Inviting waterfront home has uninterrupted views of marshlands. Children will love fishing and crabbing from the dock on the back bay. Birders will enjoy frequent sightings of blue heron and white egrets. Or, launch our kayak's directly off the dock and explore miles of waterways. Boat slip available

The property has a large dock with a swim ladder; attached to a large covered deck, that offers shade from the sun while enjoying the spectacular marsh views and a fire table. The house has been recently renovated and updated with new appliances. After a long day at the beach, rinse-off in the enclosed, hot-water, outdoor shower before enjoying happy hour on the covered deck at the end of the pier. Enjoy grilling (gas grill provided) and outdoor dining on the decks with incredible views. TV, cable, high-speed Internet. Two kayaks (2 single) are available for use.

What should you bring? Its a waterfront location, so bring all of the toys e.g. kayaks, fishing rods, crab traps, water floats, umbrellas, beach chairs. For land-lovers, bring your bikes and sport equipment to utilized the multiple recreation area's on 7 mile island!

Stone Harbors famous beaches are a 30 minute walk or 7 minute drive from the house. Quaint shops and lovely restaurants are a 20 minute walk into town. The Wetlands Institute where children can enjoy many wildlife programs and touch animals in the live feeding tanks; adults can view the nearby nesting osprey, take back bay boat rides and enjoy lectures about the Wetlands is a short distance down the road. Cape May, an historic Victorian town, is a 20 minute drive south on the Garden State Parkway. Visit the Zoo, a 10 minute drive north on the Garden State Parkway. Take the kids to enjoy a day of amusement rides and water parks at the Wildwood boardwalk, 20 minutes south (rides appropriate for children ages 3+). Follow on Instagram @backbaygetaway. Perfect location and just the right size for us. Plenty of outdoor space and beautiful views. House was very clean and well stocked. Check in couldn’t of been easier and Frank was very responsive and easy to deal with. Highly recommend!!

Lovely Renovated Cottage on the Mardh

The property was easy to find, included great amenities and the landlord was a pleasure. Communication and property were both excellent. The outdoor area was nicely planned with two relaxing zones plus the dock.

Beautiful place! Great location...close to everything! The dock was a beautiful place to sit and enjoy everything from the sunset, the birds settling in the marsh at dusk, morning coffee...it was the wonderful!

Relaxing vacation in Stone Harbor

We had a lovely week in Stone Harbor. House is lovely, clean and comfortable. We grilled a few of our dinners out on the deck. Views from the deck are beautiful. Close to town and beach. Quick drive to nearby Avalon. Great zoo in Cape May Courthouse 15 mins away. Great place to relax!

Wonderful!!!

This house is perfect! Perfect location and perfect set up. The beach and main street of Stone Harbor are just a few minutes drive. Cape May is also very close. The house is very clean and very well kept and stocked with EVERYTHING you need for the kitchen and for the beach. It was nice to have the extra half bath as well as the outdoor shower. And Frank is a great host! We will be back for sure.

Absolutely beautiful excellent property! View is phenomenal and everything we could possibly want was included. Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the Blvd out front - folks are not obeying the new lower speed limit. Police need to set up some speed traps. Not the hosts fault. But I would be very cautious with kids and pets when exiting and entering the property. That said I've been going to Stone Harbor for a very long time and this could be the nicest property I've ever stayed in!

Perfect Vacation!

A great mix of relaxing, kayaking, crabbing, going to the beach and the Wildwood Boardwalk. Awesome views, sunsets and nature right on the dock leading to the bay. We'll be back!

Lovely Vacation With A Lovely View

Everything about our stay was great, the rental house, location, closeness to anything we wanted to do or see. We enjoyed the lovely views from the house & decks... of the back bay water canal & lush marsh grasses. From there we sighted Ospreys, Pipers, Rail birds, Large & small white Egrets, Blue Herons & more! Neighbors were friendly & quiet. Bed & pillows... very comfortable. Many very good eating/dining options near by & a local fresh produce place on same road as the house & along there also is Bayside Seafood market were we picked up awesome huge cooked shrimp... extremely fresh & they have many other options & great crab cakes. We also used the grill for some steaks & also a lovely fish dinner! Beaches were clean & parking not a problem. We hope to go back!

Sitting on the dock in NJ- nothing better

This property has great access to the Jersey shores most beautiful areas. I found that the house had all that was needed for a small family getaway. Kayaks were a plus and on my first try at crabbing, I caught and released a big beauty of a crab. Very nice outdoor shower! Very encouraged to see the speed limit on Stone Harbor Blvd was reduced to 35mph, as cars are not patient with getting in and out of the parking spot. Plan to return!

Amazing vacation

This was such a beautiful house with the most amazing sunsets. Perfect water fun for our kids and excellent relaxing space under covered deck on the dock! Close ride to the beach but we spent most of our days on the dock relaxing, painting, reading, and watching our girls paddle board and kayak! Wonderful vacation!!

Relaxing vacation on the bay

The house was nicely decorated and had all the necessary items plus a few extras like kayaks, washer, dryer, extra powder bathroom and comfortable pull out sofa for guests. The deck was lovely, especially at sunset. The owner was quick to remedy a small issue with missing beach tags taken by the previous renter. Overall, a very nice property.

Fantastic Summer getaway

Frank's house was a cute little property tucked away on the back bay. Our week there was absolutely fantastic! Although, it is only a 1Br, 1.5 bath, it was more than enough room for our family (2 adults, 2 children (7y, 9y)). The house had been completely renovated both inside and out and had a modern farmhouse vibe with all the conveniences. The house was very clean and we loved the decor. Everything in it was brand new. Outside the house, it opens up to a fantastic backyard with a dock on the back bay. We spent every morning with a cup of coffee in hand looking at the water and watching the birds. Our children loved that they could crab right off of the dock, as well as kayak. Frank also had a pot that we used to cook our catch! We also liked the back shed that was big enough to store our bikes and our inflatable SUP's that we brought. Frank did a great job communicating with us and was wonderful to work with. The only negative was that the house is on a busy road. Inside the house with the air on, you do not hear the road and there is a fence that surrounds the property for safety with the kids. When you are out back on the dock, it's an oasis, peaceful and serene! Our only suggestion (as I mentioned everything is new, so we could tell Frank was adding things) would be to consider adding blinds that block the sun better for the back sliding glass door. That view is breathtaking, so you don't want to miss it during the day. But, for anyone sleeping on the pull out sofa, the morning light is very bright. Overall, we loved it. It really was perfect for our family. Our son told us that by far, this is his 'most favorite' beach house!

A beautiful bungalow by the bay.

Loved all the high end amenities this property had to offer. And the outdoor living space and water activities added to the charm of this place.
