Centrally Located Mid Century Traditional Home

This recently renovated home is located minutes from Owensboro’s many sports venues and the downtown riverfront entertainment district and only 15 minutes from Yellow Creek Park, site of the annual International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s annual ROMP music festival.

It boasts four bedrooms (1-K, 1-Q, 2-T/T) on two floors to comfortably sleep 8, two full bathrooms (1-T/S, 1-S), a large fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable living room with gas fireplace, a dining room that can seat 6-10, and a basement with a TV area, a huge laundry area, and a ping pong table.

The large yard provides off street parking and plenty of room to relax. An enclosed front porch and a patio round out the space.

We were careful during the renovation to retain all of the original hardwood flooring and custom woodwork as well as the tiling and plasterwork. Updates such as LED lighting and stainless steel appliances alongside the mid century craftsmanship make for an instantly comfortable home during your time in Owensboro.

High speed WiFi and smart televisions allow you to enjoy your own streaming services. In keeping with our mid century origins, we can also receive local over-the-air broadcasts.

We came into town to visit with family. Chuck and Val are amazing hosts and their home is fantastic. It was perfect for our needs. Tons of space and plenty of amenities as well. The location is literally five minutes from just about anything you’d need and the location is very quiet and private. We’ll definitely check the availability the next time we’re in town.

We loved our stay here! The location was perfect—just a short drive to Holiday World, which made things super convenient for our family. The home had plenty of space for all six of us and was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with, which made the whole experience even better. Would definitely recommend this place for families visiting the area!

Trip to visit family

The property was as advertised. The owner is right next door, friendly, and reached out a few times to make sure we didn't have questions. The kids enjoyed the ping pong table downstairs, the beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen allowed me to cook some large meals to take to family gatherings. No complaints!

Fantastic!

We love this place! With many nice updates, the owner has preserved the mid-century charm of the house. The bedrooms are all quite roomy, and I appreciate that the main floor bedrooms have a dresser (not something we always get at a vacation rental). The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of dishes and silverware, and the living room is a great place to hang out on the cushy sofa. The ping pong table in the basement is fun, and the enormous backyard is lovely. As an Owensboro native who now lives out of state, I've driven down this street probably 10,000 times and never knew that there is a little oasis back there! Chuck is a great host. We come to town several times a year, but this was the first time we tried a vacation rental. After staying here, I think our days staying at a hotel are over. 10/10

A long weekend celebration of Life

Our stay at this property was quite nice. It was the perfect space for what we needed. It is a lovely home that has been preserved over the years and clearly loved. The owners are very hospitable and just right next door if you need anything at all. My only regret is that we didn’t have enough time and the weather wasn’t cooperative for us to play Pickle ball on the awesome court they have made on the driveway.

Outstanding home

Thank you!! We truly enjoyed our stay this weekend. We rented for the weekend as we moved our son into KWC. During our stay we hosted team dinners with our KWC Golf family. The space was wonderful and the boys really enjoyed their ping pong tournaments. Communication with the owner was amazing as well. The information left for us on the kitchen counter was very much appreciated (and yes we all had some tears today leaving our boys at college). Again, THANK YOU!!
