“Mermaid’s Journey” is a one bedroom RV and has everything you need to have a romantic getaway on the Texas Coast. Being that “Mermaid’s Journey” is only 300 ft to the shore of Matagorda Bay allowing our guests to enjoy amazing views of Sunrises over the bay, watching the dolphins or many varieties of birds. The new public fishing pier is only steps away along with the famous crabbing bridge and white sand crushed shell Magnolia Beach making your visit absolutely amazing!

Quiet neighborhood and close to fishing pier

Enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and history of Indianola. Close to pier and caught lots of fish. Bait guy comes to pier, too.

Great place to stay while doing a few days of fishing. There was plenty of room to park the boat.

Our first real vacay.

All in all, we had a nice time. We were not far from beach. Did not spend much time on property but the night sleeps were great. Ac in working order for these hot days. We would go back again to do more fishing. Property owners were very nice people.

Weekend getaway

My husband I took our girls for a last minute weekend trip. We really enjoyed our stay! Caught lots of great fish and made many great memories! The host was great and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Mother Nature

The property was everything it promised to be, very clean with a lot of personal touch. Unfortunately, my time was cut very short due to storms and high winds. However, Natalie was absolutely the greatest host! She informed of Mothers Nature's wrath to come, maintained contact with me while I made a decision on whether to stay and even gave me a partial refund when I decided not to stay. Communication with the host was super easy and she was also super accommodating. I will definitely return for a stay at another time. Thank you!

New Years Getaway

I decided to take myself and my three boys to see the ocean for the first time and decided to stay in Port Lavaca at this great camp site in this super clean, cute, nicely decorated and somewhat stocked/furnished camper for a very affordable price! My boys and I loved it! The owners were very friendly and came by to give us fishing tips and to meet us. We all had a great time!

Baycation

Family getaway was well enjoyed at the property, anything we needed was quickly taken care of by the owners if we had an issue, which was due to a power outage the day prior. Perfect spot in the middle of both “town” where you can easily go fish, chill at the beach, or relax and cook at the camper. Definitely recommend!

Super responsive host

Great location with a water view and walking distance to the beach. Hosts were always quick to respond and find a solution for anything we needed.

Great Beach Stay

Very clean, quiet, and comfortable stay! Very uncomplicated. Everything in working order. Great outside sitting area, able to view the water, which is within walking distance. Made great steaks on the outside grill (steaks compliments of Smitty's in Lockhart)! Hosts were very responsive to questions. Look forward to visiting again! Thanks!

Mermaids Journey Port Lavaca

It was nice, clean and just few yards from the bay.. No beach down by the place but could walk or drive just down the road and go. But just to get away for a few days I would recommend to stay here.
