Island House. My wife and daughter complained about the doors to the patios. They seem to be original--look identical to those in our Island House apartment we bought in 1973. The doors are hard to open. The condition of the apartment is excellent. The apartment is clean and well-supplied. It has been updated in a tasteful way. The views from the balconies are excellent. Island House opened 50 years ago. I was 31 when it opened; I am 81 now. I can climb the stairs as can my wife, daughter, and granddaughter but elevators would be nice to have. The owners of A209 have done a great job with what they have to work with.

Island House A209-Annual Vacation

This place was exactly as it shows on the website, note there is a bit of a hike to get to the beach however, it was worth every step. This beach is beautiful, the folks handling this property were site unseen however, we had no reason for them to be in touch. While we did have an accident with the Keurig, we replaced it and when I took our key to the office, the gentleman there was very concerned if they could have helped. I explained it was totally our fault, therefore we purchased a new one. Have to say, that was a very nice response from the Manger. I would definitely stay again at Island House, but would like to try out a different building.I know, you're thinking how can there not be any issues....well, the towels do need replacing, they were pretty dingy even though they are white. Again, we will be staying here again, management was very helpful and A209 has awesome beach views, beds were comfy, birds and turtles were another unexpected pleasure to experience.

Ideal Location

This is an older townhouse style condominium. You need to be comfortable with stairs. The location and view are fantastic. Super easy access to the beach. There is nothing in walking distance really, St Augustine beach area is just a short drive away and St Augustine itself is just 8 miles up the road. But that is convenient enough. Butler Beach is less crowded and just as nice but crowds are not really an issue on the St. Augustine beaches.. Property is clean with a recently remodeled kitchen which was adequately equipped. The guest room mattress is horrible and I don’t know how you would use the daybed that is in the second bedroom. The property itself needs some TLC which was in process when we were there. Over all it was nice and suited our needs for 10 days. The view and the beach access are the best amenities. I think it was a good value.
