Nice Place

This was a nice little studio. The bed and furniture were comfortable. The property is quite remote and deep into the mountains. Perfect for a weekend getaway. The driveway into the property can be confusing but following the signage for "Lodge" will get you where you need to go.

Nice Retreat

I was looking for a place to stay while I was up for the Grandfather Mtn Highland Games and this looked like a nice clean place to stay on the VRBO site. The price and location to event were just what I was looking for. Jenifer and Jed have a beautiful place here and are truly great hosts. Jen met me as I pulled in the first day, was very nice and made me feel welcome from the start. I met Jed the next morning and he, too, was nice and is a great guy. Lodge room #4 had more space than I needed for just me, but, being back in the woods like it is, it was a great place to which to return after spending my days at the games. Yes, the bathroom is small (I’m 6’3 and 310 pounds), however, the description on the site is an honest assessment, so I knew what to expect before I made my reservation. I had no problem with the bathroom and it worked just fine for me. Give Jed and Jenifer a try the next time you’re in the area. They have lots of tent spaces, camper sites, the lodge is great and they have several single cabins they are getting ready to rent.
