Oceanblock & Downtown Bethany - 1 bed/1.5 bathroom with Outdoor Space and Grill

Oceanblock, and one block from Bethany’s main street, this newly renovated 1 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom unit is perfect for your next vacation.

The apartment is at the rear courtyard of 116 Hollywood Street, a mere 200 yards from the beach, with no need to cross any major roads or highways to get there. A washer dryer is free to use in the building’s separate laundry room, which is shared with the upstairs apartment. The building also features an outdoor shower (also shared with the upstairs apartment).

Just renovated for the 2021 season, this unit sleeps up to 4 guests (with pull-out sofa or, as an alternative, a host-provided air mattress in the living room), and features a well-equipped kitchen, living area, en-suite half-bathroom, and private outdoor space with grill.

With the included street-parking pass, you can park your car and simply walk to the beach, boardwalk, and Bethany’s downtown shops and restaurants.

Children are welcome! Guests provide their own sheets and linens, and we are happy to recommend linen-rental companies.

This apartment can be rented along with the main house and an additional unit at the rear of the property--creating up to a 7 bedroom, 6.5 bath compound, with three kitchens and separate spaces perfect for larger gatherings and multi-generational vacations. Discounts are available for combined bookings.

Perfect beach getaway

I had a great getaway at this rental—just steps from the beach and boardwalk, with a super helpful parking pass that made everything easy. The place had all the conveniences you’d want for a comfortable stay, and the host was incredibly responsive and patient throughout. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect location, family friendly, clean

Great walking distance to the beach and downtown Bethany beach. Clean home, parking pass is great so you don't have to worry. We will definitely be visiting again. We would recommend staying here.

Late winter long weekend

We booked one of the apartments at the rear of the property but the owner graciously upgraded us to the main house, which we really enjoyed. The location is excellent and the house is very comfortable. We really enjoyed our visit

The location of this place was awesome! It’s less than 5 minutes walking distance from the beach and boardwalk, which was very helpful for us with a 6 month old infant! It is also very close to a nice park.The hosts/owners were also very responsive and helpful. The silverware drawer in the kitchen could have been cleaner (the silverware holder, not the silverware—that was pretty clean), but other than that we really liked it!

Great Trip

We had a wonderful trip. The unit was clean and had everything we needed. The location is superb and the courtyard was very useful. Bill, our host, went above and beyond to communicate and help us with everything we needed. Would absolutely come back.

Great location for a weekend getaway

Excellent location! My husband and I were looking for a weekend getaway and this location did not disappoint. Walking distance from the boardwalk and many restaurants. Bill was a very kind and responsive host. Could not have been happier! We were there in early April and enjoyed off season free parking and no crowds.

A wonderful location to enjoy beautiful Bethany Beach. Less you than a block to the beach and to stores and restaurants. Clean and well stocked with all necessary amenities. Bill is a gracious host. Responded quickly to my correspondence.

Great Location!

This place is located just a very short walk to the beach but also in a neighborhood without trouble of finding street parking. It was really the perfect location. Additionally, Bill and Ashley are among the best hosts I’ve dealt with. They are super communicative, always responding to queries within minutes and provided very detailed information before arrival. The apartment was spotless and spacious. In short, I would stay there again!

We had the upstairs apartment in the back of the main house. It was very clean and comfortable.very easy check in and out with the homeowner It has a beautiful courtyard with plenty of outdoor space for a quiet night just sitting around with friends. Very close to the beach and the boardwalk and some really nice restaurants. Would highly recommend this place to family and friends or even another long weekend trip.

Wonderful stay

The location was perfect(1 block from town and 200 yards to the beach), and the bed very comfortable. Owner answered almost immediately when we had questions. He was very concerned about the rain we had all weekend and offered us extras. Key in lock box with code so we did not have to worry about it. All around great place and we will be back.

Great place. Best location. 1 block to the boardwalk and beach. Just me and my 15 yo son, but could have easily been comfortable for a family of four. Bill is an excellent host. Communication is great. Can’t think of anything that would have made it better. Thanks, Bill!

Owner very responsive and friendly. Bethany is a freat place to stay in late September. Weather was very nice. Our accommodations were great. Didn’t know there was an upstairs above us. Guests above us woke us both mornings at 6 am stomping around for 1/2 hour each day. Other than that is was a wonderful getaway for us.

Perfect for us

My wife, myself and my daughter and grandson needed a place for the week and I was considering a hotel room. Don’t! Bills place was perfect for our sized group, was impeccably clean and well thought out. It is a 1 br apartment which is part of a 3 unit property, also a 2 br apartment and a 4 br house. The sense of community with the other guests was really nice but if you want privacy u can have it. The location is a 10/10 and you will most likely pay the same or more to stay in a hotel that is nothing close to what you get here! Bill is the consummate owner. Kind and responsive from day 1. This was a rare grouping for us but if it ever presents again, we will stay here again for sure !!!

Wonderful last minute getaway!

I cannot say enough great things about this property. Bill was an excellent, thorough communicator throughout the process. The house was located in an ideal location ine block from everything. It was also the ideal size for two adults. The patio area was very well done though reserved for the main house we were able to utilize it two day while the main house was unoccupied. There’s also a small patio and table for this property as well. It was just so cute and perfect. You are in the main/lower floor and you will hear people upstairs if that properly is also booked but you get used to it. The home has all the amenities including washer dryer beach chairs and umbrellas. We usually stay in larger home with our extended family but we were solo this year and we will def stay again!
