Walk to Beach!

Modern and clean recent construction, just ten minutes walk to Manuel Antonio Beach and right in the middle of a hotspot for monkey crossings! Location is also walking distance to Biesanz Beach, a calm cove perfect for swimming and for children. Walk to Shana by the Sea Resort and purchase a day pass for spa, gym, and pool usage and to many great restaurants. House has a small plunge pool for cooling off too! Because of the steep stairs, we only allow children age 10 and up. No loud music or partying after 10 p.m.. Policies are strictly enforced.

The house was very clean and if you come to Quepos to see monkeys, you will not be disappointed! Just stand on the back patio and you’ll see them! FYI one of the mini splits stopped working and someone was there in a half hour and fixed it. Nice new washer and dryer too.

What an amazing house in a great location. 13 min walk to a beautiful beach, 10 min walk to many restaurants, and a great home with everything you need. The manager, Natasha, took care of a couple of small issues very quickly. We couldnt have asked for a better experience. You cant go wrong with this one!

Truly enjoyed our stay

Great location. Nice well kept property. Close to beach, restaurants and bars. Very private. We enjoyed a nice mix of eating out and cooking, including grilling on the patio. We used the small pool daily. Very comfortable beds and bedding. Christian was available for anything we needed.

Perfect place to see jungle life and ocean

A beautiful place in paradise! You are right in the jungle. We seen more monkeys, birds, iguanas, sloths,bats, butterflies here at the house, than at the park. The house is fully equipped for cooking and beach fun. The beds are comfy. Chris was great getting us set up and has awesome recommendations of things to do and see. It's walking distance to some great shopping and restaurants. The walk to the beach is more of a hike. We had a 44 to get us right on the beach, which we were thankful for. Overall, great experience! Highly recommend.

Hidden gem

Our stay here was exceptional. Quepos is a wonderful place. The food, atmosphere and people were amazing and we look forward to our next visit. Christian (PM) went out of his way to be helpful and accessible. He gave us all kinds of information about the area and he was very patient with my never ending snafu with the alarm system. I didn't realize that you had to go outside to get access to the upstairs but that was no big deal. The house itself was really cute and clean- they aren't kidding about the steep staircase. My one recommendation would be to add a permanent shower rod in the downstairs bath instead of the tension rod. We were lucky enough to see many iguana's on the property and while we only heard the Howler monkeys, we got to see the Squirrel monkeys on our last day - SO cute!! Everything at the house referred to it as Casa de Sal Y Sol so I do think they should change the VRBO description from "Walk to Beach" to "Casa de Sal Y Sol". I think that would make finding it a little easier both on your own and if you must use an Uber/Taxi (streets in Quepos do not have formal markings or signs - Waze saved us multiple times). Would definitely recommend this property.

Gem in the jungle

We had a great time at this beautiful house in the heart of the jungle in Manuel Antonio. Close to beach and restaurants. Very clean, safe and comfortable. Plenty of wild life to see from the house. Christian the property manager was very helpful and promptly to respond. Would definitely stay here again

A Wonderful Experience!

Everything about my stay was wonderful! This place was extremely clean and had everything that we needed to be a comfortable. Exceptional Stay!

Our stay at Sal y Sol was superb. The cleanliness and upkeep of the place were excellent. Christian, the property manager, was exceptional, ensuring our comfort and offering great local tips. The location was perfect for exploring Costa Rica's beauty, with easy access to beaches and hiking trails. Overall, highly recommended for a memorable vacation experience. We can't wait to return!

Dans la forêt tropicale!

Excellent deux semaines dans cette charmante maison! On s’est senti immergés dans la forêt tropicale avec la visite quotidienne de trois espèces de singes et de multiples iguanes ainsi que la vue d’un paresseux,’de toucans, de perroquets et j’en passe! Accès proche de la plage mais tout de même chemin escarpé et rocailleux à anticiper… 4x4 fortement recommandé. Proximité des services et de nombreux restaurants. On y retournerait sans hésiter!

Great location and fun time

Christian, the property manager, was extremely helpful before and during our stay. He answered all of our questions and even helped us get groceries on the same night we arrived. Everything was wonderful. The wildlife did not disappoint and we saw more wildlife at the house than anywhere else we traveled in the area. It was a steep walk down to the beach, but very doable if you are comfortable walking. We went down often. The location was perfect for all of our activities in the area. Walking to the top of the hill and the main intersection will find you at a small grocery store, an ATM, and excellent dining at Emilio's Cafe (all about 800 meters away.) The house was perfect for a group of friends. Thanks!

Had a great stay. Location was great - a steep walk up from the beach but only 10 minutes walk. Saw sloths in the trees on the beach:-). Tons of monkeys in the backyard. Only recommendation for the owner is that the outside needs a power washing. Lots of slippery growth on the stepping stones and by the pool… but we had a great time and would stay again

Treehouse in the jungle

We wanted to stay somewhere we would see wildlife daily and this place was exactly that. We say 3 different types of monkeys and they woke us up our first morning! Several resident iguanas, bits and agouti. You can walk/drive to the beach and restaurants if you’re in good shape. The splash pool was refreshing on hot days & to nature watch. Christian was very helpful with recommendations and we hired him to give our teens a surf lesson. We’d stay here again if we return to Manuel Antonio.

