Waterfront cottage on beautiful Vermont lake

Come enjoy a rustic summer camp located on the shore of Shadow Lake, a clear, quiet lake located in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. Originally built circa 1890, the camp is now outfitted with a modern kitchen and bath. Two waterfront porches, one fully screened, are great places to relax by the water. Two docks provide access to swimming, fishing, boating and viewing wildlife just steps from the back door. A lakeside fire ring is great for gathering to enjoy evening campfires. An indoor heater and living room bar provide a cozy space for time out of the weather. Second floor bedrooms provide sleeping for 6.
Amenities also include a washer and dryer, WiFi, TV and a gas grill.

Great spot on Shadow Lake!

Awesome cabin on the lake, excellent fishing, great accommodations for a Lake stay! Our host was great, extra responsive and informative… thanks for the stay, definitely will be back!!!

Great location, great owner!

This camp was just as described, a great mix of rustic and updated. The screened in porch was AMAZING! The location offered privacy and wonderful access to beautiful Shadow Lake! Pete was so easy to communicate with and very responsive! It was a pleasure! Would definitely go back!

We had a perfect week at the cottage. The location is ideal, as well as nice and quiet. Pete was great to deal with. We had just a couple questions early on that he promptly answered. The cottage itself was spacious with many places to hang out. The screened in porch was very popular. We also were there during the time that the loonlets were hatched, so there was much excitement around that as it has been a long time since a loon family has existed on Shadow Lake. It was just the relaxing getaway we had hoped for.

Bday trip

We really enjoyed our stay on the lake despite almost a week of rain… the screened in porch made all the difference. The place is just as described a mix of modern and rustic and right on the water. The cabin has a well stocked kitchen and great water pressure. The water does come from the lake but you are provided a 5 gal water dispenser for cooking and drinking. There is a a supermarket (c&c) about 15 minutes away that has a little if everything you’d need nice steaks and wine. Although there are neighbors on both sides you still have a lot of privacy and the lake was sooo quiet! Pete was very easy to talk to We would def come back! Thanks for sharing your space 🙂

We had a wonderful stay on the lake! Was perfect for our family vacation - all 3 generations enjoyed. We really appreciated being right on the water and having so many boats to use (paddle boat, kayaks, canoe and SUP). We enjoyed swimming, s'mores around the campfire, and watching the eagles that are nesting next to the camp. Having internet was helpful for work emails and so the kids could watch the world cup at night. The camp was very clean and had a well stocked kitchen which made cooking easy when we weren't enjoying local event "Burgers & Brews" or Parker Pie Pizza. Highly recommend.

Shadow Lake itself is a uniqely beautiful lake: clear, clean and very deep. This ogigatrophic lake has the meaurably second clearest water of any body of water in the state. Our waterfront camp is located on a quiet corner of the lake and accessable only by a private road. With an eastern exposure, sunrises over the lake are beautiful and afternoons are shaded with minimal wind. Wildlife is everywhere for observing (loons, mink, eagles, hummingbirds, snowshoe hares, beavers, otters) and the lake is steps way from house for relaxing, boating, fishing or swimming.
