We booked looking for snow and ended up driving here during a blizzard. Elyse was the most incredible VRBO host I’ve ever had. She gave us a place to stay in St. Ignace when it got too icy to complete our drive up here. Then the next day kept in constant contact as we drove 30 mph the rest of the way to get here before the bulk of the storm dumped all the snow. Then after we did get stuck only four houses away, she assured us help would be here to dig us out. And they did! Before we arrived, we stopped in Newberry for a very quick grocery run at the incredibly friendly Rahilly’s IGA and once got up here chose not to leave again. When Elyse showed up near the end of our stay she brought us a pizza for supper because our groceries were dwindling. Pine Stump pizza! So good! The next day, she and her Superhero son helped dig us out a second time because snow kept falling throughout the week. They are the kindest and loveliest people. We didn’t have any troubles with the house. There’s a generator in case the power goes out. The bed was warm and comfy. The shower was warm and great. The kitchen was very well stocked with seasonings and extras and pots and pans one might need. We will be so sad to leave this house with its incredible views. Cannot wait to come back in the summer and then again in the winter. Thank you for sharing this property with all of us.