House with lots of monkeys and birds

We really enjoyed staying at this house. It is in a nice location, close to some shopping, two beaches, but yet private at the same time. The highlight of the house is that it is on a monkey corridor, and every morning and night three species of monkeys came through. There is a large tree right off the back deck, so the monkey viewing was amazing. The kitchen was adequate, not exactly well-stocked but it did seem to have what we needed. There were a lot of stairs, which didn’t bother us, but would be a problem for some people. We really enjoyed the tiny pool, it is a very hot place and the pool was a nice outdoor refresher. The house was clean inside, but during our stay a lot of monkey poop fell on the patio and stairs. We found ourselves hosing it off daily. There are also some slippery areas by the washer/dryer that really should be pressure washed, or someone might slip. It was great to have a dryer!

MA’s Hidden Jungle Gem

The family trip to Manuel Antonio was amazing on every level. The house’s eco-friendliness beats in time with the heartbeat of the MA jungle! We were visited daily by the monkeys both in the morning and evening so have your cameras ready! An iguana, whom we dub "Iggy," lives here; he would be waiting to have coffee with us in the morning and then again for our afternoon/evening swim in the pool. The much appreciated caretakers were easy to reach and responded quickly to questions we had. The town of Manuel Antonio and the beach are within walking distance. Once you become acclimated to the outside heat and humidity you'll feel right at home while out and about!

Wonderful home in a perfect location!

We loved our stay in this house. The place was expertly cleaned prior to our arrival and was stocked with everything we needed, including boogie boards for the beach! The pool was small, but was perfect for cooling off after a hike/walk in the heat. The property was visited by lots of interesting creatures. We saw some resident iguanas/lizards, 3 types of monkeys (capuchin, squirrel, and howler!), an agouti (a cute little capybara type thing), and saw lots of toucans flying overhead. Be sure to bring good shoes for the quick (but steep!) walk down to the beach. It was very useful to have a car to get up the hill into town. The only downside was that the grill was out of propane, which put a damper on one of our evening meals. Other than that, such a great experience. :)

Loved seeing the monkeys everyday

We recently stayed at this property and had a fantastic time. We arrived after dark and had a little trouble finding the place but not too bad. There was room for our rental vehicle to park off the road. Upon arrival everything was the same as the photos show and our host was there to meet us. He showed us around and let us know we could contact him anytime if we had questions. He was great to deal with and responded quickly when we called about a couple of things. We were 2 couples and 2 teenagers and had a comfortable stay. The house was clean and only a 10 min walk to the beach. We also were a short walk to groceries and restaurants. I loved this location and felt perfectly safe walking around as there were many vacation rentals and small hotels near by. This particular location was great for the wildlife. We saw families of monkeys every morning and around mid afternoon. There was also a lizard that lives under the exterior stair that we saw a couple of times. The kitchen had most of the utensils and cookware we needed for making breakfast and a few dinners. TP and soap were also provided in the bathrooms. The TV in the living area had Netflix and the wifi was good. No complaints from the teenagers! I wouldn’t hesitate to rent this place again. We all loved it. Thanks for providing such a wonderful experience.

Résidence exceptionnelle !!!

Nous avons passé un séjour extraordinaire ! La villa est à la hauteur de nos attentes, des photos et de la description. L’environnement est tout simplement incroyable ! La plage intime, sauvage. A fantastic find for friends

Our group of friends stayed here for a wedding in the area. This house is in a great location between the beach and town. There are some lizards living under the stairwell entrance that acted as our guards which we appreciated. We enjoyed having such abundant wildlife around. The house was clean and the description was accurate. Nice porches, great showers, and a good kitchen setup. Would recommend.

Treetop Beach House!

This house, Sal y Sol, has everything. It's nestled in the trees, five minutes from town, restaurants, and markets but only an 8 minute walk to a beautiful quiet beach. We saw more monkeys, birds, and other animals from the first and second floor balconies of the house than we did in Manuel Antonio nature park. The interior is a great layout. The kitchen has all you need for cooking any meal, and the towels and sheets are high-end and luxurious. Beds are super comfortable and bathrooms are modern. Christian, the property manager, is super friendly. He lives nearby and was always helpful with quick answers to any question. Our family of four really loved our stay at this beautiful house.

Loved our stay!

We absolutely loved staying at this property! The check-in was easy, the place was very clean. We saw capuchin monkeys in the mornings and evenings and we could hear the howler monkeys. The layout was a bit different, there is a door and stairs separating the upper bedrooms from the lower bedroom. Our teens enjoyed the privacy. And it's an easy 8 minute walk to the beach, but a strenuous walk uphill to come back. We enjoyed every minute and would love to return someday to this property.

Perfect house!!

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was very clean, comfortable beds, hot water, great scenery, and the small pool was a real bonus! As noted, there are a lot of stairs, it was not a problem for us at all, but if you have any mobility issues this is not the house for you. The beach is about 10 min away but it’s a very steep trek back up the hill. I’d recommend a car for Manuel Antonio in general. We loved our stay and would come back!

Perfect Vacation Spot!

My friends and I had such a wonderful vacation in Manual Antonio! The beautiful beaches, jungles, waterfalls, wildlife, people, food and this property made for a spectacular week! If you are considering visiting Manuel Antonio, do it! And stay here! This property has all you need. Beautiful landscaping, cute pool to relax in, plenty of space, sparkling clean, and beautiful decor! The washer and dryer came in handy too for beach towels, swimsuits, etc. Owner and property manager were super responsive and helpful! We can't wait to come back, Pura Vida!
