Magnolia Marvel is located two blocks to the bustling Freret Corridor. You will find amazing restaurants, bars, coffee shops, festivals, and open markets featuring local arts and crafts just steps from the house! This classic two bedroom, one bathroom home is totally remodeled and walking distance to Mardi Gras parades and St. Charles Avenue streetcar line! The house is centrally located anywhere in the city, including Bourbon Street, French Quarter, Superdome, Convention Center, & downtown.

Another Marvelous Visit!

In the past two years, this is the 2nd time I stayed at this property. Everything is just as nice as the first time. I always appreciate the little things, like the Keurig with pods so I don't have to buy coffee for a short visit. The host is very responsive should any issues arise. The location is great - within a mile of Loyola/Tulane for family visits. A market and fun restaurants are just 2 short blocks away. Very easy to get a rideshare from this location to anywhere you want to go in the city. Hoping this will be available for my trip!

Perfect for college move in weekend

We needed a place to fit the family for move in weekend and this fit the bill. Decent walk to campus and to restaurants in Freret. Owners were super responsive and it had everything we needed and more (little things like it having Keurig coffee pods for their Keurig machine and laundry detergent was nice since it's not something you want to buy or bring for a few night stay).

Ok stay.

The rental unit was very clean and tidy. Communication with the host was easy and prompt, and check-in was seamless. The photos accurately represented the unit when we arrived. The unit was quiet at night, which is important as my family is sensitive to noise at night when trying to sleep. But for us, the location was not as optimal as we had hoped. While it was away from the main party scene in NOLA, the walls with the adjoining unit were very thin, and we could hear parts of our neighbors' conversations, their dogs barking (fortunately only during the daytime), and their floors creaking when walking. Also, one of the neighbors a few doors down the street had a very loud outdoor party on the street one day, with music blasting for hours. (fortunately it was in the daytime hours only). The neighborhood was not very busy (perhaps because it was in June?) with very few people milling about Freret St, and the unit is just 1 block from Oschner Hospital -- both of which did not instill the feeling that the neighborhood was particularly safe, though we didn't think it was very dangerous as long as you were street smart. Nevertheless, we did not go out at night. The only minor points were that many of the towels were bleach stained and need replacing, and the laundry detergent had run out (check-out process requires starting a load for used towels). Considering all of these things, the rental rate is likely fair.

The house has beautiful old charm, high ceilings, hardwood floors, and classic details with an updated kitchen and bathroom. The beds are super comfy with luxury linens and the decor is modern and fun! The kitchen is fully furnished including a Keurig and local Community Coffee pods with a variety of different flavors and boldness. There is seating for six in the eat in kitchen. A washer and dryer are provided with laundry pods during your stay as well!

The Freret Corridor is located in one of the hottest neighborhoods in New Orleans! The house is an easy two block walk to some of the best dining and entertainment the city has to offer. There are yoga studios and boutique gyms in the Freret Corridor as well. It is also walking distance to the St Charles Avenue streetcar line and Mardi Gras parades! Magazine Street is a short Uber ride away and features even more great restaurants, bars, and shopping. These are some of our favorite spots within walking distance of the house: -Vals on Valence (street tacos, amazing craft cocktails in an outdoor setting) -Mojo Coffee Shop -Midway Pizza (fantastic deep dish pizza in an eclectic setting) -Dat Dog (a New Orleans favorite featuring specialty hot dogs in an outdoor setting) -Cure (an upscale lounge serving craft cocktails and food) -Humble Bagel (Delicious bagels and breakfast, often selling out before closing) -High Hat Cafe (enjoy traditional New orleans fare) -Bearcat Cafe (serving an excellent breakfast and lunch, often with a line wrapped around the block) -Ancora (Italian restaurant) -Starbucks -Acropolis (Greek/Meditteranean food) -The Company Burger (Great locally owner burger spot) -Mint Modern Vietnamese -Origami (Sushi) -Liberty Cheesesteaks -Good Bird (Rotisserie, sandwiches, and salads) -Iacovone (Grab and go fare from a renowned chef) -Gasa Gasa (live music venue and bar) -Blaze Pizza -Dominoes Pizza
